âItâs fraud. ⌠straight-up fraud,â the stateâs Democratic Attorney General Eric Schneiderman reiterated during an MSNBC interview last week after a judge unsealed court documents from one of the Trump U. lawsuits and allowed for a more detailed look into the allegations of deceit.
The strange part? Some key conservative voices agree with the Democratâs legal assessment. Thatâs why back in February, a National Review writer denounced the Trump seminars as âa massive scam.â And last month, The Weekly Standard warned that Trump U. represented a âpolitical time bombâ that could doom the candidateâs November chances: âDemocrats will see to that.â (Both magazines have opposed Trump for months and have pointed to Trump U. as a reason for their opposition.)
Thatâs whatâs so startling about watching the conservative media this campaign season: Itâs been completely knocked off its game. Known for its regimented messaging and willingness to almost robotically defend any Republican front-runner and nominee, Trump is finding only a smattering of defenders when it comes to damning allegations about his scam seminars.
Weâve been in our new place about a week now (nowhere near totally settled in however), but we made sure to vote early. Will be getting registered here as soon as possible.
Wishing everyone a fabulous day. Would someone please update me one Chips and her mom? Sending special thoughts and prayers their way.
An elderly AA man, one white middle aged woman and one young Asian woman volunteered their time so I could vote right around the corner from where I live today. Please thank your poll workers!!
Three of the sweetest people at my polling place. I thanked them profusely for their service. Please be kind to them today. #VoteDEM2016
Some of the hard-core Sandernistas Iâve read have claimed theyâre beyond what Bernie says. Itâs not about HIM, itâs about the MOVEMENT. I think itâs a lazy excuse to blame everyone for not making them get off their a$$es and vote.

Hello TOD.
Sunny with Lovely Breeze in MN.
Congrats, to all the Goldâ winners, starting with this Post.
Thank you, NW for the Great work you have done.
Hello, Chips. I am seeding my Warmest Wishes to You, Your Mom & Danny.
OMG! Thatâs horrific! But look at her dedication to the role and attention to detail: that god-awful white around the eyes from the tanning salon protective glasses, the giant turtle belly. Her hair looks better than DTâs though….
Yeah, jazziz2, I didnât know about that either, Iâve never been to a tanning salon in my life. I also figured it was too much cover-up make up. A friend of mine clued me in. People who ski or snowboard get those white raccoon eyes, too, but DT doesnât look like he exercises, and heâs orange, so pretty sure itâs from fake-tanning.
Reminds me of Susan Rice and how Repubs pushed “Benghazi!” and forced her to withdraw consideration for SoS and then PBO made her National Security Advisor
Hard to choose only one, but this POS ranks right up there, for me, as the most wretched excuse for a human being on the planet. I want karma to find him and make him question himself…
As well as Cottonâs disgusting self….thereâs also this:
” This story also sheds some light on Republican obstruction to President Obamaâs nomination of Judge Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court. The question becomes: to what extent are they playing games that are designed to inflict special pain on the president? I am reminded of something Sen. Lindsay Graham said back in 2013, âAnytime you challenge the president, Obama, itâs good politics.â In other words, âwe donât give a damn what it means for the country or the nominee if it works for us politically.â Thatâs the Republican Party weâve been dealing with for almost eight years now.”
The end of any control that Republicans have, can not come soon enough. I want them to be irrelevant.
Youâre right about putting Tom Cotton up there in the ranks of the most despicable, but itâs a crowded platform. That there are millions of Americans who think this racist, sadistic, unpatriotic behavior is okay is what truly depresses me. We have to win back the Senate and marginalize these creatures.
That was back in his OLA (office if Legislative Affairs) days. The only party of the job that I hated was accompanying congressional spouses on the CODELs…
How long ago was that? đ VP Joe can laugh, but I do believe this small-minded man is likely speaking nothing more than the truth when he says he still resent that little service.
Honestly, I cannot think of one thing McCain has said or done that would create a glimmer of respect in the mind of any sensible person! (And donât tell me that when he was campaigning he stopped a supporter from disparaging Sen. Obama. IMO, he only did *that* after prompting from the media.)
Iâm embarrassed to say that I supported him in the 2000 primary. That was the only year that I did not do my normal vetting matrix. Needless to say, in 2008, I was surprised AND disappointed to find his record on veterans issues was abysmal!
Well, you got his number the 2nd time around. ‘ Better late than never.â In 2008 I was appalled to stumble upon a video clip of a hearing where he was yelling and screaming at family members of veterans. Honestly, just the sight of him ranting is enough to turn my stomach. I havenât ever seen his ‘mavorickyâ side in all the years since heâs come to my attention. I wish heâd go away. I so hope his opponent wins this year!
Bullet proof underwear, baby strollers…pink and blue baby guns…
Weâre capitulating to the tiny blood-sucking, money-grubbing, zero-accountability gun manufacturers and teeny nra faction.
Instead of doing what other nations have done - who today record next to No gun deaths.
Letâs STOP normalizing the crazies and existential threats to American democracy — like Trump.
Letâs STOP normalizing guns.
We just got back from voting in the Iowa Democratic primary. I voted for Patty Judge for Senate, even though Iâve been reading some less than satisfactory things about her recently. The DSM Register endorsed the other guy, but I know sheâd have a better chance against that idiot Grassley. I hope the pace picks up - we were only #51 and #52 and itâs almost 5PM. Onward to November!
The polling place wasnât crazy busy, but I had to wait in a line of about six people to vote. As I was walking in, I couldnât help looking around and profiling my fellow voters a bit, trying to guess who was BS and who was HRC. I know I shouldnât judge books by their cover, as Iâve been proven wrong in my assumptions before. I once had a surprising conversation with a middle-aged white guy who looked like an undercover cop who turned out to be as much of an Obot as any TODer. A black woman that I know will probably end up voting Trump, so you never know.
Anyway, as I was punching my card in the voting booth, I heard a booming voice behind me tell the poll worker, âIâm a No Party Preference but I want to vote with a Democratic ballot.â I turned around and he was straight out of central casting: a big, loud, thirty-something white guy with a neck-beard and cargo shorts. Pretty sure he was going to vote for BS, but I suppose itâs always possible that he ran out of the polling place after voting, raising his hands in the air and yelling, âHill, yes!â
WOW..what an honor to witness this meeting of two greats…Mr. Townsend doesnât look a day over 70.
Hey HF! Congrats on First! đ
Thanks Lady D!
Notice how agile and alert and sweet this gentleman is. Astonishing.
Indeed.
That photo doesnât just look like a campaign poster, it could be a preview of some superhero/heroine action movie or something!
LOVE IT.

Read the comments! đ
Sorry I meant just the first comment.
Oh well, I couldnât resist!

if Sanders endorses Clinton….things might be different

And…the Sanders attack dogs are the emos who whined about and never liked PBO from the start. They love Cornel West. That says it all right there.
Fuck âem. Just PUMAs Jr. They donât vote anyway. We got this!

LOL!

Oh, so thatâs why thereâs white around the eyes! I thought he just had a bad makeup artist…
He IS a bad make up artist personified

Hope so.

Progress ….

Good news in Afghanistan and in Iran. Rouhani is really stepping up to the plate.
Just words…it all means nothing when they all still support him. Screw them all.
How long till DT surrogates call him a racist?
Chris Christie (yuck) told reporters today that heâs known The Donald for 14 years, and heâs not racist.
Thick as thieves. One lies and the other swears to it. Make them go away.
Itâs like they all inbreed. Honestly, I need it to stop. They have no moral scruples or integrity.
And every third person we run into is just like them, only some are “hiding” it. Canât take it much more, either.
Seriously.
Aptly said, Df.
Yay! đ

Good afternoon, TOD!
George Carlin on Muhammad Aliâs opposition to Vietnam, ending with Carlinâs version of “America The Beautiful.”⤠I miss his voice…

I saw that clip; it was absolutely disgusting. The only veteran he has supported id he, himself!
This makes me wanna cry! Look what the damn Republicans have done to our country.
This is so sad. Are they going to do bullet proof student clothing next? After all, many of these shootings have been ‘frontalâ.
Exactly. Ugh!
