belated gm from my world
Gooooooooood morning 99ts!!!!
Faaaaaantastic tweets Nerdyaroo, giiiiiiiinormous thanks!!
I only just made it to see the morning (11.30am) - but just look at the perfect timing in joining the world :)
Just went back to read your tweets NW - brilliant as usual.
The word “ghetto” is, in my vocabulary, describing the horrors of Europe during WWII - and Bernie is older than me - if he grew up thinking ghetto = black, that was something he learned in his home and/or school.
His attempt to ‘explain’ it made it even worse
He’s a train wreck
I still have no understanding why dems always have to “explain” their statements to the media, yet Trump just shrugs his shoulders & denies what he says or doubles down (depending on his mood presumably). Descriptive sentence on Trump in our press today
“What’s worrying about Trump is his unpredictability, his disregard for any boundary between truth and self-serving fiction, his unbridled narcissism, his instability, and his apparent desire to pursue his enemies with the tools of high office.”
If we in the US think Trump’s word keeps changing and you cannot rely on his word, wtf will other world leaders think about trusting our leadership?
Very little - but fortunately Trump is not going to win - wish we could bypass seeing & hearing him in the meantime.
Hello 99ts! Most Americans know very little about European history.
Not even WWII? Was that just the war between the US & Germany & Japan?
Testing new computer; lst world problems all day with it and the wireless (not completely f**ed up). This thread has put everything in perspective.
Good luck with all that CEB - I give all those problems to Mr 99 & yell loudly when he doesn’t instantly solve them.
I had the worst experience of my tech life when I called for HP support for help in setting up the wireless printer. It is currently sitting on my desk with broken pieces and papers stuck and sticking out of the uncovered back. I can deal somewhat with the language problems, but not people who read from a script and are unable to answer simple questions. In the process of trying to get a replacement. I had better luck with the computer and the first tech guy who was able to answer my question and went beyond that to actually download a few programs directly to my p c. Thanks everyone for the encouragement.
HP never recovered from she who wanted to rule the world.
I do so understand your angst, no idea how I would cope on my own with my computers. Still fighting microsoft to avoid downloading windows 10 - they use every sneaky trick that not even Donald Trump knows about.
Your computer is working, CEB! Good evening to ya :-)
Good compilation, NerdyW - thanks.
The Sharapova admission makes you wonder if this particular drug hadn’t been added to the banned list would her practice of taking something ‘for endurance’ have ever been forced into the light? Sports skeptic that I am, it never surprises me when a major athlete is caught taking drugs. I suspect most of them take drugs and aren’t caught because they can afford top doctors knowledgeable enough to stay a step ahead of the drug testing agencies.
Bibi & Co. already walking it back. So freaking tired of that POS:
“Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has canceled a trip to the United States, where he had planned to attend the conference of the pro-Israel lobby the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, AIPAC. The White House was outraged at the cancelation, after it was reported that among the reasons given for scrapping the trip was that it was not possible to schedule a meeting with President Barack Obama. According to the White House, Netanyahu was in fact invited to meet the president and the administration only learned of the cancelation through the media…..
….But an outraged White House claimed the opposite was true. Ned Price, the spokesman for the National Security Council at the White House, said that two weeks ago Netanyahu was offered a meeting with Obama on March 18. “We were looking forward to hosting the bilateral meeting, and we were surprised to first learn via media reports that the Prime Minister, rather than accept our invitation, opted to cancel his visit,” he said. “Reports that we were not able to accommodate the Prime Minister’s schedule are false.”Following the Americans’ angry response, sources at Netanyahu’s bureau clarified that the prime minister decided not to go to Washington at the height of the presidential primaries as U.S. presidential candidates from both parties were set to attend the AIPAC conference and had requested meetings with Netanyahu, something that could create the impression of intervention by the prime minister in support of one or another candidate. “We wanted to prevent such a situation,” a source at Netanyahu’s bureau said….continued”
Except during the 2012 Campaign & addressing Congress to try to undermine President Obama’s Iran deal…smh
“create the impression of intervention by the prime minister in support of one or another candidate”
what a lying asshole

heh, at least it’s better than murkan “football”.
Wow. This is childish and petty.
I hope VP Biden only visits President Rivlin tomorrow and blows off Bibi as double payback for when they announced new settlement construction as VP Biden landed in Israel several years ago. Would be poetic justice in my mind, Africa!

great Tweets….Don had mentioned the courage of the Selma marchers….
We do not need courage to vote in November…but we do need the will to do so
Amen, pf!
Sharapova has been taking this drug for ten years. Just about the time Serena started whipping her on the regular. If I was Sharapova and was taking a PED to help me beat Serena, and 5 years into it Serena had beaten me 9 or 10 times in a row, I’d figure it wasn’t working and stop taking it. Seriously, while most players that have commented are being polite and calling her “classy” for coming forward, most are saying that this is not just a simple mistake. With a high powered team of professionals, including doctors, this shouldn’t have happened.
‘With a high powered team of professionals, including doctors, this shouldn’t have happened.’
Unless of course the doctors were in on it, and the drug was a part of her training treatment.
Also too, IMO her coming forward in this manner is more a strategy to circumvent/minimize criticism than her being ‘classy’. I wouldn’t apply ‘classy’ to someone who has made disparaging, inappropriate comments about her opponent (without any provocation).
You’re right about that, VC. I was mostly referring to her team that should be on top of what drugs are currently on the banned list. No excuse. Maria may be the media darling, but she is not well liked on the tour. She is as nasty as they come. You’ll notice that none of her peers have rushed to her defense or to call her classy. Those that did were mostly former players and commentators. And all stated that she can’t claim ignorance. Just read that Nike dropped her.
/whispering/ The info I’ve seen about her, Dakota, I’ve seen here. I don’t follow sports, but whatever I’ve heard in the village has not painted a good picture of her. In truth, I tend to be somewhat suspicious of most, if not all, upper level athletes who have records that are too ‘super-human’. /shrug/ It seems if you wait long enough drugs/doping will eventually come to light.
As a sports fan: Dakota covers her ears “La La La La!!! I can’t hear you!!
:D :D :D That’s alright. Enjoy! Optimists + skeptics, both play a part.
“Apparently President Barack Obama takes his coffee with a splash of hipster cool. That’s because according to reports, POTUS is stocked up with the Chemex coffeemaker, a retro glass pour-over machine made in Massachusetts that’s popular with bean fiends who prefer to make things the old-fashioned way. The lab-inspired vessel is so beloved, the White House recently ordered 150 of them etched with a presidential seal, according to the Boston Globe. The Chemex coffemaker has been around since long before Obama brought his love of lattes to office: It was invented in 1941, and the design has barely changed. The simple glass beaker is so sleek and so iconic, it’s in the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art. Chemex is known for making a pure-tasting cup of coffee that’s impossible to over-brew. What’s more, the glass acts as both a brewing vessel and pouring pitcher in one….continued”
My first thought was why would anybody want to make their coffee with help from a company named “Chemex”? Ha.
Hush, JB….. I was channeling my inner hippie and thinking about purchasing one of these bad boys (until I found out there is like a 6-month waiting list) I think I found a better solution :)
Ha. Wouldn’t mind having one of ’em myself. But glad you found the “app” alternative - just sent that to my son who does “everything” via app, these days!
Paper filters, yuck! The method is now called pour over.
So paper filters are out, 57? I need to know these things so I can stay in the loop  I have a bunch of crap coffee places I know of near my home, so I usually by a box of Tazo Chai and make tea at home…sadly the best tasting coffee to me is Burger King’s Vanilla Iced Coffee…I love that for some reason :???:
Oh, we have a long road ahead to teaching you the wonders of good coffee, lp…………
Burger King’s vanilla iced coffee?!?! Is there any vanilla in it? Any coffee? Or do the ingredients read like a 9th grade science experiment?
 there is a little vanilla! For some reason I really like it. McDonalds has a similar flavor w/Seattle’s Best but w/ caramel and it makes me sick every time I’ve tried it. At Starbucks I only like the flavors they roll out during X-mas. I miss my favorite indie coffee shops at the University of Iowa and at Auburn University. I mostly down to pre-boxed Chai mixes or the Indian brands of Chai my folks drink, but they add ginger in all theirs :(
I love a good Indian chai - with ginger!
My mom basically puts an entire root in every cup…so overpowering  I love the Indian Chai-ginger…just a touch of sugar :)
Well, I went to the Clinton rally in Detroit but I couldn’t get there until a little after seven and joined the end of a rather long line. They closed the doors at about 7:30 because the venue was full. There was still quite a long line of people waiting outside. So I guess there was a good turnout. I will be voting tomorrow.
I remember in 2008 at a rally I attended this same time of year that Obama met with the crowd outdoors that could not fit into the arena prior to coming in to give his rally speech. The area was set up with speakers so that overflow group could hear his speech too. I heard that he continually did that anytime the venue was overcrowded.
I thought about that, and maybe it does speak to some flaws in the advance prep. They did ask for rsvps but probably lots more attended than actually rsvp’d. It was also dark and sprinkling. Some folks were disappointed; most took it in good part.
Thanks for the tweets, Nerdy!
First Lady Michelle Obama will be attending Nancy Reagen’s funeral Friday 3-11-16.
THIS IS WONDERFUL NEWS………………….AND SHOULD BE QUITE INTERESTNG…PERFECT ACTUALLY!
JG thanks for bringing this here.
my bad JoB!!
No problem - and glad I saw it to bring it here!

Congrats 99ts on your Sold Au :star:
Debbie W-S has gone mad. She’s not helping folks flock to Hillary, by her negative actions. First limiting the number of debates, then the open flack with the crazy vice chair, then this bad publicity. Not sure what her angle is, but she’s supposed to show impartiality and it’s anything but, from her.
There did seem to be another side to the story - well as I read it - but that still doesn’t excuse DWS - who has led the dems downward from day 1.
The audience appeared to be divided equally. I question the story.
Usual media beat up on Hillary - not that DWS helps any.
I trust DWS with abolsolutely nothing, but this story feels very contrived and I heard no such chatter on twitter. And I make myself listen to the b.s. there so I know what’s going on.
Great Tweets, NW. Thx a Bunch ;)

Not that I believed the previous CW re Dem turnout….2008 Coming off 8 years of GWB, historic candidates, and 5 candidates that were still in the race at this stage of the primaries. This year…two since Iowa.
Not to forget, many of them have been red states thus far.
At Secretive Meeting, Tech CEOs And Top Republicans Commiserate, Plot To Stop Trump: Karl Rove shared focus group findings that give hope to the GOP establishment. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/aei-world-forum-donald-trump_us_56ddbd38e4b0ffe6f8ea125d?2oz85mi
“Billionaires, tech CEOs and top members of the Republican establishment flew to a private island resort off the coast of Georgia this weekend for the American Enterprise Institute’s annual World Forum, according to sources familiar with the secretive gathering. The main topic at the closed-to-the-press confab? How to stop Republican front-runner Donald Trump. Apple CEO Tim Cook, Google co-founder Larry Page, Napster creator and Facebook investor Sean Parker, and Tesla Motors and SpaceX honcho Elon Musk all attended. So did Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), political guru Karl Rove, House Speaker Paul Ryan, GOP Sens. Tom Cotton (Ark.), Cory Gardner (Colo.), Tim Scott (S.C.), Rob Portman (Ohio) and Ben Sasse (Neb.), who recently made news by saying he “cannot support Donald Trump.” Along with Ryan, the House was represented by Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Fred Upton (Mich.), Rep. Kevin Brady (Texas) and almost-Speaker Kevin McCarthy (Calif.), sources said, along with leadership figure Cathy McMorris Rodgers (Wash.), Budget Committee Chairman Tom Price (R-Ga.), Financial Services Committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling (Texas) and Diane Black (Tenn.)….
…Philip Anschutz, the billionaire GOP donor whose company owns a stake in Sea Island, was also there, along with Democratic Rep. John Delaney, who represents Maryland. Arthur Sulzberger, the publisher of The New York Times, was there, too, a Times spokeswoman confirmed. A Politico spokesman refused to say whether publisher Robert Allbritton attended. Allbritton was on a list of people scheduled to attend last year’s conference. “A specter was haunting the World Forum-the specter of Donald Trump,” Kristol wrote in an emailed report from the conference, borrowing the opening lines of the Communist Manifesto. “There was much unhappiness about his emergence, a good deal of talk, some of it insightful and thoughtful, about why he’s done so well, and many expressions of hope that he would be defeated….continued”
Good to know….as they say “the company you keep” ….remember Hollywood is “Liberal” too.
GOP haven’t done so well with their secret meetings - apart from the fact that they always become un-secret.
THese three were at another secret meeting to make PBO a one term president. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), political guru Karl Rove, House Speaker Paul Ryan
Adding that Bill Kristol wants Trump out - seems that Trump will be the GOP nominee. Wonder if those great supporters of business freedom will vote for Trump anyway?
These fools can’t even make *hide their meeting before it takes place….I remember last week on Super Tuesday, Bob Costa, was already reporting a meeting of the Anti-Trump confab before it even took place the next morning!
I consider your tweets off your meds, Bill Kristol.
No-one could be as wrong as Kristol & continue to pronounce what will happen. Does he get paid or just live on inherited wealth?
I LOVE THIS MAN..HE IS SUCH A BLESSING TO ALL WHO MEET HIM!
I just saw this tweet - have to admit to LOL and ROFL

Hugs to you VC! :-)
So I might have to actually create a Facebook account if this happens
This past year Yahoo! had exclusive broadcast/streaming rights to 2/3 NFL games played in London, aired live at 9:00 a.m. EST and still got 9 million viewers.
Well, there ya go!
What a story! (And I’ve always loved her so much - seems like such a beautiful person, inside and out, who had to go through way too much at a young age, along with her children.)

JoJo, if you’re around, and can read this, thank you so much for the CA health info with which you responded to me on a few previous threads. Has anyone watched the Fox town hall?
And these evil people, like Mike Lee and Ted Cruz, claim to be pro-life and Christians? Although most sane people are currently more focused on Donald Trump, there are many other Republicans, like Senator Mike Lee and Presidential candidate Ted Cruz, who are just as evil as Donald Trump.

NIghtie-night! :-)
Via Pierce - question from the dem debate in Flint
“I want to ask both of you this question. I appreciate you responding to that question, but I want to ask both of you again. In a speech about policing, the FBI director James Comey borrowed a phrase from the Broadway show Avenue Q, saying, “Everyone is a little bit racist.” What racial blind spot do you have? Secretary Clinton, you first.”
So Bernie’s answer was rather a mess - but my question is why is this NEVER asked in a GOP debate. I want to see Trump, Cruz and Rubio have to answer this question. They will be more than “rather a mess”.
Because the GOP says we are in a “post-racial” society where there is no problem. Hence the voting rights laws, affirmative action, and every other policy that attempts to bring greater opportunity to people of color should be dismantled.
Do hope a large majority of Americans realise this Bill. The world may not well handle another GOP President - especially after PBO.
BACK TO ZZZZZ..FOR AWHILE…<3
Good Morning TODVille!
Happy Tuesday!
It’s funny. After using all their time the last 7 years trying to block and obstruct their President, the GOP villains now must spend all their time trying to block their current front-runner. Karma doesn’t forget! :D :D :D
Good one. You should bring it over to the next thread.
Morning!
