To me this relates to Bernie Sanders’ desire to give the states the money to handle healthcare vs The ACA. The states run by GOP governors who do not like big government would make sure it failed.
A year after the problem began. If he’d addressed it immediately, the problem could have been fixed for about $100 a day. Now the pipes are damaged and it may take up to $1.5 billion to fix them. Hence the begging. The people of Flint deserve all the help they can get but it infuriates me that Snyder can call the U.S. tax payers to get him out of this tragic mess of his own making.

Former employees at the Chattanooga, Tennessee, branch office of Automation Personnel Services say they received orders for “country boys,�? or white workers.
Often, the practice was blatant. A manager at a Georgia manufacturing plant asked Christie Ragland not to send him “any black thugs,�? she said. Ragland, a former Automation office manager until early 2015, said her boss told her to give the client what he wanted. And in Memphis, Tennessee, Josie Hernandez said her branch manager would comment, “Don’t hire that damn nigger,�? and ordered her to send only Latinos to a flower delivery company.

walmart style mega brick and mortar stores are slowly being pushed out by the on-line retailing. Even in on-line retailing, niche retailing is catching on.
Many small retailers, mostly family run outfits, opposed tooth and nail the entry of walmart into India and they won. Govt was peddling the usual garbage of scale of economics, quality of products etc. since they were bribed. The courts came to the rescue of the small retailers (contrast this with thomas’ court) and walmart had to run with its tail tucked.
Also all those cities that gave them yuuuuuge tax breaks, destruction of many mom&pop stores, and low wages that employees are on food stamps and federal aid.
