MoooOOOooorning!

Morning Mister, morning everyone!
We are supposed to do this???
Ok, morning missy. morning toddys.
It’s not compulsory, but often when people see each for the first time on any given day, they say: “Morning!”
even after 6 pm? that’s just plain crazy.
 Go away!
How’s Danny doing, Chips?
yup, as simple as that.
GM Everyone!! Congrats AMK on being #1
Thx Allison. Morning to you too.
Yes, yes it is.
HOW did this comment get here? Supposed to be reply to the tweet. Good morning all!
Way too kind in the description of what a GOP President will do - as are all the pundits.
Keep us out of stupid wars…..
LOL. So true. These fucksticks couldn’t manage their own internal affairs and yet want to boom, bomb, iran, syria, iraq.
And that perfectly describes the two parties
the pundtwits seem to know all. does she think these guyz are dumb?
Exactly - ALL the candidates on the Dem Debate stage last night have ran (and won) political campaigns before. They know what TV exposure is…Sheesh!
They are all about shiny objects and who won the day bs distractions. No wonder PBO is contemptuous of all these corrupt airheads of canle noise.
Why Joy because they didn’t set themselves on fire to get noticed by pundits and media to harp on and sell commercials.
Nah! I noticed most questions after the initial one were posed directly to Clinton or Sanders. Not particular fair in terms of time allotted. Jim Webb mentioned it but it made him look whiny. That’s my complaint about how the debate was conducted. Otherwise I think Anderson did a decent job of moderating. Plus, I’ve gotta admit whenever Webb and Chafee did speak, I found myself wanting to say “okay you can sit down now. You are soooo not gonna be President.” They were just outmatched and didn’t have the chops to get themselves in the convo. When the opposition doesn’t play fair, the best politicians know how to work around that. PBO is a master at it.
Sorry, dunno how I ended up with dupes of the tweet there. Posting from my phone is kinda hard - like neurosurgery - for me! 😁😀😊
“neurosurgery” is not a good analogy anymore, since Dr. Carson showed us his mind.
G’morning Chips, TOD, lurkers and congrats even amk on #1! Happy Wednesday everyone. :) Thanks Chips for reminding us of the creative arts performance at the White House this evening. It will be later aired on PBS in early Jan - I believe.
But I just had to say that Brian Stokes Mitchell and Audra McDonald are my DREAM couple to play POTUS and FLOTUS on broadway! :) :) To see them back again on the same stage…LAWD…and all the other greats…James Taylor, Carol Burnett..Smokey, Queen, Trombone…Woooosh!
GM hopefruit2. I agree Brian and Audra would put on one amazing show. Are we going to be able to watch it tonight?
Yes, I’m watching it now…just got home in time…sorry I couldn’t respond to your Q earlier!
wow hf, they’d actually be perfect- as POTUS & FLOTUS, great idea!
great tweet…amk….
and a leopard never changes his spots…
Good morning, TOD ohana.
Thanks to everyone who commented and tweeted regarding the Dem debate last night. I was able to catch up on what happened. This first outing should put paid to that “both sides are the same”meme that we keep seeing. I hope that the dem. candidates keep on point throughout.
It is still hot, muggy, and buggy in NE Fla. (I should buy stock in anti- itch products); cannot wait fr cooler temperatures.
Have a great day everyone: Barack Hussein Obama is still president and more good things are to come.
In 2012, PBO’s first debate performance was not unlike the majority of the candidates last night -yet he got lambasted for it, and Romney was praised even as it was evident that Romney told a pack of lies… Just throwing that out there. Amazing how the bar is set twice as high and the goal posts are moved for PBO relative to ANY other political candidate…
yeah, I remember that 2012 furst debate. :)
Morning everyone…going to be a loooooong day today! Didn’t sleep a wink last night. No idea why, just one of those nights when you just can’t get comfortable. Prolly in bed by 6:30 tonight:) One of those nights when I would trade food for sleep.
GM Ms Chips and TODers
1st world problem - not sure my marriage will survive this downsizing and moving
Morning, 99ts:) Downsizing AND moving? Just smile and compliment him a lot….and don’t forget to laugh! At him and with him:) Good Luck!!
Thanks df - we just don’t fit in the space anymore - I want sleek and space - he wants all his home comforts - that just don’t fit! Will be falling over ourselves and the furniture.
And how we do waste limited resources on things we really do not need. Rant over - many thanks for your thoughts.
his mancave? just throwing it in there.
In an apartment - don’t think they let you have tents on the balcony!
just hang it from the balcony. it’s his problem then to get to it.
I was thinking this: http://www.greenpoddevelopment.com/
Plunked at a beach:)
Don’t think that’s quite it df :) 450 sq ft. Our apartment is 1200, slightly more than half the size of our home. Guess I should just chop all the furniture in half.
JUST WHAT MY SPOUSE NEEDS…AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH PEACE FOR SUE!
Oh yes, it will, and will be better than ever, a new life awaits ~ once the dust and the mayhem settles! _/|\_ <3 + <3
The thought that you have done this keeps me going MightyP - my trail blazer. hugs.
{{{{{ 99ts }}}}} {{{{{ Mr99 }}}}}
It’s another chapter in your life story - give each other a hug and take a deep breath. You will look back in relief, one day soon.

Good West Coast morning Chipsticks & TOD family.
cool idea.
GM amk. I actually love this idea!!
I’m still in shock…the Cubs WON!!
Ain’t we all.
paging cbc and tavis smiley.
And the insufferable Cornel West.
<3
I enjoyed the debate very much. The contrast with the GOP is staggering. And it was NOT boring.
Some observations: Bernie is an insufferable jerk. It was clear if it isn’t his issue, stated in the way he wants, he kicks everyone off his lawn. I like him less and less. He had a few moments, but what was obvious was that he is “above” debate prep, he is “above” reaching a wider group of voters. He would be an awful President. He shares the lion’s share of our issues and beliefs, but he is the wrong messenger and clearly the wrong leader.
It’s hilarious to just read the titles of diaries at the Orange Satan this morning: Bernie really won it’s just that no one knows it. Hilarious, I tell you.
Hillary did great. So much better than I expected. But this is how serious campaigns prepare. And prepared she was.
We can zero in on the things that bother us, like her TPP stance (which I don’t believe for a minute, frankly). But the continuation of PBO’s progressive policies is the clear direction of all of the candidates. I want it stated louder and stronger, but it’s there. And in the end, that’s all that matters: a march in the right direction that will continue under a Democratic POTUS, which is what PBO has always wanted.
Webb - oh, please. O’Malley - Poor guy, now I see why you can’t catch a break. You need some serious schooling, young man. Chafee - poor guy.
Our worst is light years betters than their best.
Good morning 57. I didn’t watch the debates but your recap was excellent. Thank You.
mebbe in 2020 for mom? everyone cannot be the friggin’ kenyan. #nothingbutnetz
We are privileged to have been part of the Age of Obama. The FDR of our time.
great assessment
WOW…this looks great
GOOD MORNING TOD FAMILY AND AT THE SAME TIME ADIOS…AM OFF TO THE COVERED BRIDGE FESTIVAL………………..FOR SOME SINCERELY MUCH NEEDED ENJOYMENT!…HAVE A SUPER BLESSED DAY!
Well, well, there IS interest in the Democratic primary. STFU, Fox & the other GOP enablers.
Apparently the debate broke Dem debate records.
I am so glad to see that my gloomy predictions were way off and that plenty of people tuned in.
I was extremely surprised and happy with the outcome on just about every level. Particularly interest.
Wow, I am so happy that many watched!!! I feel so much better.
Alright, Alright, All Right!
My prediction was 6-8M
One sibling of mine predicted 12-16M.
This is interesting because I had this same thought as Dan before I went to sleep last night. I felt that Hillary stood up to the onslaught quite well with poise and intelligence. I’ve stated on a number of occasions here that Hillary is a very smart woman and that came across last night but….. I had this sense that when I went on Facebook (all Sanders), read some articles from watch parties in Iowa (Sanders & O’Malley), saw the online polls (Sanders) as well as seeing that focus group last night (Sanders) that I was missing something. Bernie’s supporters were out in force last night. His supporters are far more passionate and active in their support for him. Although I felt that she clearly won last night it will be interesting to see how the actual snap polls come out in the next few days. I could be way off base here but we maybe surprised to see that the public at large felt that Bernie did a lot better than we thought.
Well, we made a concerted effort in 2007,08 to do exactly what Sanders supporters are doing. But our candidate was more inclusive, a better leader, a better organizer. I don’t know that the far left Sanders supporters are enough to win the nomination, much less the general.
Agree, 57
beat me to it. :(
heck sanders is not even known inside murka while the kenyan was world famous around 2007.
DKos is hilarious today: if they think that debate was a great introduction to Sanders to the regular voter, I want what they’re drinking.
never in touch with reality goes on still?
Hilarity ensues.
Donna, to your point. The same people who didn’t want a contested primary at all are now declaring the primary season is over.
Bernie spoke to his base and might have enlarged it. This is perplexing to us, but time will tell.
I was grateful because there was no bashing of PBO.
apples and oranges
Ours was more diverse both in age and color and there was a passion with purpose. His base has passion with poutrage. Hard to sustain the later.
Our coalition always felt expansive. Bernie’s is insular and whiny.
Campaigns reflect their candidates. Enough said.
Probably one reason that his poll numbers are up is because it’s the first time a lot of people have paid any attention at all to him.
this is your effing msm. kissing the ass of a carnival barker.
I know this is strange but I’m glad Webb was on that stage last night. I don’t agree with him but it shows real thought diversity in the Democratic party.
That’s what primaries are for.
Supposedly but you sure wouldn’t know it looking at Republicans.
The GOP is a disease, not a functioning political party.
I was reading some article were it says that America is the most obese country, they have the fattest kids, no surprise at all. But yet the right wing Republicans can object to FLOTUS healthy eating, let’s move movement. Makes no sense at all.
Army released a report last week saying 70% texans are too fat for service while the nationals average was around 25%.
http://www.stripes.com/news/us/too-fat-too-frail-to-serve-report-states-1.372670
GM, TOD! She speaks for me:
I know how she feels. After the debate I realized that I was feeling sad and relieved at the same time. I thought that our Dems did a great job at showing the contrast between the GOP a$$holes and their sad, tired ideas, and our focus on the future, but I also was so sad that PBO wasn’t up there able to debate for a 3rd term. Sigh.
Neither do I!
My Harvey was a Westie mix with floppy ears. We found him on the street, treated his cancerous foot, and loved him for 7 1/2 years. He was about 10 when we found him. What a great dog he was. I miss him every day.
That’s my Harvey’s face, right there.
Howdy Family! 😀
LOL. good one.
I don’t know if she realizes it or not, the sole reason hillary ‘won’ y’day is because she didn’t get into ‘obama bashing’, not even once as much as I watched the debate. The moment she starts to triangulate - I still don’t trust her coterie - and starts to ‘distance herself’ from him, her numbers will dive.
I am way far away from trusting her, but she did it right last night. Much, much better than I anticipated.
LOL.
