    The Fix Analysis
The prevailing view of Trump has only worsened: He’s ‘unpresidential’
By Aaron Blake July 17 at 10:40 AM

During the 2016 campaign, the biggest concern about President Trump almost always boiled down to one thing: his temperament. Even people who liked Trump had a problem with it. Polls regularly showed that more than 6 in 10 registered voters said he didn’t have the right personality and style to be an effective president. Just weeks before the election, 62 percent said he didn’t have this baseline quality, according to a Washington Post/ABC News poll. He won anyway.

Trump has now been president for six months, and he’s had ample opportunity during that time to prove people wrong. He’s taken foreign trips, responded to crises and delivered a well-received speech to Congress.

And yet, Americans may now see him as even less presidential than they did before. A new Post-ABC poll shows a whopping 70 percent of Americans describe Trump as acting “unpresidential.” Only 24 percent say he’s acted in a way that’s “fitting and proper for a president of the United States.”

    From MaddowBlog:

Please stop doing this: “Nearly 3,400 Coloradans canceled their voter registrations in the wake of the Trump administration’s request for voter info, the Secretary of State’s Office confirmed Thursday, providing the first statewide glimpse at the extent of the withdrawals.”

EVERY TIME a GOP legislator has a medical issue, the Dems need to remind the public of this whenever and however they can.

Imagine the cost of Rep. Scalise’s treatment to Joe Average Voter.

Or that jerk Chaffetz’s foot surgery.

Mission accomplished: “Donald Trump’s campaign against ISIS results in nearly as many civilian deaths as during Obama’s entire Administration”:
    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/donald-trump-syria-death-toll-campaign-military-operations-barack-obama-administration-a7844526.html
–As of July 13th more than 2,200 civilians had been killed by the US-led international coalition against ISIS.
–Factor in KOCH/McConnell Care and the invading GOP Alien party will have exterminated a decent quota of humans in 2017.

We have a party in power which does not have any ethical moorings. They’ll do anything to get their agenda passed including supporting a President who is a puppet of a foreign enemy.

From war orphan in Sierra Leone to a soloist with the Dutch National Ballet, Michaela DePrince has beaten extraordinary odds to succeed in the cut-throat world of ballet.

      Beautiful!

    • July 17, 2017 at 5:26 pm

IMO Michaela’s story is not just outrageously unusual. What makes the top of the top special in Ballet is that X factor of no major or prohibitive injuries — a rare physical body type as well as extraordinary world class talent. Yes my daughter had super-grace and very
rare ability. What she didn’t have was that that teeny tiny sliver of super-genetics that ultimately protects the career dancer from irreversible injury. Ms.DePrince like Ms.Copeland, is so stunningly rare.

Sorry to sound angry but I don’t get how so many people voted for Republicans and now are outraged that Republicans are going to do exactly what they promised to do which is repeal the ACA. I wish people would take their right to vote more seriously and stop voting for people who hate your guts and only care about the rich and well-to-do. We could have at least flipped the Senate so that the Democrats could stop Trump from doing anything stupid.

    Huge sigh of frustration.

Not so dirty secret. They used this as a tool to make PBO a 1 term POTUS, then used their color bar for 8 yrs, no Damn plan, but “No to the Black POTUS”. And their appeal to the dredges isn’t going to keep his (& his ilk) in office, unless they once again steal, hack votes. Governors have to step up, in each state, & all local levels, to protect voting.

  65. July 17, 2017 at 9:11 pm

  66. July 17, 2017 at 9:15 pm

One constituent who spoke out was Bob Cox, Moran’s daughters’ pediatrician, who joked that he knew the senator’s daughters before he met Moran.

“The federal government is charged with the protection of its citizens from external threat,” Cox said. “The U.S. military provides this service, and it’s funded appropriately. We as a culture have not accepted the responsibility to protect citizens from internal threat, disease and injury.”

Cox noted that taxes might increase to protect against internal threats of disease, but the benefits would outweigh the costs.

In response, Moran focused on the problems with Obamacare, or the Affordable Care Act (ACA), saying Congress needs to address the underlying causes of rising health care costs.

He told Cox he would support an ACA replacement on four conditions: If it’s affordable and protects people with pre-existing conditions, if it protects rural health care, if Kansas isn’t disadvantaged for not expanding Medicaid, and if the expense of the plan doesn’t inhibit job creation, according to Topeka Capital-Journal reporter Allison Kite.
