“We Will Not Be Afraid”

Protester

****

CEB

The rules change, the goal posts are moved, and terrorism greets anyone who excels or tries to stand up for him/herself. White society has to do this to maintain their idea of racial superiority. What excuses will the lazy, poor, and willfully ignornant- among them will have if there is true equality? The most ragged-mouth, uncouth, poorly educated, sickly pale, hump-backed on- welfare white person has to believe that his whiteness alone makes him better. It keeps him poor and ignorant and the 1% who uses them as a weapon wealthy and powerful. He who shall not be named, who assassinated 9 people who were smarter and more accomplished than he, is a perfect example of this.

Rosa Parks Obama

One of the best things that resulted from the push for integration in public places, was for A-A people to see that the mysterious, all-powerful white man, especially in the South, is a myth. We learned that many of us were smarter and more accomplished than many of them were. That we could go to ivy league schools and excel, own beautiful homes, send our children to high-performing schools, and take vacations in beautiful places here and abroad. All that so many of them have is their whiteness, which has no intrinsic value whatsoever. They are killing us because we are beautiful, brilliant, talented, and not afraid of them. We refuse to lower our eyes, to move off the sidewalk, to give up our positions, or to give them unearned respect. They cannot kill all of us and their days of terrorism are numbered. They have the cops, the media, and the power brokers, but we have right and the might of courage and determination. Barack Obama is not an anomaly; we have many like him in the A-A community. We will not be afraid, we will not be moved, we will not be denied, we will not leave the country, we will not apologize for our existence. We are American citizens and we are here to stay and to flourish.

Top GOP fundraiser calls on Sen. Mark Kirk to step down. Then takes it back.
    Comments Email Print

    GREG HINZ ON POLITICS

One of the Illinois GOP’s premiere fundraisers has called on U.S. Sen. Mark Kirk, R-Ill., to abandon his re-election race, saying it likely is unwinnable. The statement is spurring a flurry of phone calls and activity among worried Republicans.

In a development that could help determine which party will control the U.S. Senate after the 2016 elections, veteran GOP fundraiser Ron Gidwitz said in an interview today that though Kirk is “a patriot and an accomplished public servant,” he will be hobbled by a series of recent verbal gaffes that have undermined public confidence in his ability to serve.

“His misstatements put him and the Illinois Republican Party in too much of a defensive position” in what remains a predominantly Democratic state, Gidwitz told me in a phone interview. “I do not believe he will be a U.S. senator in 2017 and, as top of the ticket, he could cause collateral damage (to other Republican candidates). I call on him to step aside and allow other Republicans to seek his seat.”

After I called Kirk’s office for a response, Gidwitz called me back and said he’d like to “retract” the statement. “I’m having second thoughts.” But he confirmed that “I said it. I said it thoughtfully,” and he acknowledged he’d received “quite a number” of high-level phone calls in just an hour. “I don’t want to take the heat I’ll get.”

    ………………………

Gidwitz was remarkably candid. But what he said today only echoes what some other Republican leaders are saying in private after Kirk in recent weeks referred to Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., as “a bro’ with no ho”; said President Barack Obama wants “to get nukes to Iran”; and questioned at a Senate hearing whether a federal financial unit is acting like the Chinese intelligence service and collecting information on members of the U.S. Supreme Court.

“Kirk has always had a big mouth,” said one major party backer in Illinois who asked to remain anonymous, referring to an episode six years ago when Kirk exaggerated his service as a military intelligence officer. “But it’s gotten worse.”

Maybe I didn’t get the nuance - cause everything else he has said makes sense. In my part of the world Prosecutors could not say what he has been saying - our laws do not let anyone discuss - other than to state that person x has been arrested for murder.

Just read your blog and everything you say is so spot on. Now that I am retired I can go on cruises and take vacations and I see “that look” all the time and just ignore them. Just got back from a long weekend in DC, stayed in a 5 star hotel, there goes” that look” again. I made sure to clean up after myself so the hardworking immigrant lady wouldn’t have to work so hard and left her a good tip. We no longer cower, avert eyes or stay in our lane anymore, those days are gone.

It’s despicable. The best thing is for women to have babies that they plan to have, and are ready and able to support financially and spiritually. That is “pro-life”. These same monsters will do nothing if the baby has birth defects, and they sure as hell have no intention of providing health care or schools for those children. It’s intellectually dishonest. It’s completely twisted and cruel. And also, NOT THEIR DECISION. Women have the right to control their destiny. Who is the “nanny state” now, but RWNJ’s who want to control a woman’s body.

      Never mind. I found it.

Hillary had a chance to exhibit greatness in 2008 and instead she immediately went into the gutter. I have been trying to find ways to be enthusiastic if indeed she is the “inevitable” Democratic nominee. But this ham-handed, triangulated response about what has been proven to be edited and doctored videos, shows me that her craving for the white trash vote is more important to her than anything. Which she will never get. God.

She hasn’t sounded in engaged in the Iran deal discussion. For God’s sake, she was SoS! She’d better realize that this is not effing 1992. The world has changed.

Biden is the only candidate I could really love. Bernie has attacked PBO too much, and he is too insular and bombastic and I’m afraid unrealistic. You make deals with the devil every day of the week when you’re POTUS. I do believe he would do exactly as he says he would: he would hold his breath until he turned blue, and that would make everyone change their minds. He comes from the Ralph Nader school of American politics: in other words, he doesn’t get it all. And O’Malley can’t get traction.

Hillary is unfortunately proving to me that she is where she is by happenstance, not by any real talent. She is a mediocre person and I’m finding it harder and harder to feel good about her.

I must confess that I have not and will not be watching this video.
My mind has a tendency to store, remember and rerun these types of images 24/7.

This rash of police murders of unarmed AA citizens is the perfect illustration of the institutional racism against Black folks that has plagued this country since its founding. The predominate view among cops in this country is that Black life is worthless. They kill a Black person with all the emotion exhibited in killing a fly. This dehumanization finds its roots in chattel slavery, where the ruthless exploitation of Black slaves required the oppressor strip the oppressed of his/her humanity. While I am glad the prosecutor decided to do the right thing and find his statements welcome, we must accept that this is an anomaly, a break from the norm. The swiftness of his decision tells me that the Baltimore Prosecutor Mosby set a precedent that is being followed. Her bravery and truth telling has thankfully inspired imitation. I also think that the Baltimore rebellion (I reject the “riot” label the oppressor uses) and the fear of further Black rebellions has made “doing the right thing” a bit easier (opposed to the “always back the cop” status quo). As has always been the case, the family of the latest victim is pleading for peaceful protests. God are we a forgiving people. These families are to be commended for their collective GRACE and selflessness. I fear however that if these police murders of unarmed Black citizens continues the odds are one victim’s family will advocate a violent response which could ignite a racial powder keg in this country. With each police murder, the fuse is getting shorter and shorter.

What video is Thomas Roberts watching ?

First he says the officer ” found ” a bottle of alcohol in the vehicle and removed it. Um no, Mr DuBose handed it to him and it was not open.

Second, Roberts says Mr. DuBose ” took off ” after the officer shot him,… Um no….he was already dead and the rolled forward and hit a tree… He DID NOT ” take off “.

    Gawd the media is pathetic…..

Racism really is a mental illness. Creating a fantasy to assuage any guilt he may feel (and to assuage the guilt of his audience). The doctrine of white supremacy is the official religion of this country. It certainly is not Christianity. Roberts would be a heretic if he failed to find the Black man somehow guilty for his own murder.

      More than pathetic. Dangerous.

Because they shape some of the public’s opinion. Some people believe what they hear on the “news” because it’s the “news”. And they accept the MSM’s spin at face value.
