This speech was her best one yet!
I finally watched it, on Rachel’s show (she played it without interruption). Yes.We.Can.
It was absolutely phenomenal, Judith. Everyone in the audience was mesmerized by her and you would have to have been made of stone not to react emotionally to what she said. She is such a powerful orator!! What a gift she has been to this nation.
I cried and cried and rejoiced when she said “enough”…. What an incredible speech. She made me think of the prophets of the old testament who spoke the truth when it wasn’t popular or risky.

To say that First Lady gave an excellent and inspiring speech doesn’t do it justice. This was a prophetic speech, in the truest sense that “prophetic” means speaking moral truth to an entire nation and world about the meaning of humanity. She crystallized the issue in this campaign, and that is the absolute imperative that together we defeat the utter malignant evil of Trump and Trumpism and his insatiable desire to dominate and demean every human being within his power, starting with women, and extending outward to all those he hates, immigrants, people of color, Muslims, and anyone who resists his ambition. Michelle Obama exercised moral leadership today through the power of her presence and the truth she speaks.

have watched so many campaign speeches, and this one will go down in history as one of the best. What grabs me most was the intense listening of the crowd. You could hear a pin drop as everyone was hanging on each word that came out of her mouth. I really do not know what to say anymore as everyone has said it…Michelle Obama is (not one of but IS) the best First Lady of these USA.

First Lady Michelle Obama is (in my lifetime, anyway) the greatest first lady of all.
That speech was so moving, so inspiring. She made us, let us, feel it all. This great Lady presented the ugliness of DT and his words, and his deplorables, unvarnished, for all to look at squarely…and she did this without ever repeating even one of his foul words, without ever saying his name.
Michelle the great, the awesome, the intelligent, the super-everything: she let me know, as if it were just us girls in the room, that She Knows! She knows what it’s like to suffer through, be silent and struggle on. To me she seems perfect; no way could she have had THOSE experiences. I feel this because, deep inside, though I wish it were not so, as strong as I think I am, there is still a part of me that has turned the blame inward when THOSE things have happened. But if she knows, if she has lived that, then maybe I’m not less than, maybe it wasn’t my fault. Maybe I can find the strength to go high, in spite of all the times others have gone low.
This was not just any election speech. Michelle the great, the awesome, the intelligent, the super-everything, reached her hand through the TV screen and into my heart to inject me with her courage, to lift me up with her strength…
And now I feel like some of it is mine.

Republican nominee Donald Trump claims he gave generously to help his city in the dark days after the deadly terrorist attacks. But new records show a pledged promise to donate $10,000 to a major 9/11 charity must have somehow slipped his mind.
City Controller Scott Stringer conducted a review of hundreds of pages of previously sealed records of the two main 9/11 charities at the request of the Daily News, and found that Trump and his charity hadn’t donated a dime in the months after 9/11.

But the letter only took issue with the part of the story in which Stoynoff says she ran into Melania Trump on 5th Avenue outside of Trump Tower, following the incident.
“That winter, I actually bumped into Melania on Fifth Avenue, in front of Trump Tower as she walked into the building, carrying baby Barron,” Stoynoff said in her report. “Natasha, why don’t we see you anymore?” she quotes Trump as saying.
In the letter to People, Trump lawyer Charles Harder writes, “Mrs. Trump did not encounter Ms. Stoynoff on the street, nor have any conversation with her. The two are not friends and were never friends or even friendly.”
