I so <3 the fact that POTUS and FLOTUS are not afraid to show a range of natural emotions, and I <3 <3 it even more that they are mostly joyful, happy and involved with #WeThePeople in so many ways.

What an absolutely glorious roundup of photos, Nerdy. I feel as if we really have a chance to relive all that happened today. Our President and First Lady are fully there for everyone they encounter. This ability to be fully in the moment and fully with another person is a great and rare gift that our First Couple have been given in abundance.

Hi, VC. I pulled a muscle in my back as we were redecorating, so I’ve been taking it slow trying to recover. Went to a Democratic fundraiser tonight for our local candidates, which had a remarkably good turnout. We’ve got great candidates who would do a terrific job in office if only people would come out to vote.

NerdyWonka, thank you so very much for the view into our beloved President and First Lady’s day. It means a great deal to see how much time, energy and love they bring to this country each day. I am beholden to you, and humbled by them. <3

Sherijr was looking to post this article from Jim Wright, as he rips apart an article from The Hill. He makes his point, as always, but I found it a hard read. He gets the fanatical dark side of the GOP way more than I do. I think we do need the shit scared out of us. And then we need TO VOTE. Because our lives depend on it.

Good evening TOD! I too am concerned about the comments I see here about Hillary. Jim Wright over at Stonekettle has an excellent post stating that this is in fact the Republican strategy: Wear all those not so enamored Dems out about Hillary and hopefully they will stay home and not vote. A MUST read before this talk goes further.

    http://www.stonekettle.com/2015/04/the-romney-strategy.html#comment-form

My personal motto from now until November 2016 is: You need a reason to vote? I can give you NINE! It’s called the Supreme Court.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I would also add..ACA if you want to keep HC you better vote DEM.

        April 18, 2025 at 2:20 am

Even better….MILLIONS of reasons to get out there and vote Dem, regardless of what you think of the nominee. If not for yourself, do it for all the people who have HC for the first time in years, if not in their lives. Lives depend on it.

I’m so mad! I finally get on TOD & enjoy time to respond to your post, FoxfireTX, and then it went “poof” into somewhere cyberspace as I was getting ready to post. I have so little time anymore to post & enjoy TOD & I’m just plain spitting at techie windows & panes right now!

I watched the dynamics at the press conference with Matteo Renzi and was impressed at the authentic warmth and chemistry between the two leaders.

There are few men who can be friends with both Kings and paupers. President Obama belongs to an elite group who are loved by both.
