Obama is so diminished in the eyes of the world after midterms that China just agreed to climate change deal. Sucks to be him.

weird that Obama can strike a deal with China, but the GOP obstructs his every move for 5+ years.

You know it's bad when smog covered China is to the left of the GOP on climate change.

GM
Almost didn’t make it past the top photo. Severe test of my will power.
I thought that might slow you down! :-) Mooooooorning Japa!
😍😍😍😍
Congrats on first! :)
Goooooooood moooooooorning GeeeeeeeeeBeeeeeeeee!
Congrats Japa. :star:
Hearty congratulations, japa!
Good morning! :)
GM GB, how are you doing today?
I’m still asleep :) :)
*I’m a little stronger today.
Prayers for your healing. We all support you.
Thank you!
Michelle Obama is so stunningly beautiful. Inside and out.
FLOTUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!
Just wanted to make a quick observation. The day before the election, TOD hit the 28 million mark. 1.5 weeks later closing in on 28.2. Why am I pointing this out?
Some people where obviously dejected by the results. AMK has gone, at least for a time. I haven’t seen Jovie around since just before the election.
The media is talking about how PBO is a lame duck who will get nothing accomplished and who must now cave in to the GOP (obviously disproven by the last few days).
It would be somewhat understandable if there was a drop off in the number of hits.
Instead, there is actually a slight uptick in hits per day.
Shows two things. TOD remains the place to be for all the real news and the number of people who want the real news and who totally support this man is still strong and will get stronger.
The more the media and GOP (and yes, some fellow Dems in Congress) try to tear him down, the more we have his back.
Yes, Japa.
Plus—having his back (which we would do no matter what) is made even easier by the extraordinary things PBO achieves on a daily basis.
This deal with China is breathtaking.
You’re so right Japa…this place is a growing oasis.
P.S. I think Jovie was banned from posting (at least temporarily). I suspect that he still lurks regularly. Maybe amk does too - who knows!? :)
I’m waiting for Jovie to burst through the TOD door and say: “TOLD YA: DOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!” :-)
I thought the same thing - he must have been semi-gloating about this all last week…
:-)
I really doubt if he was gloating. Fact is, a lot of us dismissed the polls. Just like GOP did in 2012.
Yes some did. Morning TOD.
I agree Japa. I believe Jovie truly loves PBO and sees the media manipulation as a reality; coming here for solace.
Thank you for your observations….my HOPE and Change ..were reaffirmed at the Press Conference….
like Donna’s tweet amplifies…he does not have time complaints and woe is me stuff…he is on a mission for the people of America…he is still following his North Star…and I am still following him!
I honestly expected a big drop since the election Japa, so many of us were so disillusioned, but the spirit is wonderful, everyone more determined than ever to have PBO’s back. An inspirational bunch of folk!
Thanks a million Japa.
Undoubtedly!
GM Japa21, congrats on #1 (and for not hating winter yet, since we’re still smack-dab in the middle of Autumn, LOL).
The behavior of the MSM since the election has proven that sane people *need* TOD because the MSM has ramped up its ODS #BlameObama for everything that happens in the world, including actions taken by foreign leaders.
Plus, japa21, this site has been a place (if not *the* place) to come to help us get over the disappointment of the election results. Yes, we have expressed or anger, sadness, outrage, depression. But we are also finding calming words — from each other and from our President — that have helped us to accept what happened and move forward. This site has helped tamp down the cynicism and hold on to hope. Through this site, we have been given visibility of our President as he continues to press on. In doing so, we have been given our cue as to how we should move forward.
People gravitate towards light. The beacon that is TOD continues to attract us. Thanks Chipsticks, Nerdy Wonka, and all TODers who are helping to keep the light shining.
“The more the media and GOP (and yes, some fellow Dems in Congress) try to tear him down, the more we have his back.”
say it again.
Congratssssssssss japa…. :star:
Official Good Morning to Chips, nerdy and TOD.
The front page of Al Jazeera-English- does not even mention US/China agreement.
This item is for you if you believe that AJ is a decent source for news.
Speaker Boehner can go sit on a cactus and spin.

Good morning TOD folks! Great pics. Love FLOTUS in that dress. Congrats to PBO for his great success in China.
GM TODville.
Pete Souza has brightened our day by uploading #APEC2014 photos to Instagram.
OK, tweet #fail.
Here’s what I intended to tweet:
i remember this day…OMGGGGGGGGgG :-O
The voice that was heard around the world!!!!!
they want to grab us by the throat till we can hardly breathe….extortion tactics it is..
Hope this works: Wet POTUS will save our future. Future historians will mark his accomplishments; GOP and MSM hacks will be in the dustbin of history.
We are so fortunate to have TOD for coverage of the real work of the day. Media is a joke.
GREAT Tweet!!!
Love love love that toon, Vicki!
I also saw a tweet somewhere that the Climate deal with China is Obamacare for the environment! :)
Ahhh…on that note…off to make a tweet….
Gooooooo for it!! :-)
See what I did there?
:-)
If any of you have been reading my Ferguson comments you will remember that a city official told me a “machine” had been brought in by the FD. The official wouldn’t say what the machine was.
According to scattered reports it may be a drone that will jam communications.
Same thing we used in Libya, for example and in ISIL territory, no doubt.
I am pleading with my daughter to get herself and her kids over to the other grandparents who live in Colombia, Missouri.
Something is afoot.
What prompted Jay Nixon (that weasel) have a press conference yesterday to essentially slam the citizens of #Ferguson when the world was aghast at the police reaction/militarization, comparing the August scenes to those in actual war-torn areas?
Arapaho, sadly what I fear is afoot is a demonstration of why used military equipment is being sent to small precincts throughout the country.
Increasing income inequality and obvious unfairness leading to civil unrest.
Civil unrest will not be tolerated.
St. Louis is setting up a paradigm.
OMG….Pray for us
does the Justice Dept trump Gov Nixon re: command
If the GOP’s intent is to do nothing, of course they are enraged by President Obama getting things done.
Ooooh…another shirt! :) As usual, even in plaid, our President looking dashingly handsome and dapper. Love it.
“even in plaid”
 He’d look awesome in an empty Cheesy Puffs packet!
he looks amazzzzzzzzing…but i did not like that shirt on him yesterday….but to get that deal done he would have worn almost anything…haha…it is like that commercial in which the sister wears this hideous bride maid’s dress because she loves her sister…i did that for my sister…altho i must say that the dress in the commercial beat the one i had to wear…
Who has the handsomest President ever?
We do.
Wearing Obama Blue. I wonder if the varying colored shirts have significance.
that man is so frakkin’ sexy in that shirt.
Amazon Update on Chuckie’s Book:
11 reviews
1-star (10)
5 -star (1)
Average 1.4 star out of 5 stars.
ROTFLMAO!
And the 5 star was a sarcastic 5 stars. The review tore the book apart.
Indeed Japa - it was really a 1-star review, but the reviewer smartly anticipated that giving it a 1-star review would cause his “special” trashing to be ignored in a sea of other 1-star reviews. Giving it 5 stars on the surface was to get people to notice and click on it, and it worked brilliantly! :) :)
Loving the Updates…keep them coming
Here’s pushback against GOP/MSM/Koch narrative about energy efficiency costing US jobs (link to UCLA study in article), which is #MSM bleats this morning.
Cold shower time?
As I said to a Twitter friend, Japa, I’m focused purely on policy. Any way, there’s not enough cold water on planet earth.
Hmmm, curious as to exactly what kind of policy you are focused on.
Oh, you know, stuff, important stuff.
Now these shirts are much better than the ones at APEC.
They’re outstanding, LL - we need TOD shirts just like them.
Hello TOD.
Thanks for all the hard work.
Congrats to all the Gold Star Winners since last night.
Great R&S.
Science prevailed. YES!
I am just in awe of an accomplishment like this. I have trouble calculating how to go two miles to be at a place at the right time.
Ladyhawke posted a link to Bill Moyers on this subject on the last thread, but this clearly outlines where undisclosed donors contributed to.

Please correct me if I’m wrong, but Congress doe not get to “ratify” (or more likely fail to ratify) this new climate accord with China since it is not a treaty - right?
I think I heard the deal with China would have to be ratified by the Senate. I have another question….with Bechich’s loss in Alaska, how close are the R’s to a 60 vote veto proof majority? If that happens we can all bend over and kiss our asses goodbye.
Last week it was reported that GOP will have 52 Senate seats.
With Begich’s loss, if Landrieu loses, it looks like they’ll have 54 seats.
So, they’ll still be quite a few shy of 60 seats. :)
They don’t have a veto-proof majority. They most they will end up with is 55 (with Landrieu and if Manchin switches). They’re now at 53 with the AK win.
