Last week Trevor Noah said if the FBI cracked into the terrorist’s iphone that Apple wanted to know how they did it……and TN in his comedy routine said the FBI held up “one finger”…..I wonder if Apple will demand that the FBI tell them how they did it?
Didn’t see Trevor, but I kind of thought of something like that! And there’s “no way” their way would only work for ONE individual phone, in my non-tech opinion. If the latter’s the case, I can see why the FBI said “oh, no, hackers, you can’t figure it out, only we can figure it out, and only this one phone.”

I just watched it and wondered if I heard her correctly saying if Bernie does not win she will vote for Trump because he would bring a revolution. Wowser! I then thought I must have misunderstood what she said, but in the next segment about the LGBT state votes to not allow them in their bathrooms someone named Savage from Seattle was on to comment about that issue, but prefaced it with he would vote for either Bernie or Hillary, but never Trump who would not bring a revolution. So that affirms I was correct to my horror. I knew Sarandon was progressive, but I did not expect she was crazy!
So Susan Sarandon does not mind voting for a racists.
If she can’t have her way, she’s going to pound her little foot and hold her breath until she turns blue. This is a window into BS’s governing strategy of, God forbid, he was POTUS. Unbelievable.
And I assume she lives in California & full knows her vote for Trump is going nowhere. Not only stamping the foot & holding the breath but she knows full well this means nothing.

This government invasion of something so personal, so necessary is beyond belief — who really pays attention to strangers in public restrooms — these laws are lighting a fire of unnecessary confrontation for those so inclined to assault other people.

Even in a world of expanding voices, accuracy is the foundation upon which everything else is built: context, interpretation, comment, criticism, analysis and debate. The truth, over time, emerges from this forum. As citizens encounter an ever-greater flow of data, they have more need not less for identifiable sources dedicated to verifying that information and putting it in context.
2. ITS FIRST LOYALTY IS TO CITIZENS
While news organizations answer to many constituencies, including advertisers and shareholders, the journalists in those organizations must maintain allegiance to citizens and the larger public interest above any other if they are to provide the news without fear or favor. This commitment to citizens first is the basis of a news organization’s credibility; the implied covenant that tells the audience the coverage is not slanted for friends or advertisers. Commitment to citizens also means journalism should present a representative picture of all constituent groups in society. Ignoring certain citizens has the effect of disenfranchising them. The theory underlying the modern news industry has been the belief that credibility builds a broad and loyal audience, and that economic success follows in turn. In that regard, the business people in a news organization also must nurture–not exploit their allegiance to the audience ahead of other considerations.

Rachel blew the lid off of this Tad Devine not competing in certain states theory . She said it is bull pucky.
I saw Rachel’s show on this, but beyond that point even if it were true and Hillary only won because Bernie did not compete there. If that was the case (which it was not) then it shows bad judgement for both Devine and Sanders based on the importance of the Primaries. We do not want bad judgement in a Presidential candidate. Reasons alone for not voting for Sanders.

Bharara was lionized in Turkey largely because corruption suspects are deemed so “untouchable�? that any prosecutor or police who go after them may lose their jobs or jailed and any journalist covering them may face prosecution or get fired. As the news came that Zarrab’s bail for release was rejected by the court, Turkish critics breathed a sigh of relief. Finally hope loomed large in the offing. Any idea where the prosecutors and police who jailed Zarrab are now? Of course, in jail…..Zarrab’s arrest came at a time when Turkish critics almost lost their entire hope that their country could get back on track anytime soon. With the arrest, their flagging spirits were instantly revived. Attorney Bharara is the only visible figure involved with the case of Zarrab, who is also accused of violating laws designed to ensure US national security. Zarrab’s arrest has placed Bharara at the forefront of a national debate on corruption. He was deluged with a type of love messages that only fans of Justin Bieber would post…continued…Bharara assumed mythic heroism in a country accustomed to prosecutors unable to stand firm in the face of a relentless government pressure. After the arrest, Bharara tweeted that Zarrab will face the American justice in a Manhattan courtroom. For many Turks, Bharara’s message still sounds more like a hope. Zarrab’s arrest could rekindle the widespread anger at the corrupt officials and help shatter the image that he could be innocent. But one thing is certain: Attorney Bharara is already a rock star and a hero for many Turks.�?

Trump and his supporters are not interested in Bernie Sunders’ “proletariat revolution.” Only a naive privileged person would seriously suggest that the election of Donald Trump would bring about a progressive revolution.
Susan Sarandon knows that the election of Trump won’t affect her. She is a privileged movie star. For her, Revolution is an abstract game!

I haven’t seen the episode, but I gather on this night’s episode Rachel Maddow called out Sanders on a lie about how much he’s spent in states he says he didn’t compete. The people posting this were totally shocked that she was doing this.
I’ve heard her call him out before, on more than one occasion.
I don’t have cable so I don’t watch her. I’m going by comments on facebook, mostly. They were all very shocked she would do this. Other comments I’ve seen think she is completely committed to Sanders. I’m glad to hear things are a bit more balanced than that.

This is why I love and admire and respect PBO and, after watching this, I now feel very confident that HRC will take good care of and continue his legacy. This is one of those clinics like PBO gives us.
