President Barack Obama returns to the White House from the Los Cabos G-20 Summit, June 20
****
Sensible people, of course, ignore polls at this point ….. so, I’m sure most of the media will ignore this one:
Bloomberg: Barack Obama has opened a significant lead over Mitt Romney in a Bloomberg National Poll … Obama leads Romney 53% to 40% among likely voters …
The survey shows Romney has yet to repair the damage done to his image during the Republican primary. Thirty-nine percent of Americans view him favorably, about the same as when he announced his presidential candidacy last June, while 48% see him unfavorably - a 17% point jump during a nomination fight dominated by attacks ads. A majority of likely voters, 55%, view him as more out of touch with average Americans compared with 36% who say the president is more out of touch….
……. Beyond Romney’s low favorability ratings, the poll reflects perceived weaknesses for the Republican challenger both in style and substance. Only 31 percent of likely voters say they’d want to sit next to Romney on a long airplane flight, compared with 57 percent who prefer Obama as a seat mate.

Washington Post: The seven Bain Capital founders believed they were so destined to make millions that the young men posed for a photo on the grand marble staircase of Boston’s Copley Place with $10 and $20 bills popping out of their shirt collars, tucked behind their eyeglasses and clutched in their teeth.
… At the 1984 photo shoot, Romney and his partners were celebrating not only their new company but also the ethos of their era …. years later, as Romney pursued the presidency, the photo surfaced on the front page of the Boston Globe, part of the newspaper’s 2007 biographical series about Romney…
“I was stunned when I saw it,” said Graham, who was not in the picture. “I was upset. I thought it was tacky. I thought it was inappropriate. They must’ve done it in a moment of giddiness.”
…. Robert Shrum, a longtime Democratic strategist … called it “an iconic image of what could be perceived of greed or a total focus only on the bottom line and making a buck. That’s why it’s so powerful. It’s iconic.”
… The founders came to Bain from different backgrounds, yet they were a homogenous group. Each was white and male, and by 1994, a decade after the company started, there were still no black or Hispanic employees among the 40 professionals and eight support staff members, the Boston Globe reported at the time.

Washington Post: Republicans’ emerging problem with Latino voters looks even worse when you factor in the electoral college.
A look at Latino population trends in swing and key red states shows just how ominous the GOP’s future could be if it doesn’t do something about its current struggles with Latino voters.
We noted yesterday that nationwide population and minority voting trends paint a haunting picture for the GOP. But the problem is particularly acute because of the states where Latino growth has been strongest — particularly several key swing states and red states that Democrats are hoping to put in play in the coming elections…..

Washington Post: The tax reform plan that House Republicans have advanced would sharply cut taxes for the wealthiest Americans and could leave middle-class households facing much larger tax bills, according to a new analysis set to be released Wednesday.
The report, prepared by Senate Democrats and reviewed by nonpartisan tax experts, marks the first attempt to quantify the trade-offs inherent in the GOP tax package, which would replace the current tax structure with two brackets — 25 percent and 10 percent — and cut the top rate from 35 percent.
…. The net result: Married couples in that income range would pay an additional $2,700 annually to the Internal Revenue Service, on top of the tax increases that are scheduled to hit every American household when the George W. Bush-era cuts expire at the end of the year.
Households earning more than $1 million a year, meanwhile, could see a net tax cut of about $300,000 annually.

Morning everyone

Good Morning Chipsticks and TOD
Morning NZ, morning everyone.
Thanks Chipsticks! Very handsome in every picture!! (p.s - I sent you an email yesterday about some recommendations). I look forward to your response when you’ve got a moment. Cheers!
Oh, NZ, I can’t see it in my inbox! Did you send it to [email protected]?
Oh crap! Maybe I typed the email addy incorrectly. It is probably my fault, I touch type at 70 wpm and probably missed out a letter or something before firing it off to you LOL
I will check it again.. apologies
Got it NZ! Will get back to you asap, but you should post your query here too, everyone will be glad to help!
Thanks for the suggestion Chipsticks, it’s kind of in part as to why I am so confused about where to visit lol so I’m happy to wait for your email instead. #n00b alert
Hey
Where’s everybody?
GM Carol
Not sure, I thought people would be around already. It’s just after midnight, so Thursday morning here in my country and I couldn’t sleep, so I came here to get my President Obama fix, and no one in sight.
God Morning . . . are you from New Zealand? My daughter is there now on a study abroad. . . having an amazing time!
Good Morning. . . not God! Sorry and I like your tag!
GM to you too!! Where is she in New Zealand? I live in Auckland
It’s winter time here, so I hope she is warm hehe
She was in Auckland, Wellington . . . met Mourie (sp) tribe, climbed Tonlonga mountain (please forgive all the spelling). They are all returning tomorrow and was there for a month. Now she wants to live there!
Oh yes, it’s the native Maori tribe groups that your daughter would have met and Mount Tongariro may be the mountain she climbed, its the only one that comes close to the spelling/sounding out of the name that you wrote above hehe. By the way, some folks have lived here all their lives like me, but they still don’t spell the native words that well themselves! So you would be more forgiven as someone who lives overseas trying to correctly spell the words unknown to you, than those who were born here and grow up around it
I hope your daughter returns to you safely and in good health, as it has been raining here in Auckland quite heavily these past few days.
Good morning.
Nobody would want to sit next to Romney on a long flight. Can you imagine? He’d be all like, “the clouds are just the right height.” Ugh.
LOL you must be watching Morning Joe.
Not me, no ma’am. I don’t watch cable news filth.
GM Collegekay, the article above reminds me of the one several months ago ( http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/11/06/in-flight-romney-is-aloof-with-fellow-passengers/ ) and the exchange with a couple of travelers on the flight when something like this:
“He looked at me blankly and said, ‘I understand,’ then put his iPad headphones in and kept reading,” she said.
While Ms. McClanahan said Mr. Romney was probably exhausted, she was disappointed he showed so little interest. Even another passenger’s request for a restaurant recommendation in Boston elicited little from Mr. Romney, she said. “I can’t give you any,” he said, according to Ms. McClanahan. “You’ll have to ask someone else.”
I wouldn’t want to sit next to him either!
went** (had to correct myself quickly, I was policed for spelling on here before by another member)
He’s such the complete opposite of PBO.
Romney is not that known here in New Zealand. He is rarely mentioned here on our television news cycle lol Last time, if I can recall correctly, that he was on our news… was when he became the Republican nominee lol I know many people here who rock a President Obama t-shirt since 2008′s presidential election, you will never see one for Romney in this country that is for sure!
That is like the worst case of claustrophopia imaginable….
Good morning all.
Morning Chips and everyone…..Ha! That’s what I was curious about…..how the MJ crew is spinning this?…..haha the clouds are just the right height……
Al hunt wrote an article- Obama needs an intervention?
Me thinks, Al Hunt better lay off the Stimulants!
This is my very Favorite comment on the poll:
Romney would do worse. “His perspective is you just let the free market take care of everything, and we’ll go right down the toilet drain, and everything — all the jobs — will go straight to Asia,” Sunde says of Romney.
I think people have had it with “free market” & “freedom” shit from the GOP & Rombot is always saying that crap. Just funny comment though!
But but but Andrea Mitchel just said the Bus Tour was highly successful and it Himanized Robney so maybe the Bus Tour…
That was the media push from yesterday. They were all trying to make Willard the best campaigner of all time—-all warm and fuzzy like a beloved teddy bear—-never mind Willard on tape saying excruciatingly dumb things and fake laughing.
Andrea needs to straighten up and fly right—-people were laughing at her and her fellow pundits trying to sell snake oil to viewers who believe their eyes and ears.
They are only reading emails on their blackberry! That is their top reporting?
Especially comical when the dominant news stories were about the way Romney had to dodge protesters in PA. Could these media types be more obvious?
The Bain Capital article also neglects to mention that there was a conscious effort to prioritize hiring Mormons only…
Hi Chi, the article also pretty much ignored the impact of Bain on workers of companies it closed down - but still, I liked the focus on that repulsive photo.
Good morning TODville and Chips
I don’t see how anyone would want to sit next to Willard. Well, maybe Rubio so he could smooch Romney. HAHA
Everyone have a nice day.
I just went to talking points memo, I thought I went to Drudge by mistake.
Good grief!
Greece just formed a Government!

The FED meeting today! Let’s hope for some stimulus!
We need demand created by spending, as PBO is trying to do with the jobs and transportation bills. More stimulus by the Fed is like pushing on a string. It gives more cheap money to the banks to play the markets but does little to create demand. The ten year Treasury is at 1.60%. Lower rates from this point can mean little for the middle class.
The only stimulus the Fed seems to offer is to the banks - who hoard it. I’m not sure what any of these Fed stimuli have done for any normal people.
I see Ezra Klein is real mad about the Bloomburg poll. It has thrown him off course, doesn’t fit with his “Obama is doomed” narrative he’s been pushing lately. It has completely wrecked his day.
Apparently this is one of the best pollsters. It’s full panic this morning in the media lol
OK, here is Darrell Issa’s rap sheet:

Let’s get this moving, TODers!
They’ve got car thief investigating the Fast and Furious program. What a joke.
Just tweeted it!
Good Morning TOD family. I am off this morning so I can hang around just a bit. I spoke to a young man yesterday at work. He is a Ron Paul Supporter. He said that Romney and PBO were the same. I asked him why he thought that and he couldn’t explain. I asked what the President has done and he could not explain that either. I asked why he liked Paul. He gave me the “troops home now and pot” meme. I asked him with congress that we have, do you think Paul could get anything done. “Blank Stare”! I asked if he had a mother, sister, niece, girlfriend or Aunt? He said he did. I asked him to check out the state laws and congressional laws against women. I reminded him that 3 SCOTUS appointments were up in the next 4 to 6 years. He got a really scared look on this face at that point. I gave him a short list of what the President had done…not the full list..I would have been there all night.
We now have a new Obama supporter!
BOOM! Great Job…Armed with facts, the Obama supporters are unstoppable.
Proud . . . one voter at a time. Your are doing a marvelous job and I always look forward to your comments as I know you work so hard for this president. Thank G-d you are on our side!
This is how we win them, one at a time.
Go Proud!!!!!!! Awesome work!
Thank you for scratching the surface and letting this young man know the truth. Ron Paul supporters and the PL are the most uninformed voters I’ve ever come across. They’re not really into politics, just like to be ANTI-
I also got my poll worker assignment for the Primary in August in FL. I moved from Broward County to Palm Beach County and had to reapply. I went to orientation and they “PICKED” me. One scary aspect of this….I had to put down the party I am registered with. They said it was to keep it “even” at the polls. When in Broward we pledged to be NON POLITICAL….I don’t understand how Palm Beach works. I will soon find out!
Yikes.
*Applause* Great job!
The choice will become clearer and clearer all the way to November. Major kudos to you for doing your part!
Excellent!
Probably the reason no one would sit beside
Willard is because he is less than fresh.
He does look kinda stale and crusty.
the Bloomberg poll:
53-40?
hee hee hee
how did they spin it on Morning Murderer?
Al Hunt said Obama needs an intervention!
Ahhhhhhh………..Who?
Bloomberg dude!
Good Morning Rikyrah, it is good news for McCain/Romney. Now we know why they were so upset with the MSNBC “edit” of the Wawa tape. Have a great day everyone.

GOP Senators send letter to Obama challenging immigration directive
By Jonathan Easley - 06/19/12 07:14 PM ET
A group of 20 Republican senators led by Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) sent a letter to President Obama late Tuesday questioning the legality of his recent directive to stop deporting illegal immigrants who come to the country at a young age.
“Not only do we question your legal authority to unilaterally act in this regard, we are frustrated that you have intentionally bypassed Congress and the American people,” the letter read in part. “As president you swore to uphold and defend the constitution and enforce laws. Your recently announced directive runs counter to that responsibility.”
The letter requests documents from President Obama proving that he sought legal counsel to ensure that he had the right to issue the immigration directive.
Obama announced on Friday that his administration would stop deporting illegal immigrants who come to the country at a young age and meet certain requirements. The policy change will apply to those who came to the United States before they were 16 and who are younger than 30 if they have lived here for five years, have no criminal history, graduated from a U.S. high school or served in the military.

Wherever the Backpack Roams
By Ed Kilgore
I continue to be amazed at how little general attention has been drawn by Mitt Romney’s radical proposal to turn all federal K-12 education dollars into vouchers that will, as one of his advisors, Grover Whitehurst, likes to put it, follow kids around like a backpack wherever their parents choose to send them.
If the Romney proposal is implemented and becomes, as it appears designed to become, a super-charged magnet for state as well as federal money to flow into private schools, some pretty big questions will have to be asked about whether any conditions will be placed on private use of public dollars. Will schools all over the country receiving public largesse be like some of those which are beginning to receive state money via Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal’s new “scholarship” (just another word in this case for “voucher”) program? Here’s a report on those fine institutions from the Independent Weekly’s Walter Pierce:
The tally of private schools approved by the state Department of Education to accept voucher students reads like a who’s-who of who’s-that; one sees few big brand names — no St. Thomas Mores or John Curtises. Evangel, a football powerhouse in Shreveport, jumps out, but the vast majority is overwhelmingly small, Christian schools — evangelical mostly along with a fair number of Roman Catholic schools — tiny operations with fewer than 100 students…
Most appear to be tied to evangelical churches with names like Eternity Christian Academy, Old Bethel Christian Academy and Boutte Christian Academy. In fact, “Christian” and “academy” dominate the nomenclature….
The most brazen example is Eternity Christian Academy in Westlake. The school has been approved to accept 135 new students. That’s a considerable uptick in enrollment, which at the end of this school year stood at 38 — a more than 300 percent increase. Talk about buttressing the budget; $1 million in tax dollars will be diverted from the public school system to Eternity Christian, a school that, according to its mission statement, offers “a quality faith-based curriculum that is soley [sic] based on principles from the Bible

Question: How many ‘Grovers’ does Myth Rover have as his ‘advisors’? Good morning everyone!
This is when I start to agree with the “no new taxes” folks - I don’t want my tax dollars being shovelled from my pocket into the pockets of the rich or the falsely religious. I’d rather have my money go to poor people, education, public workers who make this country work - i.e. the “parasites”, according to the GOP. Infuriating!
Bleeech! Can you imagine sitting next to Romney on a plane, and watching him peel the skin off of his chicken, and listening to that annoying laugh? Heh,as if we peons could afford the pleasure of sitting next to Mr. Romney on a airplane.
I am a bit suspicious of this factuality of this article, as in reality, how often does Myth fly commercial, rather than a private jet; if he did fly commercial, he would be in first class, not business or god forbid economy, so did this lady really sit beside him…I would have asked for a seat re-assignment, all the way back to the bottom of economy, to get away from that numbskull.
I believe it was when he was trying to pretend to be “one of the people”… I don’t think he’s tried it again.
GM TOD. Loving the Bloomberg polls. Some in the media have already tried spinning it as bad news for PBO by saying that the poll over sampled minorities and under sampled whites. That’s a huge lie. 67% of the respondents were white and Pres. Obama still fared better than Romney in general. I’ve been tweeting about the good news.
So, some white people are not as dumb as they look to be? (hint - me?)
Good for the lazy good-for-nothing media. When that Purple Strategies (or whatever is the full name of a Republican PR consultant’s firm Alex Castellanos) ) poll came out claiming Romney was leading or ahead in a number of battlerground states they all happily cited it and no mention of the percentage of any groups polled. karma and all that applies……
Awesome job on twitter Utah.
Good morning Ms. Chips and TOD.
Congrats NZ on being first.
Speaking of polls, turned on TV to watch Stephanie Miller. TV was set to MSNBC and Luke Russert was sitting in for Chuckie Todd. Well, when and his pea-head guest mentioned the Bloomberg poll {{{{{scream}}}} - it was like Noooooooooooooooooooo - this can’t be true. His guess said it APPEARS that MAYBE in this poll more BLACK and BROWN people were polled. Oh, and don’t forget THIS IS ONLY ONE POLL.. I thought their heads were going to explode.
Their heads have exploded, they just don’t know it yet!
Do any guest question if more whites are poll, or more Republicans, more elderly whites.
The media just as well come out and say that they are against President Obama, that they want Mitt to win, because if anyone see any fair and balance reporting from them, please show it to me.
You are so lovely! Thanks sabreen60
GM to you too!
Okay am I the only one who has fallen in love with the start of these ads where PBO is in full all out swag and puts his hands in the pockets and says, “I’m Barack Obama and I approve this message”? I have played and replayed that part of the video a gazillion times. Is it just me and do I need therapy? Check it out. He is soooo
PLEASE, don’t get me started on this topic!!
Meta, that stride and that swag, nobody does it better. He had me going O-M-G!!!! I had to tell myself, DOWN GIRL!!!
OMG, he is something, that man. I could go on.
I love that part, too. It makes me, like, feel some type of way.
Hey Girly! How ya doing? What’s going on for the summer? I’ve been volunteering out of the PG County office the last few weeks (totally unorganized) but I think I’m going to go to the DNC office next week to volunteer. Have you hooked up yet with one of the offices in the Baltimore area?
Baltimore doesn’t have an OFA office yet. But I should be back at the DNC soon. I may be getting an internship at a federal agency for the summer. Still waiting on confirmation.
Oh great I’m crossing my fingers for you on the internship. I need to put you in touch with Kathleen LaPore out of the Baltimore area. She always has things going on in that area. She tells me all the time to just have people send her an message on FB and she will hook them up
Here is her facebook page if your interested for future reference. http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php?id=773202655
Thanks!
GOOD LUCK!!
Hi collegekay! Good to see you!
It is not just you, DD4O, and we do not need therapy, we are all just normal healthy (hot-blooded women), of varying ages! You just enjoy your reactions…. Okay?
No, Donna dem. That is all.
are you kidding? therapy? nonono! this is good for us, ‘vitamin o’ ! take up to 6 times a day for a brighter outlook on life!
“Vitamin O” - I like that!
Chips, I just sent a cool photo, check your email if you are still here!
It’s a beaut Pamela, thank you!!!!
Pleased to see it posted for all to share! (I think the actual date was was yesterday, but I only found it on my FB page this morning)
Love the “Romnesia”!!!
Oh John? Where is YOUR JOBS PLAN?
Boehner: Where are the jobs, jobs, jobs, you promised you would focus on? I think I’ll email that to our sorry Speaker.
Pamela, we have some great minds here. Great minds think alike they say.

WH executive Privilige on documents!
Barack is going to Bat for Holder, sticking up for Him!
Good Mornin’ Chips!!!!! Good morning everyone. I got delayed being underground in the subway so could not comment earlier
Good morning! Hate being delayed in underground subway.
Mubarek in a coma, just about dead yesterday. Today, he’s conscious and off life support. STRANGE.
Quite Interesting!
Shows you just how useless the media has become.
Ezra Klein has a sad.
It seem the poll upset Mr. Klein more than Mitt Romney refusing to release his tax returns, or Mitt lying all the time, or the racists hatred B.S. the President has to deal with. It is clear Klein is a hater.
This is mind boggling. A progressive is upset because a Democratic President has opened up a big league on his Republican opponent? FOX News showed PBO up by 7 in their polling so what is Klein crying about?
These people desperately want a “horse race” because it’s good for their bottom line. They know as well as anyone, that this is not a political horse race. This talking is just desperation to keep the public interested in a very dull man…..MR. They will continue to manufacture this until late October.
He already declared that his job is not to promote Dems. I guess his job is to promote GOP…
Fox News Almost Pulled A Fast One On Jon Stewart
http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2012/06/fox-news-jon-stewart-obama-immigration.php
Sean Hannity rolled an old clip showing President Obama admitting he can’t take executive action to prevent deportations.
But after seeing the clip, Stewart thought Obama might have more to say. In fact, he did!
“Mother fuckers!” Stewart said. “You just cut Obama off, just before he very clearly says he can do the exact thing he just did
I watched the Daily Show last night.
It was a typical Fox distortion. They do that all the time.
But if I recall, didn’t the GOP was furious this week about MSNBC editing a clip that in no way was distorting what Romney said? They wanted MSNBC to apologize, Andrea Mitchell I think.
They’re so hypocritical.
that was a jon stewart show worth watching. there’s a bit where cenac and oliver play out the ‘both sides do it’ meme, which you can skip. but the pox news bit is priceless.
Good morning Chips and TOD ohana! The good news just keeps pouring in; young immigrants granted a reprieve on deportation, Russian ship carrying helicopters and weapons to Syria stopped by having their insurance pulled (that is too damn smart!) and a poll that more correctly reflects voter attitudes. Woot!
Chips, as always, I cannot thank you enough for this awesome place which is a valuable public service in support of our democracy. Knowledge is power.
White House to invoke executive privilege over Holder documents.
http://livewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/entries/holder-asks-white-house-to-exert-executive-privilege
there will be outrage, but this is actually the 1 executive privelege invoked by Obama admin to Ronnie Reagan’s 24 I believe I read.
Ohhhhh My gooooodness….
the chess game is onnnnnnnnnn…..
what is the next move….!!

And they are standing on solid ground and Issa knows it.
and gwb did 8.
I’m quite sure that this decision is based on solid grounds, and inon careful consideration of the balance between national security vs transparency. However, we have to prepare ourselves for the GOP and the PL to spin this as unlawful, horrible, dictatorial, etc…
Like seeing mehmney get his ass kicked by our great President Obama
Okay if FLOTUS will be at the first event at 10:30 am, is that 10:30 am here?
Good Morning Family!
Now I’m off to a meeting!
tpm reporting that birther gary kreep has won the CA judgeship ? wtf ?
pathetic dems yielding power meekly and then whining about wingnuts
http://tpmmuckraker.talkingpointsmemo.com/2012/06/gary_kreep_birther_garland_peed_san_diego_court.php
I’m disappointed but not surprised. San Diego is a pretty conservative city sometimes as this vote shows bordering on extreme.
Wxactly. Just because it is in CA doesn’t mean it is Dem oriented. Isn’t Issa from CA. And San Diego is one of the most conservative parts of the state.
I’ve never felt comfortable in San Diego - always couldn’t wait to get out of there. But, it’s so beautiful - especially La Jolla. What a shame.
Actually, San Diego city is not as conservative as it used to be when I first arrived here in the early 70′s. This judgeship involves the larger San Diego county which is still pretty conservative with extreme right wing tea bagger sections.
Matthew Dowd on the Bloomberg poll basically said good news for the President is actually bad news for the President!
Got it!
Their will be a lot of lobbying of Bloomberg, so next months poll is likely to be dead even.
Yep, or next week they’ll pull a poll out of their ass, that shows Mitt’s numbers “edging” PBO’s.
Pete just released more photos from Cabo for us:

Just stunning, fascinating, each one.
TY meta…..for the link….my favorite is number 13…he has the german chancelor attention…
and i often tweet your tweets… i have not mastered the art of creating tweets but i do pass on your tweets as well as others…i feel that we are part of the on the ground soldiers for the President and i am ever grateful to play a small role…

Thank you very much, prettyfoot! I appreciate it.
great pix! it’s painful to see them in business attire, at such a relaxing spot, but necessary i know. they are all working so hard, and our president is clearly a leader among leaders.
I love that Pete seems to have a shoe fetish, but the one of the Protocol Secretary in her heels, standing with all the men in the comfy loafers is interesting - since you can only see legs and feet.

Lemieu just dropped out of Senate race in Florida.
Oops, Romnesia needed again:
I wonder if they will continue the floor vote?
What they are doing and demanding is actually jeopardizing national security. It’s bad enough that they have destroyed the economy, and continue to do so - but to also now jeopardize ongoing investigations for a witch hunt! They haven’t even called as witnesses the main people who were actually involved in the early mismanagement of the whole affair. This really is over the line.
WoooWooo
Obama invokes executive privilege over DOJ documents
President Obama has asserted executive privilege over the documents sought by a House committee as related to the “Fast and Furious” operation, a development which will have a big effect on the contempt proceedings.

The unconvicted, ex-criminal, should investigate the NRA for letting guns kill our children and other people in favor of profit over money, ALEC for writing the damn laws, and the Kochs for their treasonous actions; particulary in relationship to Iran. Let’s not forget ole Murdoch.
But, he’s too Koched up for that.

http://www.stumbleupon.com/su/AFUH2B/thegrio.com/2012/06/20/obama-asserts-executive-privilege-protects-holder/
It is the first time Obama has asserted executive privilege as president. The practical effect of his decision is that Holder is likely to be held in contempt by the House committee, as congressional Republicans have been sharply condemning him for months. But it puts Obama firmly in defense of the first black attorney general and suggests Holder is unlikely to resign even if he is held in comtempt.
Wednesday’s vote by the House Oversight Committee is likely to lead to a full vote by the House of Representatives . That measure is very likely to pass too, as the dispute over the documents has divided along partisan lines, and the GOP has the majority in the House.
***********************************************
Question:…If Holder is held in Contempt of Congress….what does that mean??
Ed had a great segment on this last night. It isn’t posted yet. He was talking to a rep from CA, and I just can’t remember his name…Shiffer or something like that…he’s a lawyer, and I think he said that it will be thrown to the courts to decide, but it will take months to do…nothing will happen to Holder immediately, no matter what those idiots on the House do today….If I think about it, I’ll check later and see if I can get that over here…the rep did an excellent job of explaining the truth of Fast and Furious….and exposed the lies and BS that the Republicans say…and “forget” to say about the operation. It was very good….
Good read for this

Don’t know if anybody has seen this, since it was from last Saturday, but interesting comments from Justice Ginsburg over upcoming rulings from SCOTUS. No real revelation as tro what the rulings will be. http://www.cnn.com/2012/06/15/us/scotus-ginsburg-health-care/index.html
MoveOn.org is currently running a poll to determine if the organization should endorse PBO for reelection. At this point 91.94% favor endorsement.
Why would this even be in question. I know they like to leave these things up to their members but It’s not like he had any oppostion in the Democratic Party. Sometimes I just don’t know about MoveOn.
It may simply be a way to raise money.
This rally in Colorado with FLOTUS is wild! Love it.

Ezra Klein looks about ready to blow a gasket about the Bloomberg poll. He said Obama is only up .8%, a very slight lead. He is really mad about that poll. Michael Steele agrees, said this poll is meaningless. Why do I have the feeling that if the poll was reversed, Klein would not be angry and Steele would not call it meaningless.
Questions Klein and buddy Steele should be Tweeted.
