Last week Trevor Noah said if the FBI cracked into the terrorist’s iphone that Apple wanted to know how they did it……and TN in his comedy routine said the FBI held up “one finger”…..I wonder if Apple will demand that the FBI tell them how they did it?
Didn’t see Trevor, but I kind of thought of something like that! And there’s “no way” their way would only work for ONE individual phone, in my non-tech opinion. If the latter’s the case, I can see why the FBI said “oh, no, hackers, you can’t figure it out, only we can figure it out, and only this one phone.”
I just watched it and wondered if I heard her correctly saying if Bernie does not win she will vote for Trump because he would bring a revolution. Wowser! I then thought I must have misunderstood what she said, but in the next segment about the LGBT state votes to not allow them in their bathrooms someone named Savage from Seattle was on to comment about that issue, but prefaced it with he would vote for either Bernie or Hillary, but never Trump who would not bring a revolution. So that affirms I was correct to my horror. I knew Sarandon was progressive, but I did not expect she was crazy!
If she can’t have her way, she’s going to pound her little foot and hold her breath until she turns blue. This is a window into BS’s governing strategy of, God forbid, he was POTUS. Unbelievable.
And I assume she lives in California & full knows her vote for Trump is going nowhere. Not only stamping the foot & holding the breath but she knows full well this means nothing.
Apparently, Sarandon fell down and hit her head, somewhere along the way. She’s “gone,” now, with all her “causes.” A female Michael Moore, in my book.
Since you’re on the west coast, and it’s not the middle of the night for you, did you see this?
This government invasion of something so personal, so necessary is beyond belief — who really pays attention to strangers in public restrooms — these laws are lighting a fire of unnecessary confrontation for those so inclined to assault other people.

Over time journalists have developed nine core principles to meet the task. They comprise what might be described as the theory of journalism.
1. JOURNALISM’S FIRST OBLIGATION IS TO THE TRUTH
Democracy depends on citizens having reliable, accurate facts put in a meaningful context. Journalism does not pursue truth in an absolute or philosophical sense, but it can and must pursue it in a practical sense. This “journalistic truth? is a process that begins with the professional discipline of assembling and verifying facts. Then journalists try to convey a fair and reliable account of their meaning, valid for now, subject to further investigation. Journalists should be as transparent as possible about sources and methods, so audiences can make their own assessment of the information. Even in a world of expanding voices, accuracy is the foundation upon which everything else is built: context, interpretation, comment, criticism, analysis and debate. The truth, over time, emerges from this forum. As citizens encounter an ever-greater flow of data, they have more need not less for identifiable sources dedicated to verifying that information and putting it in context.
2. ITS FIRST LOYALTY IS TO CITIZENS
While news organizations answer to many constituencies, including advertisers and shareholders, the journalists in those organizations must maintain allegiance to citizens and the larger public interest above any other if they are to provide the news without fear or favor. This commitment to citizens first is the basis of a news organization’s credibility; the implied covenant that tells the audience the coverage is not slanted for friends or advertisers. Commitment to citizens also means journalism should present a representative picture of all constituent groups in society. Ignoring certain citizens has the effect of disenfranchising them. The theory underlying the modern news industry has been the belief that credibility builds a broad and loyal audience, and that economic success follows in turn. In that regard, the business people in a news organization also must nurture–not exploit their allegiance to the audience ahead of other considerations.
That is why a “journalism” degree means nothing unless you are related someone at the Nutworks who will give you a job. They only hire pretty people who can repeat what’s written in front of them and smile for the camera, increase viewership, and revenue.
These slimy so-called journalist on cable and regular networks primarily due to the owners’ of the networks first and last principles and obligation is to the shareholders in making money and mo money…..Truth and Citizenry be damned.
I saw Rachel’s show on this, but beyond that point even if it were true and Hillary only won because Bernie did not compete there. If that was the case (which it was not) then it shows bad judgement for both Devine and Sanders based on the importance of the Primaries. We do not want bad judgement in a Presidential candidate. Reasons alone for not voting for Sanders.

“Shortly after he was released from the jail, Reza Zarrab, at the heart of Turkey’s colossal bribery scandal, said in a live TV interview that he is prepared to stand a trial before an impartial court. It seems ‘his dream’ has finally come true. He was apprehended in Miami on Saturday and an Indian-born US attorney who is handling Zarrab’s case has rocketed to fame in Turkey. Exulting in Zarrab’s arrest, Turkish social media users had a field day mocking him and hailing the attorney. Preet Bharara, US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, had only 8,010 followers before the Justice Department announced on Monday the arrest of Zarrab, a Turkish-Iranian businessman accused of evading US sanctions on Iran. The number of attorney’s followers on Twitter was skyrocketed to whopping 230,000 and it is rapidly increasing. His latest two tweets were shared nearly 60,000 times and liked by 85,000 people….Zarrab’s arrest brought into the open the dormant twin investigations that rattled Turkey for over two years. It was these two investigations that forced four ministers to resign, but also left Erdogan with no choice but to significantly escalate the crackdown on critics.

Bharara was lionized in Turkey largely because corruption suspects are deemed so “untouchable? that any prosecutor or police who go after them may lose their jobs or jailed and any journalist covering them may face prosecution or get fired. As the news came that Zarrab’s bail for release was rejected by the court, Turkish critics breathed a sigh of relief. Finally hope loomed large in the offing. Any idea where the prosecutors and police who jailed Zarrab are now? Of course, in jail…..Zarrab’s arrest came at a time when Turkish critics almost lost their entire hope that their country could get back on track anytime soon. With the arrest, their flagging spirits were instantly revived. Attorney Bharara is the only visible figure involved with the case of Zarrab, who is also accused of violating laws designed to ensure US national security. Zarrab’s arrest has placed Bharara at the forefront of a national debate on corruption. He was deluged with a type of love messages that only fans of Justin Bieber would post…continued…Bharara assumed mythic heroism in a country accustomed to prosecutors unable to stand firm in the face of a relentless government pressure. After the arrest, Bharara tweeted that Zarrab will face the American justice in a Manhattan courtroom. For many Turks, Bharara’s message still sounds more like a hope. Zarrab’s arrest could rekindle the widespread anger at the corrupt officials and help shatter the image that he could be innocent. But one thing is certain: Attorney Bharara is already a rock star and a hero for many Turks.?

When Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan last traveled to Washington, for a state visit in 2013, President Barack Obama praised him for launching peace talks with Kurdish separatists and leading his country into a new era of economic prosperity. Mr. Erdogan can expect a very different reception when he returns this week for the Nuclear Security Summit. Mr. Obama has turned down Mr. Erdogan’s request to join him for the inauguration of a Turkish-funded mosque in Maryland, and the U.S. president has no plans for a formal one-on-one meeting with his Turkish counterpart….Mr. Erdogan has alienated some allies by overseeing a crackdown on domestic critics and waging a new fight with Kurdish insurgents. The allies’ need to work with the Turkish president has tempered their public criticism. This is why I love and admire and respect PBO and, after watching this, I now feel very confident that HRC will take good care of and continue his legacy. This is one of those clinics like PBO gives us.
Whether you are an HRC supporter, a “nose holder” or an undecided, please take some time to watch this to the end (the volume is low so turn it up). If you care about protecting President Obama’s hard work and legacy, this will reassure you.
Here is the link:

J’Ob may your son’s procedure tomorrow be granted from a healing power that will rest upon his body and peace will rest upon his body. HZ
To HZ and all you other sweethearts who responded to my request for good thoughts and prayers for my son - thank you so very much for the lovely sentiments! He had a successful couple of appointments today, and his “team” will be scheduling the surgery in the upcoming weeks. He’s relieved and so am I! Thanks again - love all of you!
