Good morning TOD, I know that I am in Nigeria but the fact that he is in Kenya makes me so excited that at least we are presently in the same continent :-)
Sweet! Morning Sophia!!
And thanks a mill for posting this Nerdy!
Hey Sophia :) I’m still up waiting for more pics of PBO’s journey and any pics of FLOTUS at the Special Olympics. I tried to watch on ESPN but it kept stalling out. Dammit!
Early Morning everyone…I too am waiting for more pics of our President’s trip abroad!!!!
He’s about to address the Kenyan people in the country’s largest Stadium and the biggest audience he’s had so far.
Auma is introducing him, which is really classy.

Good morning TOD folks! How nice to be up for this.
No boubt adout it, you people have got to be insane; ….however, GooOOOood MooOOOoorning to you!!! :)
Some of us are working. You are up too. Should I read something into that? other than a great love for PBO?
You can read that insanity is catching. :)
Morning, Alma-b!
morning vc!
Hi, Alma-b! :)
PBO’s speech is done, and it’s still dark, so I’m headed back to bed. See you later!

This speech is amazing….
GM CBO.
Just tuning in (:( ).
Confederate flag, genital mutilation… just wow.

Quite a speech.
I do not like listening to folks like Jim Acosta give their report of anything POTUS said. Like yesterday all Acosta tried to report was that their was some big riff between POTUS and the President of Kenya over the comments POTUS made during the Press conference about gays rights. It was just negative, so I just didn’t listen to Acosta anymore. POTUS and the President of Kenya disagree about that, but I’m sure it was done respectfully.
Good ‘night’, TODobots. Back to bed I go to make some use of the darkness that still exists!
Typical reaction to POTUS! :)
CNN carried POTUS speech, I don’t know if they cut away or not. I came to the computer to listen to POTUS.
Obama Diary.
MSNBC carried the entire speech. I was surprised.
Me too because when I turn CNN off and came to my computer, POTUS wasn’t on MSNBC.
You never tire of his speeches. The message is similar but he gives each one a personal local touch. It was great to hear him touch on the themes of his early days. Hope! I wanna play Ne-Yo’s song.
Missed the first part of PBO’s historic speech in Kenya. Sent @pinkbunny response that said: “Me too!”
Just didn’t wake up early enough in the middle of the night to catch speech from the beginning. :(
BTW, this cheeky tweet cracked me up:
Hopelessly behind here.
Is there livestream from Kenya now?
A livestream from Kenya: http://citizentv.co.ke/tv/http://www.kenyamoja.com/tv/citizen-tv-live/
IT’S YOU KNOW WHO2 HERE…JUST CHECKING IN ON PBO…PRAYERS FOR A SAFE AND BEAUTIFUL JOURNEY TODAY………….
I don’t see NW live tweeting PBO’s Kenya’s speech, here are a few from MSM.
AnnieB. - Sorry about Acosta tweet — I share your resentment about how PBO’s state visit to Kenya is portrayed by US media. Don’t have a TV, so don’t know what is said there, but CBS radio has been appalling.
Didn’t see any tweets about a Kenyan organization #YesYouthCan, but you can add “empowering and engaging youth” as part of the Obama Doctrine of multi-national cooperation and diplomacy as the only way to progress and achieve peace.
:) I got back in time!
PBO is ‘introducing’ himself to the group right now! :D
And he’s jumped right in …at

Seems like a small group.
The professor is at work! I’m listening quietly.
Good Morning Eveybody.
Very colourful, thanks N! Sure hope we get a chance to see a bit of their farewell performance.
:-) Morning BFF!!
Good Morning BFF.
Most countries in the world would welcome him as a citizen & he could run for President/PM - there is no requirement in my country for a “natural born citizen” - our current PM was born in England - shame we didn’t have laws about birth place!
It’s no wonder PBO and Auma get along so well. She is so smart, funny, and charming-just like her brother.
Sooo, did the kenyan finally find his bertcert yet?
Wait. a. minute! #werentugiventhejob? #hopeuwerentpaidinadvance!
well, these things take you know.
ICYF, you’ve been to Kenya innumerable times! /sotto voice/ Knowing you, prolly charging it to your #bertcertland expense account.
and whaadyaknow, I am there next week. :)
I *noticed*! :( In fact I commented somewhere earlier on the fact that you and unowho1 will be out of the village at the same time…..**again**. The same thing happened around this time last year, and the year before if I remember correctly. Hmmmm..
yes, we are on our sekrit honeymoon…. third one come to think of it. … keep it a sekrit, will ya?
3rd?? Have to work triple hard to keep the union together, eh?
welllll, you know me.
workinghard to please.#ma

What a great speech and a sweet, delightful introduction by Auma. I notice both Auma and Maya pronounce Barack with the accent on the first syllable, while Michelle and other Americans put the accent on the second. I like the sound of the Kenyan ‘Barack.’ I hope the President’s schedule includes some sleep because he seems to go nonstop. His energy is boundless. It’s too early in the morning for more complex thought, so hope all early birds have a good Sunday.

THANK YOU!
Good Morning Everyone!
I’ve got some catching up to do. Been on a bit of a whirlwind last couple of days.
Such a relief knowing I can always come here to get the details on our Most Outstanding PBO’s wonderful trip to Kenya! Thank you Chips! Thank you Nerdy Wonka!

Good morning, TODville!
LOVE this man:
The First Lady said the other day when she was talking to the students about how you have to work to accomplish your goal, she said that this President works hard, he works hard.
I remember that very well. She was quite serious!
