Sooo I have refrained from saying much about the Democrats running for President.. because mainly I’m holding onto hope for Joe Biden. Buttt I have to say that Bernie attacking POTUS and LYING that he just dumped we the people after elections day- really burns my britches. Has he never heard of OFA?? How stupid was his statement, omg? And then last night I was actually watching teevee (something I almost never do) and caught a quick snippet of Hillary speaking- and what I heard/ recall is that she said something like “We’re going to make this country great again”. So maybe I’m too sensitive- but hasn’t President Obama been doing just that? For nearly 8 years he’s worked tirelessly at actually making this country decent and more humane for all of us. Anyhoo. I don’t consider Bernie a democrat- and I only vote for democrats. I also don’t think he’d win the nomination. I’m still holding out for Joe.

I’ve got a splitting headache now. First I was over joyed with the good news and then I read Steph Pelosi’s tweet about the FY 16! I hit the ground hard. Give me an evening please.
What’s driving me nuts, besides the snipes at President Obama, is that both Sanders and Clinton have fallen into the trap of using the negative framing of the Republicans and of the media. America doesn’t have to become great “again”. America IS great already in many regards. President Obama inherited a mess and brought back America from the brink. Economic indicators are great, America is respected again (it would be better if republicans didn’t try to torpedo every diplomatic action of the administration though), the health care system has improved a lot, clean energy is growing, manufacturing is growing, and on and on…
What is needed is a POSITIVE campaign. “We’ve made lots of progress; we just need to continue”. That’s the kind of campaign that I dream a Joe Biden would make. He wouldn’t let anyone forget all the good work that has been done. He wouldn’t let anyone tarnish President Obama’s legacy.
And if Joe Biden runs, I hope he tells , over and over, the story about the Senators who admitted privately to them that there was a conscious decision from the republicans to not give any help to the President, because it was “their way back to power”. Such a cynical, immoral behavior. Their party had left the country in shambles, and just for political gain, they refused their help to the guy who had to clean their mess.
It’s been years and it still makes my blood boil.
