responding to hf2’s comment in previous post about “clearing the way” for king BUSH the 3rd. agreed. what’s always been so weird to me when “the news” does this, as they did with mccain and then r-money, is how the candidate does nothing to deserve their sudden fake popularity to shift polls in their favor, and in fact they should be going down in polls given how terrible they are on the campaign trail. BUSH3 has been flailing about and making a fool of himself, yet the polls will start going in his favor. no one in “the news” questions why. it just happens and surprise, surprise, the mega-money’s favorite candidate is at the top. the rubes just need to repeat the narrative, which they do dutifully. sad to see this happen each time.

Yes, Jeb is supposedly down in this poll - BUT, with Trump’s slide, the next three are all ethnic/racial minorities. They will be fairly easy to take down once Trump is out of the way - the GOP has a tried and true formula of using various forms of bigotry/xenophobia to manipulate their voters. Jeb is right after the three “minorities.”

Well, I survived yesterday! I swear, I really must be crazy!
Friday, while baking, I had to resort to “Plan B.” The Pineapple Upside Down Tea Cakes were perfection; however, the White Chocolate Mousse Tartlets failed. As I was uncertain the tart crust would hold, I made a sample tart, when it failed I decided to layer the mousse and chocolate crumbs in shot glasses, topped with a strawberry. BIG HIT! Folks at the fundraiser loved them.
Yesterday, I woke up at seven, showered, then promptly fell back asleep while dressing. Was vividly dreaming that I was on the road in heavy to B’more; woke up when I hit the breaks to avoid a fender bender — it was 9:45 and I was supposed to be in B’more at 10! Made it B’more around 11:50, just as they were about too set up the dessert table — cut it that close. Did I mention the desserts were a big hit! The caterer asked me to do a dessert table for HER anniversary party in May! The various perfumes and fragrances played havoc with my breathing; this proved to be a problem later in the evening.
When we were ready to hit the road for Delaware, my battery was DEAD — I’d left the lights on (however, a two month old battery should NOT die after three hours…) Fortunately, there was a Navy Vet with jumper cables; jokes abound about the Navy bailing out the USMC.
Made it to the banquet in Delaware ON TiME! Was 1th Anniversary of Church my cousins help found; banquet was more like a church service with food! Talk about a spirit filled event! Unfortunately, I had to leave right after dinner as the perfumes, coupled with exposure earlier in the day, proved to be too much for my system and I felt an asthma attack coming on… My Mom was able to stay for the whole event as my cousin offered to take her home.
Today is a PJ day. I’ll unload and reload the dishwasher and that’s it for manual labor! Maybe I’ll start addressing my Christmas Dinner invitations, something I can do, in bed, on the laptop. Oh, and I’ll catch up on all I missed here…
