MEEEEEEE!!
Good Morning DesertFlower!
Yes, you!!!!! Congrats on your gold :star:!
Congrats to df, swbluega on 1st place tie!
US?!?!?!? Good Morning desertflower! :-)
((( us))))
Moooooooooooorning DF! Moooooooooorning everyone!!
Good Morning, Chips!
I just read on Twitter that Chuck Todd went on a rant about Alison Grimes not telling us whether she voted for President Obama or not. Ugh. Now I feel gross. :)
Other political pundits have been pointing out that Todd should be going after Repubs who’ve been saying some disgusting things or avoiding questions about Obamacare.
Morning GB! Another reason I have to hold my nose when I read anything about Grimes, she gives ammunition to shills like Todd, who lap it up. If we held our breath for Todd to ask about those GOPers, we would be deceased. Low life rat.
Low life rat indeed.
That’s just me being polite, GB - I’m on another mission to reduce my cussing :-)
Ha. #goodluckwiththat.
**** off.
SEE WHAT YOU’VE DONE!1!1!!
#missionaccomplished
I’ve started again. So don’t provoke me, ****er.
D’oh!
just remember the rule.
Don’t you dare!!! It’s one of the reasons I love you. :)
GB! Are you encouraging me to ****ing cuss?!?!
I’m encouraging you to be you. That’s all. :)
That’s the ****ing problem, my beloved!
:) :) :) :) !!!
Youuuuuuuu! :-)
Risen and Shizzen! :-)
:-D
G’morning Chips, TOD, lurkers, everyone! Thanks Chips for this wonderful R & S and for posting our President’s schedule :)
Good Morning hopefruit! Have a marvelous day!
A three peat this Fine Friday Morning ;)
DF, Swbluega and HF
Au :star: Triplets. Congrats.
I saw BWD is back once again as a Tweeple, Yes! I am 48 hrs late in noticing though. Hello BWD ;)
Awesome R&S, Chips. Thank You.
Now back to catching up from last night.
Nena, just want to double your congratulations to our TOD winners and welcome BWD!
Of course he took time from his busy day to check on a child and see how he was doing! This man makes my heart happy. Happy!
GM all. I’ll be off the grid until sometime Monday, so have a great weekend.
And Malala is awesome.
And she has more in the coming weeks, I’m sure. After all, she’s “The Closer.”
hopefruit2, October 17th she will be going to Florida. I’m still hoping she will stop by North Carolina. But if Kay Hagan haven’t invited her she won’t come.
That piece of crap Thom Tillis is the reason we have this Voter ID law here in Carolina, he and that sorry Governor. Someone else is behind these changes in trying to make it hard for certain people to vote, Tillis and the Republicans are just doing their dirty work.
She may still end up in NC towards the very end. As they say, she’s the “Closer.”
Hope this works:)
I’m Happy! :-)

Replied, ya treasure!
#wontblushwontblushwontblush
Knock it off, you two.
 We’ll be scrapping again in a minute 57, this phase will pass!
what, me fight?
Aaaaaaaaaaw! Except, dogs like that are usually the ones that bite yer ankles off. So……
That’s my Pearl (only with hair, and ears that stand up.) Her ears were never cropped so she can either make them stand up to “talk” to us, or they flop down really cute. And due to the abusive situation of her first 7 years, we’ve never been able to get the hair to grow back on her back. But that’s her! That’s even Nickelby’s bed that she commandeered.
Pearl is NOT yippy or bitey. None of my little dogs have been yippy or bitey. Do not disparage little dogs!
you tell her, 57f, you tell her good. #defaminglildogssmh
:-) They’re bossy, though. Didn’t Amk post this one before? Still cracks me up!
Ha!
LMAO! :)
In fact, she has an interesting bark: we call it her “Kathleen Turner” bark.
I bought a couple of fleece throws for the bed and the sofa. Pearl decided the one on the sofa was hers and hers alone. I had to go wash a blanket late last night to stay warm (in the low 40’s here in Chi-town).
Well, maybe she’s not yippy or bitey but I guess she is a bit of a tyrant.
No they don”t. My Megan would never think of doing that and she is a Yorkie just like that cutie. Except I keep her hair long. She is 16-1/2 yrs old. Hope to keep her for a couple of more. She has been one excellent pet. She can’t hardly see and whines a lot now. Just hurting with old age. We still cuddle at night once she has her spot on the bed. Going to miss her.
:-) You just did!1!1
daymn. gotta stop using fair & lovely creams.
You need a haircut too, scruffy head.
pick, pick, pick. And it’s been not even a minute.
Told ya 57, normal service is resumed!

HA HA!
Lol
loved it.
This comment under the West Wing Week video is AWESOME.
HereAtApple 10 hours ago: Obama: He can be the best comedian in the room, the most intelligent person in the room, and the most likable guy in the room all at once. He’s awesome.
Ah, love it Nerdy! But you were so brave even looking at the comments, I usually avoid them like the plague. But great to see one from a non-nutter!
A gazillion belated thanks for your tweets post last night Nerdy, having missed most of the day’s news, it was a gem of a way to catch up. Thank you again Legend.
I usually avoid them too; especially on videos concerning the Obamas. The comments under those videos are disgusting, hateful, racist, and sometimes downright frightening. The comment snagged my eye because it was the first comment and wasn’t nasty. Shocker!
As for the tweets post, thank you, Chips. Your comment and Ms. J’OB’s comment reminded me once again why I love helping you run TOD. :)
Nerdy, I think there was a typo in your comment: you said you are “helping run TOD”.
Doing 99.46% of the work is a little more than “helping”.
:-)
Once more I say: LEGEND!!!
Nerdy, you and Chips are simply the best. I hope you always know how much we appreciate all the thought and effort you put into keeping us informed and laughing!!
Thank you so much, Meta.
Awww … I actually just spotted this, you little darlin’!

heh, blame beebs.
“I am in no mood to mince words today. Cenk Uygur is the manifestation of the conservative caricature of a limousine liberal. He doesn’t find the president’s accomplishments in health care important, because hey, he’s not one of the 14 million people who couldn’t afford health care otherwise. He doesn’t care that because of one president’s leadership, the country has gone from 60% against gay marriage to 60% for marriage equality. He doesn’t care about the autoworkers whose jobs President Obama singlehandedly saved, and he could care less about black and brown people in the red states having their voting rights taken away.”

Right On…Right ON
OMG, that worthless piece of crap!
An absolutely glorious takedown.
who in the hell still listens to the cenk punk?
Even on Old Orange, he’s not as popular as he used to be…
He’s popular on DU with the Glenn Greenwald/Snowden/ODS crowd and there’s a lot of them. They’ll defend profiteering ODSers to their last gasp.
Cenk blamed the White House for losing his job at msnbc .. He was whining before and he’s still whining..

I had commitments last night and was not able to watch the debate for governor between Quinn (D-good guy) and Rauner (R-Evil, makes Scott Walker look like a socialist). There was a quick comment on local news that there were no knock out punches but it was obvious Quinn was more experienced. Okay, Rauner has never done anything in government, so “duh!” And did I mention that he’s evil? And the LIES in his ads - thank you, Romney, for saying out loud that lying in ads was the way to win.
Watching the Tribune station, channel 9, this morning - there was no comment on the debate. That tells me Quinn won.
Good Ms. Chips, Danny and TOD family, I hope all is well with everyone this lovely Friday morning. Congrats desertflower, on being first.
Thank God that President Obama is still the President of The United States of America. TGIF>>
Gooooooooood morning RanMan, have the best Friday ever!!
“JUST DON’T EXPECT US TO ACTUALLY DO ANYTHING IF WE WIN.”
The Politics of Fear comes with fine print
By Steve Benen
———————————
In other words, the Republican tack is burdened by an awkward contradiction: what Americans need is a strong, vibrant public sector prepared for every emergency, which is why Americans should vote for a party that wants to weaken and dismantle the public sector as quickly as possible.
.
.
The entire strategy is void of meaning and purpose if Republicans are pushing fear for the sake of fear – there’s still no agenda, no vision, no plans, and no ideas to serve as a foundation.
“If you’re afraid – of pretty much anything – vote GOP,” the message goes. “Just don’t expect us to actually do anything if we win.”

dinner time.
Good Morning TOD
Please talk to your Democratic family, friends, neighbors and co-workers and insist that they vote this November.
Me thinks they don’t like each other very much.
I am going to sound really stupid here. India-Pakistan are Cousins separated by religion. In India, there are 190M Muslims. India is much populous, stable economically, educationally, politically and culturally advanced.
Think of what they could do geographically is they got along better.
I am glad for the Respite.
Little things that change perception and are totally irresponsible: concerning the Dallas deputy who finally tested negative to ebola. Here was the wording I heard on the news all day yesterday: “The deputy who showed symptoms of ebola……” He showed flu-like symptoms, which can be ebola or any of the other 4,000 flu bugs floating around. The message to the lazy sheep: “If I’m vomiting or have a cough, I have ebola.”
Totally irresponsible.
They’re trying to scare the public per orders of the GOP!
The Officer got sick, 2-3 hours after Mr. Duncan’s death. He worried himself to an imagined illness. He never had a fever. The Press was looking to fear monger. BREAKING NEWS all in caps and scary music with graphics and Halloween coming…….Ebola needed very little encouragement from the Tabloid MSM and the Fox of this world.
Note:
The people who actually lived with Mr. Duncan are still asymptomatic.
Nena, I didn’t know that. There was NO way this man had ebola. The press should be sued for such flagrant fear-mongering. And the guy, too. Shame on him.
I have family living in CT - and apparently Gov Malloy (D) and his challenger - Folley(R) had their first debate last night. My relatives told me that Malloy basically kicked Folley’s arse…there is no contest. If someone votes for Folley, they have an agenda, because Folley lies like a beast and stands for NOTHING!
I want a livestream! :)
Alas no livestream in sight - but they will be live tweeting.
Thanks donna.

Loukanikos - meaning “Sausage” - charged and yelped alongside protesters when they confronted police and were tear-gassed in the streets of Athens.
A leftist newspaper, Avgi, says the dog has been buried in the shade of a tree on a hill in the city centre.
Loukanikos was a stray but a man took him in and looked after him. The dog was originally called Theodor.
In 2011 Time magazine listed Loukanikos as one of its personalities of the year.
