    Hey NW abd TOD.

I remember that night. I was so disappointed that he lost, then he gave that magnificent speech, and I saw the absolute quality and class of the man, and knew he was going to be the next president. From what I remember, rarely do Iowa and New Hampshire anoint the same person. Now on to “real” America…….the diverse country.

Perfect for tonight, thank you Nerdy!

Tonight in her concession speech, Hillary was echoing PBO’s talking points. I would say she’s Fired Up.
I think I’ll make a contribution to her campaign tomorrow.

    kasichmentum!!! yay, I win!!

Hillz is losing by 20 points and yet they both split delegates 13/13???

      February 9, 2025 at 10:15 pm

Speaking of delegates. There’s been nothing mentioned about Super Delegates. Remember that’s what got Hillary in trouble last time. She will NOT let that happen this time. Aren’t those folks staunch Dems who would never or unlikely support BS?

      • 17 COS
        February 9, 2025 at 10:17 pm

Since BS is running against the “establishment”, he probably won’t get many of those delegates.

I can never quite figure out how Bernie can get away with saying he is not part of the establishment when he has been in politics at least thirty years especially being in Congress in WA DC.

      • 19 Bill R.
        February 9, 2025 at 10:20 pm

She’s got about 350 committed super delegates.

        February 9, 2025 at 10:24 pm

Didn’t the dems change the rule after 2008 that sd’s are supposed to be neutral?

I don’t know. The whole process - primaries and GE, delegates, ev’s - they all sound redenculous to me. What a waste of every one’s time, money and efforts. Me likey limey system. 3 to 6 months in a free for all. Whoever wins the max votes, wins.

        • 24 Bill R.
          February 10, 2025 at 4:00 am

They retained the SD system with minor modifications. They can commit and Hillary already has 440 according to latest report. They kept the system so that they can fend off a hostile takeover by some extremist, in this case Bernie Sanders. However in the end she won’t need the SDs to win. As for myself, I agree the whole primary system sucks big time. It’s absurd that these all white “homelands” like IA and NH should front load the system. Too often by the time the primary gets to my state, Oregon, it’s all over.

        February 10, 2025 at 7:50 am

TN, I believe that Hillary has over 400 Super Delegates so far. Bernie has two.

    GE TODville.

Thank you NerdyW for posting this — will savor in full.

We Obama supporters were really in for a roller-coaster ride during 2008, and the NH loss was just the beginning.

    February 9, 2025 at 10:13 pm

    Some clarity on NH Dems.

I know NOTHING about NH or politics (except that they more [?] Statehouse reps/senators than CA, which is crazy), but I get the feeling that what they say is true — the South extends north through the Appalachia mountains (which are called the White Mtns in NH).

From the tweets I’ve seen tonight, the so-called “progressive” Independents cast their vote AGAINST the Black man in the WH.

          GE annieb.

Don’t follow Murray, but his twitter profile says he’s the senior political editor for NBC news — so no doubt a Chuck Todd protégé.

It’s clear that almost 100% of MSM are clueless that their POV is one of white supremacy, and would block someone on twitter for even suggesting such a (true) outrage.

        February 10, 2025 at 3:43 am

Mark Murray is spewing nonsense! President Obama was not on the ballot! President Obama won New Hampshire twice: in 2008 and 2012. The New Hampshire vote tonight was a rejection of Hillary Clinton, not President Obama. Period! End of story!

        February 9, 2025 at 10:29 pm

Republicans can also vote in NH primary. When Hillary wins what will Mark Murray have to say then. Because she will defeat Bernie. NH and Iowa does not represent America, those two states are mostly white. So Bernie won NH, big deal. Now if he takes South Carolina or Nevada, that would be a big deal.

        • 38 arapaho415
          February 9, 2025 at 10:34 pm

          You’re absolutely right, annieb.

The year-long attention that two states that are so unrepresentative of the US gets stems from the white supremacy mindset of US media.

And to see the proud NH “Independents” acting like they’re Southerners waving confederate flags is disheartening to say the least.

Can’t wait for Feb 20 (NV Dem caucus, always a hoot) and Feb 27 (SC Dem primary).

Sorry - I heard Mayor Nutter, and he really meant what he said, but I’m too tired to relate his talking points! I do remember that Van Jones came back at him. Happened on CNN earlier.

With that, guess I’d better head off to dreamland! Goodnight, TODville.

But notice they didn’t vote for HRC - who is one of the oldest…These young white Republicans and far left voters of NH respect and WANT the hierarchy of an older white male at the top. It’s no surprise that Carson performed the worst in NH.

It took 8 years of Bush disaster and a primary between a black man & a white woman to bring some sanity to the US. Now it seems too many are reverting to type. Vote for the old white men. I can understand people voting for Bernie - I cannot understand ANYONE voting for someone who approves torture and whose only policy appears to be building fences. That all the GOPers LIE 99.9% of the time seems to get past the pundit media without a word being spoken against them

This is a democracy voting to end democracy presumably because they don’t want those people to be part of their democracy, let alone running the show.

All this hoopla by the media and millions of dollars spent in this state and look at the delegate count as of this minute with 81% reporting.I’m sure this will change once all the votes have been counted but It actually has Hillary getting more delegates than Sanders right now. smh/

PBO thankfully is more than just a memory - he’s a REALITY, and will be a significant part of this country’s future well-being!! :)

No wonder all the current candidates (GP or Dem) are always trying to compare themselves to him on various levels…

      February 10, 2025 at 8:08 am

DesertFlower, I don’t believe Ezra Klein finds Il Douche amusing. Some pundits do, and that’s what he was saying. In fact, Klein is speaking of The Donald as someone very dangerous that the media have given a free pass or taken lightly. His article rings with my perception of this demagogue, an epithet Klein uses as well.
