Martin Place is now trending on Twitter. I’m still struggling to understand how we got this so wrong. When bid Laden was killed this branch of al Queda was not affected. It just doesn’t add up how we thought their numbers were in the hundreds or few thousands but now have this worldwide cult following; the type of following where women all over the world, including women here in the US, to be so anxious to move to Syria and Iraq and give up their life for these heinous men. It seems we continue to underestimate their numbers and their ability to continue to gain followers in spite of the unnamed air war coalition we have in place.

Heads up! HBO is playing a remastered for HD version of The Wire—all 5 seasons in order—-starting on Dec. 26. Michael P. Jordan—a very young Michael is Wallace, Idris Elba is Stringer Bell and so on.
Possibly the best TV ever.
I’m going to try to catch at least some of it again.
Also, The Walking Dead, starting on December 29—all the episodes in order. (I don’t think The Walking Dead has many fans here.)
Both my husband and daughter watch The Walking Dead… :) Not me.

My Lord! This family is just GORGEOUS!! I mean, smart and picture postcard perfect. Can you imagine the grief any boyfriend of Malia or Sasha will have to get past Pops, Mom, AND G-mom!! I almost (almost) feel sorry for the young men.
I am so grateful to have these wonderful, brilliant, and lovely people representing our nation as our First Family. What an honor to be alive and knowing that we helped make this presidency possible along with so many beautiful people and see and enjoy this Holiday Season with our TOD family this year.

Here is that perfect word again: Exquisite. Simply exquisite. No youngster likes to smile readily while wearing braces, that’s just how it is. Each one of our First Family is beautiful, elegant, and grace-filled. I wish more of us were like them!

recalling the great smell of soil as it received the first raindrops after a dry season;

The First Daughters are so beautiful gracious kind engaging smart - fabulous role models for teenagers around the world. And of course their parents, POTUS and FLOTUS are the greatest role models of all. I love my First Family.

Yes they are beautiful inside and out and this is why so much of the hate is really envy.
