Whose Precious Giant Newborn is This?

    Awesomely Luvvie — May 24, 2016

All babies are precious and beautiful and all that good stuff. Let me state that out the gate. So yesterday, I was scrolling through Facebook when I came upon the picture of a newborn who came out the womb at 15 pounds. FIFTEEN POUNDS. Look:

Jesus be a fence around this baby’s mother’s Love Pocket. May it recover, in His MIGHTY name. I IMMEJATELY started doing kegels upon seeing the picture because I got stressed by proxy. Goodness. I mean.

Yes, she will, Pf, and it will be before the polls in California even close. California delegates will be the icing on the cake and the final primary in DC will be the cherry on top. Umm..I think I just mixed cake topping with ice cream. But who cares–it’s all good.

    • May 24, 2016 at 2:11 pm

She only needs 78 delegates 57 🙂 …. but of course, as we all know, it was over for #thebern on “Super Tuesday” …. math is math … a lesson many on the left and right clearly failed ….. back to work ….

Me too! I’m especially happy for Sasha that she gets to finish out high school at her current school. As someone who went to 14 different schools between grades 1-12, it means a lot when you can stay at a school you like, where you have friends and feel a sense of community.

Yikes, Dudette! My parents moved 14 times during my school years, but I somehow managed to keep the school count down to 8 schools attended because I was adamant about not changing high schools, even if that meant a long commute on public transit across Toronto in a couple of cases. I survived, but I don’t really wish it on anybody.

Yeh, Dad retired from the Army while I was in 11th grade, so only two high schools. Sis was lucky and went to same school 10-12th grades. My brother went to 1 elementary school, 1 middle school and 1 high school. Now that’s kinda boring. 😄

I love that area. I worked on Columbia Road for a few months after I graduated from college. Worked with an early computer……punch cards! Also, there was a famous coffee house at 16th and Columbia…..considered quite subversive in early 1962! That will be a great place for them. I think we will need to take a tour to the area in June…..????

How many Black children were raised by Big Mama and Granddaddy, that don’t turn out to be self-hating sociopaths?
From all accounts, the grandfather was a hard working man who had his own small business.
Spare me about Mama not being around.

I am glad to say that I NEVER supported him.

From the moment I read the account of him going up in front of a group of his White paymasters and deriding his sister for being on welfare, all the while knowing WHY she had to go on welfare…

    I KNEW who he was.

Nothing else that he has done has altered my belief in the lack of his character.

‘Kris Jenner U’ Scrubs Its Social Media After Daily Beast Expose
    05.23.16 11:35 PM ET

Hours after The Daily Beast published claims by New York state that Jenner’s B-school is the same entity as a shady European diploma mill, Legacy Business School had scrubbed its social feeds.

Kris Jenner’s new business school, Legacy Business School, began scrubbing content from its social media pages on Monday, hours after The Daily Beast reported claims by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) that the organization is the rebranded European School of Economics, which had been operating a campus in New York State illegally for years.

The Kardashian mom is the new chairwoman and face of the school, which is based in Trump Tower and costs up to $105,360 per year for a non-degree certificate. Legacy Business School’s Facebook and Instagram pages had been deleted and marked as private respectively on Monday afternoon.

Campaign manager: Trump ‘proud’ to pay ‘lowest tax rate possible’
    20 min ago

Corey Lewandowski, campaign manager for presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, told CBS News today that the real estate tycoon pays “the lowest possible” amount in federal income taxes, saying that it highlights his business acumen.

“Mr. Trump is proud to pay a lower tax rate, the lowest tax rate possible,” Lewandowski said. “He is going to pay the smallest amount of taxes possible, which I think the American people also understand. Every deduction possible. He fights for every single dollar.”

“That’s the mindset you want to bring to the government.”

Dem mocks Trump’s ‘short fingers’ on House floor
    May 24, 2016, 01:23 pm

A House Democrat worked in a taunt about the size of Donald Trump’s hands while blasting the presumptive GOP nominee for saying he’d take advantage of the housing market crash.

In a House floor speech on Tuesday, Rep. Dina Titus (D-Nev.) called on the real estate mogul to apologize for comments made in 2007 counseling Trump University students to use the housing bubble as an investment opportunity.

“He rooted for that bubble to burst. Well, the crash in the housing market devastated my hometown of Las Vegas, which was one of the hardest hit in the country,” Titus said, noting that thousands of people in her district lost their homes as a result of the housing bubble’s burst.
    […]
Titus concluded her remarks by taking aim at a sore topic for Trump.
“We say to Mr. Trump: Keep your short fingers out of the Nevada housing market,” she said.

Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Ill.), who was presiding over House floor proceedings, admonished Titus afterward for personally criticizing Trump.
“The chair would remind members to refrain from engaging in personalities toward presumptive nominees for the office of president,” Davis said.

A significant group of shareholders are seeking to force Exxon Mobil to acknowledge the growing threat from climate change at the company’s AGM on Wednesday.

These investors want the world’s biggest publicly traded oil company to support the goal of a 2C global temperature limit.

Exxon Mobil is also being investigated for potential fraud by withholding information on the role of fossil fuels in driving up temperatures.

The company says that the shareholder resolutions are unnecessary, while the investigations by several states are “politically motivated.”

    /

One motion asks the company to support the goal of limiting warming to below 2 degrees in line with the Paris climate agreement. Another asks Exxon to disclose how resilient its investments would be if policy measures to restrict warming to 2 degrees were implemented.

This motion has a number of supporters including the Norwegian government’s pension fund, the world’s largest.

It’s being co-sponsored by the Church Commissioners, who manage the Church of England’s investment fund.

    /

The shareholders’ hopes of success have been boosted by a number of factors, including a growing number of institutional investors Schroders, AXA and Legal and General which have supported the proposal. They are also backed by the largest pension fund in the US, CalPERS.

The world’s leading advisers to proxy voters, ISS and Glass Lewis, have also come out in favour of the resolution on climate risk disclosure. A group of 1,000 academics from leading institutions have written to support the resolutions.

This is The Hill, but still:

    Dems discuss dropping Wasserman Schultz

Democrats on Capitol Hill are discussing whether Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz should step down as Democratic National Committee (DNC) chairwoman before the party’s national convention in July.

Democrats backing likely presidential nominee Hillary Clinton worry Wasserman Schultz has become too divisive a figure to unify the party in 2016, which they say is crucial to defeating presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump in November.

Wasserman Schultz has had an increasingly acrimonious relationship with the party’s other presidential candidate, Bernie Sanders, and his supporters, who argue she has tilted the scales in Clinton’s favor.
“There have been a lot of meetings over the past 48 hours about what color plate do we deliver Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s head on,” said one pro-Clinton Democratic senator.
