Good morning TOD, I know that I am in Nigeria but the fact that he is in Kenya makes me so excited that at least we are presently in the same continent :-)

Hey Sophia :) I’m still up waiting for more pics of PBO’s journey and any pics of FLOTUS at the Special Olympics. I tried to watch on ESPN but it kept stalling out. Dammit!

He’s about to address the Kenyan people in the country’s largest Stadium and the biggest audience he’s had so far.

Auma is introducing him, which is really classy.

I do not like listening to folks like Jim Acosta give their report of anything POTUS said. Like yesterday all Acosta tried to report was that their was some big riff between POTUS and the President of Kenya over the comments POTUS made during the Press conference about gays rights. It was just negative, so I just didn’t listen to Acosta anymore. POTUS and the President of Kenya disagree about that, but I’m sure it was done respectfully.

CNN carried POTUS speech, I don’t know if they cut away or not. I came to the computer to listen to POTUS.

You never tire of his speeches. The message is similar but he gives each one a personal local touch. It was great to hear him touch on the themes of his early days. Hope! I wanna play Ne-Yo’s song.

Missed the first part of PBO’s historic speech in Kenya. Sent @pinkbunny response that said: “Me too!”

Just didn’t wake up early enough in the middle of the night to catch speech from the beginning. :(

BTW, this cheeky tweet cracked me up:

I don’t see NW live tweeting PBO’s Kenya’s speech, here are a few from MSM.

AnnieB. - Sorry about Acosta tweet — I share your resentment about how PBO’s state visit to Kenya is portrayed by US media. Don’t have a TV, so don’t know what is said there, but CBS radio has been appalling.

Didn’t see any tweets about a Kenyan organization #YesYouthCan, but you can add “empowering and engaging youth” as part of the Obama Doctrine of multi-national cooperation and diplomacy as the only way to progress and achieve peace.

What a great speech and a sweet, delightful introduction by Auma. I notice both Auma and Maya pronounce Barack with the accent on the first syllable, while Michelle and other Americans put the accent on the second. I like the sound of the Kenyan ‘Barack.’ I hope the President’s schedule includes some sleep because he seems to go nonstop. His energy is boundless. It’s too early in the morning for more complex thought, so hope all early birds have a good Sunday.

The First Lady said the other day when she was talking to the students about how you have to work to accomplish your goal, she said that this President works hard, he works hard.
