Hollywood Life: It’s the call NO mom ever expects to get from her kids - and one mom in particular will be kicking herself that she missed the whole thing!
It all takes place in a mysterious video that has popped up on YouTube, become an instant hit and is sure to make the lucky children the envy of ALL their classmates!
In the video, the kids, who are twins, clamber into the car, and then President Obama pops into view, hands them a phone and asks them who they want to call.
The boy chooses his mom, but when she doesn’t pick up, Obama encourages him to leave a message. He says “Hi mom, I’m in the President’s car, it’s sure cool,” before the President grabs the phone back, says “ok, bye” and hangs up.
All we know is it took place in Fairfax, Virginia in 2010, and that the two lucky ‘presidential aides’ are twins. The video, titled “Mom, Pick Up!!!!! ….. President Obama,” has been seen by almost half-a-million people since it was uploaded in June by someone called TheObamaDiary!
Can you imagine getting that message, HollyMoms? Would you ever erase it?!

I had to share this one with you, it’s cracking me up.
A fruitloop on YouTube was trying to post comments under the ‘baby’ video yesterday that even a Teabagger might have found offensive, so I trashed them all.
This made the guy very, very, very angry. So, he’s posted his own version of the video with this description: “A propaganda video of a crying baby who was already stopping to cry as she’s passed to Obama in order to make it seem as if he made her stop crying.”

He describes himself as “a proud Spiritual Satanist” on his YouTube channel. Just sayin’. So far his “propaganda” video has been viewed 12 times. He’s catching up, then.

Remember yesterday’s posts by Steve Benen and James Fallows on how Al Gore’s Rolling Stone essay on climate change was being misrepresented by the media as an ‘Obama is a failure!’ attack by Gore? Yes, he criticized the President on some fronts, but also praised him on several others.
Gore himself wrote: “Even writing an article like this one carries risks; opponents of the president will excerpt the criticism and strip it of context.”
Fallows: “….. of course the immediate press presentation on the essays has been all “OMG Gore attacks Obama!”
Benen: “…..After writing several thousand words on the crisis itself, Gore actually praised President Obama, lauding the fact that the White House “included significant climate-friendly initiatives in the economic stimulus package he presented to Congress during his first month in office….. ” (more here)
Fallows: “The reaction to Gore’s essay illustrates the pattern: from his point of view, it’s one more (earnest) attempt to say ‘Hey, listen up about this problem!’ As conveyed by the press, it’s one more skirmish on the ‘liberals don’t like Obama’ front, and one more illustration of the eyes-glazing-over trivia and details about melting icebergs and scientific disputes.”
So, you gotta love the title of the video posted on YouTube by darling of the Professional Left, Cenk Uygur (you know, the guy who was a Republican right-winger until a few years ago).
