Good morning TOD family. Alm of you helping to keep me sane and somewhat restrained. Grandkids visiting now so that helps too. Sitting in a wonderful children’s museum watching our future. Hope.

Good morning Ms. Chips, Danny and TOD family, I hope all is well with everyone this lovely Wednesday morning. Congrats df, on being first this morning.

Nerdy, thanks so much for helping Ms. Chips and for the sacrifices you’re making for us TOD’ers. 💫🙏👌👊❤

To all, I hope that in-spite of all the challenges and issues you face, you do not let it weigh you down, do not let it stop you from pursuing your visions, and do not let it stop you from seeking happiness and joy today. ❤ ❤ ❤

I am thankful to God that I lived to witness one of the greatest President of The United States of America in President Barack Hussein Obama ⭐🏆 ⭐🏆 ⭐🏆

Donald Trump is an Illegitimate president. Litigation that happens while he is in the WH is NOT valid.
Banning transgender military personnel is more ignorant attention-seeking provocation – all he is capable of doing.

    FROM ARTICLE:

“While McCain cast blame far and wide for the Senate’s shrunken status, he left no hint of subtlety in singling out the GOP leader’s secretive, zigzagging effort to draft the health-care bill.

“All we’ve managed to do is make more popular a policy that wasn’t very popular when we started trying to get rid of it,” McCain said, noting rising support for the 2010 Affordable Care Act. “I voted for the motion to proceed to allow debate to continue and amendments to be offered. I will not vote for this bill as it is today. It’s a shell of a bill right now.”

Despite this warning, McCain’s vote on Tuesday helped enable the broken process on health care that he came to the floor to decry. It allows McConnell to continue to circumvent the committee work and bipartisan negotiations McCain said represent the best of the Senate. A no vote would have forced leaders back to the drawing board, possibly into a bipartisan negotiation, but now, they will barrel ahead, possibly for weeks or months, on the Republican-only effort.”

He’s not a hero but a bully. He’s a celebrity seeking missile that cannot be trusted. Ask his first wife how much he honors his commitments. Can’t even remember how many houses he has so I am sure he very sensitive to the plight of those needing affordable anything such as health care. He’s got a terrible record on Veterans issues but is always wanting to bomb something. I can’t stand the man brain tumor and all.

LAST JUNE 2016: U.S. military to allow transgender men and women to serve openly:
“The Pentagon lifted a long-standing ban against transgender men and women serving openly in the military, removing one of its last discriminator hurdles and placing gender identity par with race, religion, color, sex and sexual orientation. The announcement by Defense Secretary Ashton Carter is part of a fundamental shift in the straight-laced, male-dominated U.S. military, which in 2011 ended discrimination against gays and lesbians. More recently, it opened all combat positions to women and appointed the first openly gay Secretary of the Army, Eric K. Fanning.”

Cantor comes clean, admits he didn’t believe his own ACA rhetoric
    07/26/17 11:26 AM—UPDATED 07/26/17 11:37 AM
    By Steve Benen

    …………………………………….

Asked if he feels partly responsible for their current predicament, Cantor is unequivocal. “Oh,” he says, “100 percent.”

He goes further: “To give the impression that if Republicans were in control of the House and Senate, that we could do that when Obama was still in office….” His voice trails off and he shakes his head. “I never believed it.”

He says he wasn’t the only one aware of the charade: “We sort of all got what was going on, that there was this disconnect in terms of communication, because no one wanted to take the time out in the general public to even think about ‘Wait a minute – that can’t happen.’ ” But, he adds, “if you’ve got that anger working for you, you’re gonna let it be.”

I don’t see Cantor having any regrets about the harm he was a part of. Just wanting the credit for the wool they pulled over other people’s eyes. As a Jewish person how can he be so casual about playing to hate. He is guilty of terrible deceit and corruption and perhaps will some day realize, maybe after he’s passed how cynical and harmful he actually was. Not President Obama. He will be lifted up for the sacrifices and compassion he has shown. He never has nor do I think he ever will be guilty of manipulation. Just too honorable and straight shooter, President Obama. God bless him for everything he is and has done.

Senate Republicans are floating a “skinny repeal” plan that would leave major parts of the Affordable Care Act intact while knocking out its mandates, but also allow the Senate to move a repeal bill to conference with the House if they can’t agree on a more comprehensive measure.

Four sources told POLITICO that the “skinny repeal” would involve rolling back the ACA’s individual and employer mandates. It also would repeal the ACA’s medical device tax, a revenue raiser that has been a major target of the device industry.

Republican leadership is broaching the skinny repeal as an option for senators who are wary of voting on Tuesday’s planned motion to proceed on an Obamacare repeal bill. If the motion to proceed is successful but the Senate’s replacement bill and a “straight repeal” of Obamacare — basically the Senate’s 2015 reconciliation bill — both fail as expected, the skinny repeal would be brought up as another option.

      • July 26, 2017 at 12:13 pm

Yes, I saw that. Goes back to them just wanting to pass *something*. I think Republican Senators who have been left out of the loop should be resentful and should feel that their “intelligence” is being insulted…being told to just vote without being told what they are voting on or being given the opportunity to know and understand what they will be voting on.

This whole process has been outrageous.

Hiya Dudette! You know, I remember days yonder when “freedom” was written in the singular. Then, I noticed a few years ago, politicians & media started using “freedoms”! My take on this was, “Freedom is freedom. There are no Mama & Papa Freedom with their little Baby Freedoms running around.” Why is freedom being spoken & written in the plural? My suspicion is that there’s a need to define then separate each aspect of freedom, then use those divided aspects for divide & conquer tactics. I’ve refused to utter the word “Freedoms”.

Cornyn noted that new Senate ideas — such as Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-Texas) amendment to let insurers sell plans outside of ObamaCare’s regulations and Sen. Rob Portman’s (R-Ohio) amendment to add $100 billion to help people losing Medicaid afford private coverage — could be included and could help pave the way for a deal in the conference committee.

“We use the template of the House bill that addresses all of these issues and come up with the best of the ideas we’ve developed, like the Cruz freedom amendment and the Portman negotiation on Medicaid and the wraparound, and all those would be live and could be used as part of a deal in the conference committee,” Cornyn said.

“So I think all we’re looking at is a way to get to that conference quick,” he added.

Sen. Mike Rounds (R-S.D.) likewise said Wednesday that passing the skinny bill would be a way to get to the conference committee, and would also buy time for the Congressional Budget Office to score the new proposals, including the Cruz and Portman amendments.

    From MaddowBlog:

    * In keeping with a recent string of state legislative special-election wins, Democrat Kevin Cavanaugh won a state Senate seat in New Hampshire yesterday, flipping a district that had been held by a Republican. This is, I believe, the fifth time this year a Dem has flipped a “red” seat in a state legislative special election.

I’ve got so much venom in me right now for these motherfuckers, all of them. From John McCain to Caitlin Jenner (this motherfucker) to Trump, always Trump. It is people like this that sometimes fuck up the progress that this country should be making. Yes, I’ve called my Senator and voiced my displeasure with the current events surrounding health care. How can we allow for a man that ducked out of serving his country to ban trans-people that want to serve their country, or that are already serving their country? Having never read “Dante’s Inferno” completely, I wonder which level of hell are we in now?

  70. 138 Don

It is a sad day for our country that we have to call our elected officials and “beg” them not to fuck over the little guy. We have to prostrate ourselves before them like they are gods or something. I’m almost looking forward to the day of judgement.

And then what really pisses me off is that Michelle Obama has to go on stage and relive the utter bullshit that she and her family had to endure all in the name of trying to give these ungrateful motherfuckers something. And every goddamn time Barack tried to throw theses motherfuckers a life preserve they showed him their asses. Yes, I can stop saying “motherfucker” but I’m not.
