CHARLES BLOW IS ABSOLUTELY…CORRECT….PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY ARE LED BY FALSE PROMISES AND GREED…NOT HUMANITY AND COMPASSION! THEY HAVE TUMBLED OVER THE EDGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..IāM TIRED..HAVE A BLESSED NIGHT EVERYONE!
People may start to disassociate from Trump himself but they wonāt disassociate from the thought process he has tapped into. That is where they are making a poor choice. The GOP itself, the individual voters, still canāt see the dead end in their thinking. As hard as it is to stand up to that stinking thinking in others, I am grateful not to have to try and confront it in my own heart. I am very fortunate to have connected in such a positive way with the President and also with his supporters. The positive connection idea is reinforced every day for me because of the associations I have forged over the last seven years. What a blessing.
Awwww, you sure? JOāB and I really donāt mind making the lemonade; we would even be sure to have several umbrellas you can all sit under once you arrive at our rest station after your walk.
NoSpin, I actually did hike up two very low mountains - long enough time between the two for me to have forgotten the *STRESS* - and vowed *never again*. It was supposed to have been a *fun* group activity. The 2nd time convinced me that for me thereās more fun to be had reading a good book!
Belated birthday greetings, oh armchair nature-enthusiast. Sorry I missed out on the festivities, but I could barely keep up with PBO on his Cuba/Argentina trip last week.
The angle of this photo makes it look treacherous, but it looks like thereās handrails on the wooden (?) trail — many people industriously toiled to engineer and build that trail — kudos to them.
Also thereās only a couple of switchbacks which tells me itās not that steep — have hiked in Glacier National Park up many more switchbacks (south-facing mountain in August when it was about 100F) — man, was I glad to get to the “chalet” on top.
Hereās a belated BD present (which youāve probably already seen, but this is closer to my neck of the woods — and Iāve never heard of it before [shame on me]). Google maps tells me its 133 miles away, midway between San Luis Obispo and Bakersfield CA (south of the general area where James Dean had his fatal crash):
WOW! Spectacular wildflowers in full bloom at Carrizo Plain National Monument #California š¼ pic.twitter.com/4vghlGUw49
Thanks for the B-D wishes, Arapaho. Only this morning I was looking at my face in the mirror and thinking “Iām getting old”. š
Yes, I retweeted that wildflower picture earlier as it was so pretty. And, sorry no, even with handrails, switchbacks, or even elevators/escalators you wouldnāt get me anywhere near that hike, but you can go ahead and enjoy!
Not true at all! Iāll have you know that Iām/was a nationally certified Level 2 sports coach before I decided to step back. Well, okay I have very little interest in professional sports, so maybe you can exchange the shirt for something more accurate. [She says apprehensively as she wonders if she should just hang tight to her 1st amk gift in case the exchange gets lost somewhere.]
I really love him; with a look like the one heās wearing no words are needed.š š He always makes me laugh. I suppose I should also mentally commend the photographer who caught the look.
Back in the ā80s and early ā90s, there was a slang term we applied to the more refined, upper-class young ladies of our community ā BAPS. The letters of this acronym stood for Black American Princesses.
……………………………………………
Today, we are fortunate enough to have real, live, Black American princesses. They are Malia and Sasha Obama.
On television screens and social media time lines, we are treated to beautiful, professional pictures of our nationās āfirst daughtersā ā Malia and Sasha in Cuba, Malia and Sasha in designer gowns at their first state dinner, Sasha and her classmates strolling across the tarmac with Air Force One in the background like, āJust me and my girlfriends!ā
We are seeing images we never thought weād see ā little brown girls internationally adored and adorned.
When Barack Obamaās Black critics question, what has Obama done for us, specifically, this is what I sometimes point to. The Obamas have publicly provided us ā and others ā a social, cultural and political family model simply by them being them…
Is it just me? People are going nuts over the Assholeās #1 asshole assaulting the reporter. It was wrong for sure and if he gets convicted, thatās FINE WITH ME! But THE MAJOR ASSHOLE said REPEATEDLY he would aggressively TORTURE PEOPLE AND TARGET the enemyās CHILDREN. KILL THEIR CHILDREN. Then, somehow finally it gets pointed out to Asshole those things are ILLEGAL AND IMMORAL and??? āOh, well we need to change those rules.ā But weāve moved on! Americans have the shorter attention spans than an exhausted kitten.
Tim Wise also told Susan Sarandon off on his FB page:
“Jesus, seriously? People who think electing awful will trigger the revolution donāt know history, nor are they remotely logical. Revolutions NEVER spring from things getting worse…not once. They always result from things getting somewhat better and yet not as good as needs be…so with Trump, things will get worse, and people very much unlike Susan Sarandon will suffer, and people will turn to fascism as the answer, not progressivism…wake the hell up. Must be nice to not have to worry about what happens, either way…this is why I distrust and despise much of the white liberal/left..because they say stupid things like this…”

The results of a Trump presidency would likely be far less dramatic. They might just include the widespread persecution of undocumented immigrants, the appointment of Supreme Court judges who will jettison Roe v. Wade, the end of any federal action on global warming, and a ramping up of American war crimes. We certainly wonāt see any expansion of family leave or early education. Based on what weāve seen of Trump so far, we can expect him to use the powers of the federal government, including NSA surveillance, to target and humiliate his personal enemies, especially women. One thing, however, is sure. No matter what happens, Susan Sarandon will be just fine.
The naivety of Susan Sarandon, and all the Bernie Sanders loyalists she seems to speak for, is absolutely breathtaking! Do these “holier than thou, purity progressives,” who are preaching doom and groom, realize how better of this country is compared to where it was in 2008? Itās true that the Middle East is still a mess? But when was the Middle East, since the creation of the state of Israel, never a mess? Only people suffering from Amnesia think that the current situation is worse than it has ever been before!
LOL watching LOD on MSNBC and Dan Rather says he was not happy with PBOās assessment of the press and what they should be about and DR said donāt tell me about being a journalist and he wonāt tell PBO how to be president. I used too like DR but he is off his rocker like his friend Tom Brokaw. Then in the next breathe say how journalist have failed to cover DT by pointing out his lies just as PBO said. The 4th estate is not forsaken its responsibility it is just does not exist.
24×7 msm bashing by rwāers doesnāt bother the likes of dan rather but when the PBO speaks the truth, they all have collective butthurts. Fuckāem all.
Totally agree with you about both Dan Rather and Tom Brokaw. They need to retire to their horse farms. Itās a totally different world of journalism now - thereās some good and some bad in that part, but their comments no longer have any basis in CURRENT reality.
The President was right, and they canāt handle it. Same as always.
donāt tell me about being a journalist and he wonāt tell PBO how to be president
They have been telling PBO how to be president for years now and *he* hasnāt been whining about that. In fact, if they would do so in a professional manner PBO would have welcomed their analyses. They donāt get it. I donāt normally go there, but MO this Rather comment smacks a bit like ‘Who is this black guy to tell me about journalism?ā If Rather was being objective, heād admit that President Obama, given his own daily experience with the media AND his obvious intelligence, is exactly the person to be sharing his media insights!
Kasich is another fake-ass RWNJ, who probably has no friends. Probably invites people in his office over for parties - kinda like a command performance - because he has no friends. I mean would YOU hang with him? Uh no.
Every time Kasich calls a woman "young lady," I think he's going to offer her a nice Werther's hard candy.
The president always says what needs to be said. No more, no less. I canāt bring myself to open the article. Thatās how much I loath the reactions people have to the truth the President provides. Glad to see the push back though.
Dan Rather. I used to like the guy. He is very troubling these days. Canāt quite describe it. Sometimes people are never the same after they have been targeted in the way he was by the Bush administration. Or maybe he is not the person I always thought he was but something is definitely off with him.
The tweet above from Tim Wise is absolutely correct. The working theory of Revolution comes from a political scientist by the name of Jim Davies. he was my professor at the U. of Oregon back in the 60s. I took his class “Political Revolution”. A rich Hollywood actress like Sarandon likes to play in the drama of politics and play pretend with revolution. Real revolutions are often violent and brutal. And rich folk like her get taken down just like everybody else. Thatās why evolution beats revolution every time. Bernie is just a relic of the 60s radicals, pretending to be a revolutionary with his rhetoric and his Che Guevara posters. Heās an utter phony who is selling mirages.
Selling mirages. Thereās a lot of that to deal with and its exhausting. Just knowing the President is in office and inspiring us all to seek something integral and valid in each other and in the work we do for change is settling. God bless him for bringing an example of how this is all supposed to work when we work it.
My ten year old son has both an iPad and a laptop, and the crazy part is that he uses them at the same time. Iām like what are you doing, Day-Trading?
He may be a budding engineer. My son the engineer told me that maximizing efficiency one should have two devices open at the same time or at least two screens (as in the physical kind). Three or more not going to help efficiency but two is just right. See heās a genius, but you knew that already, right dad?
Iām not really into team building exercises at work, one minute we pretend to value each otherās opinion. And in the parking lot when Iām sitting in my car if you walk towards me Iām pretending like Iām looking for something just to avoid eye contact.
Itās about class, we should get over racism. What a bunch of racists ass idiots themselves.Speaks volume right there as to what these people are all about. How they can think someone like Trump or Cruz is better then Hillary. Sound to me the far left have some race issues too. They remind me of the far right. Thank you jazziz2 for posting this letter.

Congrats on 1st, Roberta!
Afternoon yawn.
Afternoon Sir!
COMING UP: Hillary Clinton (D) Campaigns in Green Bay, WI - http://abcnews.go.com/Live?stream=4
Watched her in Madison last night on the SCOTUS, pretty darned good. She nailed it and got a great ovation.
Yes, she was good.
And the GOPers called her out for making “SCOTUS” political!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and of course the media agreed with the GOP.

All of that damn rant !!!
He got that right. Thanks Chips for posting that. Canāt believe I came in on top. Wooot!!!
I like “the real estate developer” Nice. Yeppers some folks have lost their minds in the silly season.
One of my favorites from yesterday was the pic of when the Easter Bunny put his/her hand over his/her heart during the National Anthem!
Yeah, that was cute!

THIS PHOTO ALWAYS CRACKS ME UP…NO FURTHER COMMENT NEEDED…I LOVE MY PRESIDENT NO MATTER WHAT HIS EARS ARE DOING…THANK GOD HEāS A LISTENER!
Girllllllllllllllllllll are you crazyyyyyyyy????…..hahahahahaha…
no she is just full of white privilege ….
… and crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Her eyes went into another dimension when she said that. Ha! Go, Charles!
Iām wondering if this one may not be more rich privilege than white; blinded by her $$$$$ because the ‘revolutionā likely wouldnāt touch her.
i believe that if there is a destabilizing “revolution” everyone will be impacted….just like the crash of 2008….there is a ripple effect….
For sure, Pf, but some, like Sarandon, have cushions that many others lack so wonāt feel the pain as much.
Iām just of the impression that the LSD from her past is making its way into the present. Just say NO!!!!
this is not taken as seriously as it is….this is half of the states…

Anyone want to go for a walk? Iām prepare the after-hike lemonade/club soda & lemon juice.
š³ forgot to mention that I wonāt be able to join you as Iāll be getting the lemons ready.

I donāt mind walking on flat surfaces, but narrow and up or down a hill no thank you. Perhaps I could bring a light snack.
Oh, alright, though at this rate weāll have more food helpers and servers than weāll have hikers. š
I thought about going hiking once…..then I remembered you have to walk back down.
End of that thought.
You could slide down.
Just another thought.
lol
