All she had to say was … I voted for the Democratic President as I am a Democrat. The alternative was not an option and then cite how the republican’s policies were not right for Kentucky.

That is unless she did vote for the Mitt and was afraid to lose the democratic vote.

Either way she is a crappy candidate. Thankfully I am not in her state as I personally would not vote for her.

Thank you so much Nerdy - delicious tweets - other than Old Chuck - I also love the tweets from Josh & Jay Carney - pointing out, yet again, that the media does NOT do anything of worth to provide truth and news.

I was taught when young - that our democracy had “secret ballots” and you were never asked “who did you vote for”. I find the GOP and Chuck Todd are disgusting for the current b.s. they are talking about Allison Grimes.

I was watching Rev. Al when he was talking about how Allison Grimes of Kentucky refuse to say if she voted for Barack Obama. No one thought her response were right. Is she that scare to mention Obama’s name, unless she is saying something negative. All I heard her say was she was a Clinton Democrat.

    • 43 bella2758
      October 10, 2025 at 7:09 pm

Why couldn’t she just say that she voted for Barack Obama?

If she didn’t vote for him, then couldn’t she say that.

            October 10, 2025 at 7:20 pm

Hay yes I voted for Barack Obama, but that doesn’t mean I agree with everything he says or do. All Grimes had to say. Show alittle dam backbone.

I am guessing that she probably didn’t and is afraid to lose the democratic vote.

It also could be that she (as I would) is honoring the sanctity of each person’s right to vote anonymously. A right that I would never want to see undermined.

            October 10, 2025 at 7:41 pm

People are like that Bobfr, and they have a right to be like that, as for me, I will tell anyone and everyone that I voted for Barack Obama 08,12, and would again if he could run again.

Bobfr, given her comments during the course of the campaign, I seriously doubt that is the reason.

You on the other hand are a man of integrity and that has always been reflected in your posts. We may not agree on single issue but there is never any questions about what you stand for. Grimes….not so much.

Bob - That was the first thing I thought of, and she should have been ready to respond in that way. Of course, I’m not in politics, so no telling why some of these Dems act the way they act.

        • 54 bella2758

The rapprochement between Iran and Saudi Arabia and Iran’s involvement in the fight against Daesh, not only in Syria but also Iraq, are elements of a fundamental realignment in the ME.

GWB & Cheney (and, before them, several other Republican Presidents, including Ike) pursued (neo) colonialist objectives throughout the region.

9/11 was but one of many pay-backs.

But, what GWB & Cheney did by invading and occupying Iraq catalyzed the most dangerous threat to global security that any colonial adventure in the ME ever has.

Irony, being what it is, has former foes (for centuries) having to align to eradicate a threat that they collectively realize is far graver than their centuries of hating each other - Daesh.

Fortuitously, Americans elected Barack Hussein Obama twice, because either of the neoconster thugs who ran against him would have already ignited a conflagration instead of strategically striving to align centuries-long foes to destroy Daesh.

Now if Turkey can just get its act together - Daesh will be destroyed and folk in the ME can get on with being more interested in addressing the great inequities within their own nations without the distraction of colonialists subjugating them.

For sure, one of the most potent reasons why they’d best do so is that OIL is increasingly not their future, but they’ve got unparalleled access to the SUN!!! Let’s hope they start thinking creatively about that fact and about how technology can be used to transform desert into oasis.

“We also decided that since he’s from India and I’m from Pakistan that we would try to bring a strong relationship to India and Pakistan,” Ms. Yousafzai said in the news conference, adding that she and Mr. Satyarthi would invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif of Pakistan to the Nobel ceremony in Oslo in December.”

Pardon me…..as I was leaving, I saw this ad by Ms Davis. I thought it was truthful, but the GOPers are screaming and complaining. MotherJones.com is now not too happy with the ad. I approve it for it is Truthful.
The Media and the GOP will turn it now and it will become like what happened in NJ in 2009……when Corzine made a great ad calling Christie out for throwing his weight while serving as US Attorney’s Office……cherry-picking cases.

Please take a look. It has been a hard week. G’Nite. See YOU all Tomorrow.
