Looks as though Pope Francis is going to be one of the two great communicators of the 21st c., along with President Obama!

It sure does look that way. I do like how his mind works and how he’s able to express his sense of compassion so clearly and with such impact. I hope he gets to spend some time with POTUS when he comes to the U.S.

Seems to me, John Boehner should pay attention to the head of his church, and so should some other fellow church members!!!

Amen, Carolyn, Boner and the devoutly catholic Chief Justice Roberts would do well to ask themselves (when they are confused about the right thing), “What Would Jesus Do?” It makes everything so much simpler.

Pope Francis speaks from the Communion paradigm of life and existence, where the primacy of love is what matters. John Boehner and Catholics of his ilk are operating from the Domination paradigm where power and wealth are what matters. I think we all know which paradigm Jesus is in.

Once I hosted a party for my then-young son and my guests kept offering to “bring things.” Yeah okay I said. One of my guests brought her mother (along with her voluntary “thing”), who said to my friend, “That Jackie’s as sly as a fox.”

      That’s hosting, right?

All Congressional types should begin their tweets with “I agree with the President.” We might start agreeing with them, in that case.

I agree, Bob. If just here and there, for a time, every now and then, we could feel “all’s right with the world,” wouldn’t that be somethin’?

      Goodnight, TOD.

good evening todville (or morning if that’s where you are)-

here’s a nice summation of the king vs burwell case which will be addressed by the supreme court soon. i like to picture pbo smiling his broad, grand smile while the rethugs fall into this tidy trap.

‘ Republican politicians are, as of now, gleeful at the prospect of the Court delivering a blow to Obamacare. But, once the economic and political consequences of those disappearing subsidies kick in, Republicans could well end up wishing King v. Burwell had never seen the light of day. ‘

upchuck todd’s book is dropping further in price and stars on amazon. now $16.99, but out of stock- probably print on demand, or they already dumped the first print run on remainder tables. average number of stars is 1.6 out of a possible 5, from 25 reviews. and under the row of stars, amazon writes ‘trade-in eligible for an amazon gift card’. basically it’s so bad, they’re giving refunds.

Early good Tuesday morning TOD. I have a question for you tech savvy ones: This morning I woke up to a series of “retweets” in my email.. of a tweet I sent to DSCC in AUG of 2012- this tweet: Today I heard Sen Testor’s radio ad, wherein he never once mentioned being a Democrat, but did state 2x how he opposed ‘Obama’. #Bad

Although whoever pulled it out of my tweets, added the #Bad.. heres my question: I did NOT retweet that… so how does someone come along and pull that tweet out of my thousands of tweets and send it yesterday like it just happened??

If anyone can enlighten me on this, please?

sherijr, I don’t know jack about twitter. But I think whoever did this looked thru your timeline and found it, especially after what he said yesterday in his news conference about KLX pipe line. It would have to be someone that is friends with you to get into your TL I think.

thanks Roberta, I’m really flummoxed by this… they would have had to look long and hard to get to my 2012 tweets, although I suppose it could be someone that kept that tweet themselves from 2012. Just so weird this new fangled technology ;)

Good morning, TOD. Dropping in as I try waking, via caffeine. Rough day ahead, funeral for a neighborhood Auntie this morning. The past year it seems my “social” life has consisted of funerals/memorials at least 2-3 times per month; I’ve only attend one each of a Birthday, anniversary, and baby shower parties. I’ve also only attended one jazz weekend, three concerts (one hosted at my home); if up to it, I’m going to see Black Violins this evening at a local university. “Life 101″ is currently NOT like I envisioned it would be; however, I DO count my Blessings…

May you have a day filled with love, peace and joy!
