GOP Playing into Obama’s Hands

The president went shopping at PetSmart today with his dog. He got him a chew toy. He didn’t get one for himself because John Boehner is already serving that purpose. The administration is putting Boehner through the wood-chipper.
Here’s the goal.
1. Make it clear to as many people as possible that the Republicans are so radical that they can’t govern their own caucus, let alone the country.
2. Destroy the Republicans strongest and only remaining brand advantage: tax cuts.
3. Split the Republicans into factions so that Mitt Romney doesn’t know how to answer simple questions about where he stands because there is no longer one talking point he can rely on.
4. Make the Republicans’ most powerful politician look like a fool and set him up to be cannibalized by his own backbenchers during the heat of a campaign.
I love the way they deployed the two TV screens in the briefing room with the countdown clock. Great optics. Added bonus, as booman states is that Romney couldn’t sound even the least bit decisive about responding. But hey, “Any President would have done that.” The DNC certainly has been putting out the great videos these past few months.
24Sass, Willard ”the flip flopper liar’ Romney is going to find out what the Hell’s Kitchen is all about. That is if he’s curse enough to be the GOP candidate. Willard said that any President could have made that decision, well the answer is any President didn’t make that decision to get Osama bin Laden, G.W. Bush had eight years to make the decision, he didn’t.
Romney knows he will never be president. It’s not his religion or evangelicals, the economy or his flip flops. He is a candidate in the party of HATE. All the optics are against him.
No, Willard would still be weighing his options-which way works best for me-go for it or play it safe. Hmm. Better wait until there’s absolutely no downside for me and there’s no chance I could be blamed for anything. Better yet, a living Bin Laden is a good excuse for war and a chance to funnel more money to defense contractors. Hmmm. Meantime, Bin Laden would have acquired more wives and several more children.
FB’d this link as well, love the point of view from other countries! Especially when the language is used so well… The quote from Boner in this piece makes me wonder what language he thinks he is speaking, and shows how less than nimble his thought process is! Wino.
I was actually really happy to see that Bo is still with him. Made his delayed vacation a little better - he’s got a friend in Washington, keeping him company.
1) Debbie Wasserman Schultz, as DNC chair, has produced the most rapid and effective spots I have ever seen for this party and the President hasn’t even officially begun a full-fledged campaign!
2) When 2012 rolls around VP Biden will finally be free to let loose (yes, I know that is fraught with peril but it’ll be okay ultimately) on the VP that emerges from the GOP clown show.
3) Mitt No Nothing Romney and Newt the Creature from Circa 1994 have never said their lying crap directly to the President’s face. When it comes to optics, Newt and Mitt have only been compared to each other and the rest of the clown show, so they look the most Presidential of that bunch. In the entire history of engineering, no bar has been set so low.
In 2012, they will have to directly speak to the President that presided over the end of Mubarak, bin Laden, Quaddaffi, 98 percent of al Quaeda leadership, Kim Jong Il and Glen Beck. The same guy who inspired and oversaw the most sophisticated political campaign in American history.
hold it i have to say something - we were just watching our local news on wcco and the newscaster was presenting the tax cut story and was totally telling it from the republican side - my husband called them and left a message telling them of his displeasure at their one-sidedness. w00t ! my husband rocks!
Hi a4alice, please tell your husband thank you so very much. Those are the actions that set us apart from others out there. Every ‘call out’ for corrections and presenting the facts will make a huge difference in this election. Thank you for sharing with us.HZ
Beautiful ad!!! Please pray for me, but I can’t stand Willard. I feel disgusted when I see him and hear him. I really do not like this man at all. He tries to copy POB and that disgusts me. He does not seem to have a ‘core’ to pull from within. That is an awful sign in a person who is trying to be a leader of the free world. Williard can’t even touch an inch or even less than that 1/16 of an inch in POB’s smallest toe when it comes to character. When a man outright lie in front of the world, there is not that sure and goodness of a core in him.
He is a power greed person IMO. I have no use for a person like that. And he talks about leadership? Oh, well, so much for Willard.
I love my POTUS and I will do everything in my being to help get him reelected next Nov.6,2012. When Sec. Robert Gates spoke those words after the mission, they were beautiful music to my heart. I love and highly respect Sec. Gates, and his words have so much more merits than Willard’s will ever have when it comes to speaking about President Barack Obama.HZ
Maybe there’s a reason Mitt don’t talk much about his religion. Most religion that I heard of speaks of thou shall not lie. It is clear Mitt’s religion have nothing about lying or maybe Mitt just ignores it, because Mitt lies so easy, and just about every time he opens his mouth he is lying.
We all have to ask forgiveness because Willard evokes a gut-deep sense of dislike like all truly phoney people do. I thought McCain was incompetent and too temperamental to be president; GW Bush was immature and truly not smart enough; Bob Dole was a decent guy but couldn’t connect with people; George H W Bush was stiff and ruthless; and Reagan I just couldn’t stand. But Romney is the phoniest of the phoney. He just sets off vibes that he is a soulless man, as harsh as that sounds.
Personally I got no hate for Romney. I don’t want him anywhere near the White House but there’s something comical about a guy who’s been running for President for 5 years and is so craven that he’ll flip flop on all of his previously stated positions. The really funny part is he thinks nobody is noticing it.
We all have to pray for each other.. as it seems to be a shared response to this man. Reading your comment, HZ, I ponder that it seems many of us feel unusually repulsed by this romney, and uncharacteristically respond from the gut, in a negative way. In contrast, PBO brings out joy, light, and a palpable sense of optimism and faith in people; just look at the faces of the crowds he met today: there are no frowns, no aggravated or hostile looks, just folks genuinely excited and responding to his genuine and non-egotistical way of being. Call it like you see and feel it, instinct has kept us alive all this time. Intuition is developing in the human race, finally, and Barack Obama is as fine an example of conscious humanity as we have ever seen. And he is a teacher, a father, a loving faithful husband, as well as a strong leader. His call on OBL, that was more than luck, his intuition did not fail him, nor will it fail us. People just don’t know how to speak about it yet, but it is coming into reality. Human development is a slow process. You take care, don’t let that bad energy sap your peace of mind, okay?
You’re so right. What I saw in President Obama’s interaction with people on the street - including the guy who disagreed with a yet-undetermined decision on the pipeline - was that each person called him “Sir” and was respectful, and yet familiar. Everyone felt like they could be natural, casual, easy, smiling, positive and optimistic. They were nervous - who wouldn’t be, when confronted with the machinery that follows the President, but they were also happy and familiar. Who could be otherwise when in front of such a light-hearted person.
‘Night Chips, g’night everyone… Winter Solstice comes in in another 22 minutes, we are in the deepest part of it, now we turn the corner! Thank you, everyone.
I always think about how terrified early man must have been to see the sun disappear for so long on the Solstice. No wonder they thought the sun died in the winter because of something they had done. With no light at all except small fires against the all consuming darkness, it’s no wonder many were suspicious and fearful. Maybe that fear is so built into our DNA that ugly politicians can still call up the boogeymen for many Americans.
On a more serious note, check out this CNN Breaking News Alert:

Bank of America will pay $335 million to settle federal claims that its Countrywide unit discriminated against minority borrowers, Justice Department officials announced.
Attorney General Eric Holder said a federal probe found discrimination against 200,000 qualified African-American and Hispanic borrowers from 2004 to 2008 during the height of the housing market boom. He said minority borrowers who qualified for prime loans were steered into higher interest rate subprime loans.
Bank of America purchased Countrywide in 2008 for $4 billion in a deal that made the bank the nation’s leading mortgage lender at the time. The deal closed in July 2008 ahead of the meltdown in financial markets that fall.

The world is not always level or fair. Romney lives in a bubble, a land of fanciful whimsy. At the height of the housing boom, buyers of color were turned away. Racism is real and it has a tangible impact with grave consequences in the lives of people everyday. The ill informed and inartfully stated comment by Mr. Romeny’s goes to show you that he is all about inciting an emotional response. I commend the Attorney General’s office for aggressively pursuing this case, at the outset Mr. Holder said the office will be committed to bringing criminals to justice wherever they may be including in a corporate boardroom.
Former Colin Powell Chief of Staff Lawrence Wilkerson told MSNBC’s Ed Schultz Wednesday that President George W. Bush wasn’t interested in bringing Osama bin Laden to justice.
“I don’t think they really wanted to get bin Laden,” Wilkerson said.
“You could be very cynical and say he didn’t want to get him because once they got him the war was over and that left all the political advantage gone,” he added. “Or you could say that they knew that it was almost an impossibility to get him given what they had done to the intelligence and other aspects of the government that you needed to get him. They just about ruined it.”
Watch this video from MSNBC’s The Ed Show, broadcast May 11, 2011.
Or you could say that as GWB and OBL were good buddies, finding him and bringing him to justice on behalf of all those who died, suffered, and continue to suffer as a result of 9/11, well, good buddies look the other way, right?
More excellent work from the AWESOME Obama Administration. this week:
Vilsack, Sebelius Unveil Progress Report from President Obama’s Food Safety Working Group
http://obamafoodorama.blogspot.com/2011/12/vilsack-sebelius-unveil-progress-report.html
“President Obama established the Federal Food Safety Working Group (FSWG) in 2009 in the midst of a massive Salmonella outbreak in peanut butter. It is co-chaired by Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, and coordinates interagency food safety efforts between USDA, CDC, HHS, and FDA. Today, Vilsack and Sebelius unveiled the Food Safety Working Group Progress Report {PDF}, which details the government’s efforts to make America’s food supply safer. It comes at the end of a year that had record levels for food recalls and foodborne illnesses…
The Secretaries touted the implementation of elements of the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act, signed into law by President Obama in January of 2011 (a summary of the legislation is here). The release of the Report today is also designed to urge consumers to practice better food safety protocols at home during the holidays, by following four steps designed to mitigate the spread of foodborne disease. America’s foodborne disease outbreaks and recalls are not the result of the carelessness of home cooks, it should be noted.
The Progress Report “shows that this Administration has delivered substantial results in the area of food safety. These include stricter standards to prevent contamination of food with dangerous bacteria, stronger surveillance to detect contamination problems earlier, and more rapid response to illness outbreaks…”
Lots more great info in the article. Definitely worth the read.
“Ford O’Connell, a Republican strategist, also expressed frustration that despite his party’s spending victories this year, they enter 2012 risking a voter backlash.
“The White House is winning the spin wars,” O’Connell said. “The White House message that Republicans are the party of Wall Street and the rich is gaining more ground than any message the Republicans have.
“I think it is going to be more difficult for the Republican Party than the Democratic Party next year because the spin coming out of the White House is that the Republicans are unwilling to compromise. If the Republicans don’t sharpen their message, they could suffer at the ballot box.”
“A Pew Research Center survey released last week found that by nearly a 2-to-1 ratio, 40 percent to 23 percent, voters said Republican leaders are more to blame that Democratic leaders for what the pollsters called the “do-nothing Congress.”
A Reuters-Ipsos poll this month found voters favor a generic Democratic candidate for Congress over a Republican one, 48 percent to 42 percent.”
What these people fail to understand is this President is more concern about helping those people who will be hurt by this tax increase, and unemployment benefits stopping. He really does care. The Republicans only care about the rich.
Sure, this is all about messaging according to this guy, not acting on behalf of Americans. As long as you say it right, you can cheerfully mess up everybody’s lives. I wish there was a very dark place these people would go to for an indefinite stay.
There is such a place, Jackie, and they are heading there fast! Many of them are already in that dark place in their minds, they just don’t know it. The greatest sin is separation: thinking we are different from, or better than others, that everyone’s needs are bit the same, and placing ourselves before others. Seems that is how these dark minded ones live their lives, grasping, greedy, taking from the many to the comfort and indulgence of the few.
WASHINGTON (Dow Jones)-President Barack Obama will meet Thursday with people whose taxes will go up $40 per paycheck if Congress fails to extend a payroll-tax cut, part of an effort to break an impasse that has threatened to affect some 160 million Americans.
The president will talk about what’s at stake in the latest deadlocked debate over the tax cut and “will be joined by Americans …
That should be the slogan of Mario Draghi, the president of the European Central Bank.
In recent weeks, the new president publicly insisted the central bank would never do any of the things that Germany opposed. The bank would not drastically step up its purchases of Spanish and Italian government bonds. It would not directly finance European governments. It would not backstop European rescue funds or print money that the International Monetary Fund could use to bail out governments.
It would do only what central banks normally do. It would lend to banks.
It turns out that may be enough to stem the European crisis for at least a few years, and go a long way to recapitalizing banks in the process.
That fact only became clear on Wednesday, although Mr. Draghi announced his intentions on Dec. 8, when the central bank said it would offer to lend money to banks for three-year terms, in unlimited amounts, at a very low rate.
This ad is absolutely devastating. The flip flopping liar Mitt Romney just got his arse handed to him. He says we need a president who is a leader and he can’t even make a decisive statement about the GOP debacle with the tax cut. It’s not that complicated. But when you have no core, wishy washy is what you get.
Does anyone know how the “promoted” who to follow on Twitter are chosen? Every damn day Twitter is suggesting I follow Mitt Romney. If I did I would end up in two different places. Just curious…
White House has gotten more than 17,000 responses to the campaign aimed at pressuring House Republicans to pass a two-month extension using the twitter hash tag #40dollars.
Good Morning Chips and TOD…before I head out to work I have to get this off my chest.
This bunch of characters in the Republican Party are the most callous people to ever grace the halls of Congress. I have heard from people on Facebook, relatives around the country and right here on this blog that the Republican sound machine is in full force all over the country lying to the public (especially local news stations) on this Payroll tax cut. The public gets to see a clip of them saying that “they want a full year tax cut not a 2 month deal” as if the timing of this deal is the only thing holding this deal up. They make no mention of all the poison pill riders that they want to get in exchange for giving the middle class a small tax break and the media in markets all over the country are being completely complicit with this.
Thank you to all who are pushing back when you see this with phone calls, tweet and emails. They need to know that this time we see their chicanery and will call them out on it every time.
Regardless of how this turns out and yes I think the Republicans will take the ultimate blame for not accepting the Senate bill this whole exercise is just another method by which the Republicans want to try and slow this economy down. Not just in the obvious way of keeping these dollars out of the pockets of average workers but also to give pause to those intending to shop for Christmas this week.
So many people of less means financially wait until the final week before Christmas to get the best deals or to see what little they have to work with financially for the holiday to shop. Hearing all this uncertainty about loss income starting in January just makes them hesitate to spend (justifiably so). Its just all part of a grand plan to slow things down simply because there have been promising economic indicators of late. The Repubs are just waiting for PBO to get on that plane so that they can pass this thing in the final hours and hit the airwaves with their talking points.
Its a shame but it is all a game to them. They could care less about any of us and nothing angers me any more than to hear frustrated people throw Dems in with the Republicans and state that ALL of Congress is broken and both sides are bad. Its NOT! My Party might be dyfunctional as hell but we care unlike those NUTS on the right who constantly give us a big ole SCREW YOU on a daily basis.
Keep up the good fight everyone and have a good productive day!
Excellent comment Donna. We have watched the Repub machine enough to know exactly what they will do even before they do it. Watch what they do to their own Presidential candidates. They are callous, disgusting, and could care less about the people in this country. A good offense is the best defense so we need to keep our eye on the prize and stay informed.
Spot on. Let’s all try and push back in whatever way we can, be it FB, twitter, email, convos with friends, neighbors, family. The RW are ruthless in every way. PRESS ON.
In a few weeks, when republicans make all sorts of difficulties about the full year extension of the tax cuts, they will expose themselves more. More and more people are waking up to their games. Not as fast as we would like, but it’s happening.
I hope President Obama will forcefully push back against the spin today, and shame the media for their being complicit.
I wish all this craziness we are seeing and will be seeing in 2012 will not only completely discredit the GOP but also discredit their media enablers.

Much Bigger Problems Await Congress Next Year
“The brinksmanship in Congress over a payroll tax-cut extension may end up looking like a quaint disagreement by next December, when lawmakers must grapple with a fiscal policy debate at least 25 times more costly,” Bloomberg reports.
“Unless Congress acts by the end of 2012, income tax cuts will expire, automatic reductions in defense and domestic spending will start and the alternative minimum tax will ensnare millions more taxpayers. The same Congress that can’t find a way to extend the widely supported payroll tax cut beyond Dec. 31 will be seeking to bridge long-held ideological differences.”
// In comments that could boost President Barack Obama’s standing with Jewish voters, Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak lavished praise on the president Thursday, commending him for being “ready to undertake the fiercest of political risks to his survival, in order to make good on what he believes in” and defending him against those who call him a “soft appeaser.”
“You may not like what he does (but) you discern a man who is capable and ready to undertake the fiercest of political risks to his survival, in order to make good on what he believes in,” Barak told Israel Radio, according to Reuters. //

HEADLINE: Payroll Tax Backlash Follows GOP Home To Districts
// Everyone knows House Republicans endured tremendous punishment all day Wednesday, making it clear to most observers that in the standoff over renewing this year’s payroll tax cut, they’ll have to blink. But an even more important story, which escaped notice inside the Beltway, is that the lashings followed GOP members of Congress back to their states and districts.
Here’s a roundup. //
“I never read that stuff. I was probably aware of it ten years after it was written and it’s been going on 20 years that people have pestered me about this and CNN does it every single time. So when are you going to wear yourself out?”

Good demagoguery gone bad
There was an encouraging sign yesterday that John McCain’s creeping senility can in fact bob and weave, as demonstrated in his shockingly lucid criticism of his House counterparts’ refusal to extend the payroll tax cut:
It is harming the view, if it’s possible anymore, of the American people about Congress.
Sadly, however, John’s sudden improvement seems to have come at the cost of Eric Cantor’s acute slippage:
[T]he people of this country are beginning to wonder about the body on the other side of this Capitol and are wondering what the leader over there has against the middle class of this country.
Now, now, Eric, you know better. You know that populist, insurrectionist rumblings are rarely if ever ignited over what half of one-third of a government is doing at the tyrannical behest of its bourgeoisie-despising majority leader; assuming, even, that you, Eric, could make such a preposterous rap stick.
And then this morning, old man McCain said that the President needs to show more leadership then going shopping.
That word leadership better not stick, as all Republicans use this analogy!
American forces acted in self-defense and responded “with appropriate force” in a late-November strike that killed two dozen Pakistani forces and further eroded tensions between Washington and Islamabad, according to a U.S. military investigation.
A monthlong investigation, however, found that poor coordination between U.S. and Pakistani forces, as well as inaccurate map data, played a role in the incident.
The U.S. military has completed a much-anticipated investigation into the strike on a checkpoint along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border that found American forces did not intentionally target Pakistani forces, the Pentagon said in a statement early Thursday.

Last Call

Mitt Romney knows that there’s only a short step for Republican primary voters between calling for the deportation of President Obama’s uncle to calling for the deportation of President Obama, and that’s exactly why he’s opening his mouth on this birther surrogacy issue.
Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney on Wednesday joined Reps. Lamar Smith (R-TX) and Steve King in making political hay out of the August arrest of President Barack Obama’s uncle on DUI charges.
Romney — who’s been getting hammered by Democrats over his “for Pete’s sake” response to a previous question on immigration — didn’t seem to know what Boston radio host Howie Carr was talking about when he brought up Onyango Obama’s arrest during an interview, ABC reports. “Who is Uncle Omar, Howie?” Romney asked.
Once Howie explained, Romney said “the answer is ?yes.’”
“Well, if the laws of the United States say he should be deported, and I presume they do, then of course we should follow those laws,” Romney said, according to ABC. “And the answer is ?yes.’”
Didn’t PBO say he wouldn’t intervene when this came up a while back about a woman who is part of his African family and lives in New England? Or maybe I have that all wrong. This man is the half-brother of PBO’s father. I wonder if they’re ever even met. Desperate GOP nonsense.
Everyone, PLEASE take the time to respond to the email from Julianna Smoot asking us to send a note wishing the Obamas well in 2012. This is important!!

Worst Kasich Scenario, Part 2
Posted by Zandar
Ohio Republican Gov. John Kasich is bound and determined to drive his approval numbers down into the dirt, it seems. This week, he’s given Ohio women a lovely holiday gift: banning Ohio’s state insurance exchange from offering any plans that cover abortion.
House Bill 79, which would prohibit insurance plans participating in a yet-to-be created state health exchange or marketplace from providing abortion coverage, was among 13 bills Kasich signed this morning. They were passed last week during the legislature’s final session days of 2011.
“Ohio is witnessing historic gains in legislation that protects mothers and saves unborn babies,” said Mike Gonidakis, executive director for Ohio Right to Life.
The new federal health-care law requires states to have an exchange in place by 2014 to give consumers and small businesses a place to shop and compare policies. Gonidakis said the federal health-care law allows states to opt out of abortion coverage.
Ahh, but there’s a catch: the ACLU is eager to challenge the law, based on Issue 3 that passed in the state last month:

Based on the reporting in this Yahoo News piece, Mitt Romney hasn’t been doing any legwork whatsoever in South Carolina. He has one office and three paid staffers working in the state. It makes me wonder what the hell he is doing with his money advantage. He traveled to South Carolina last Friday to receive the endorsement of the governor, but his overall level of endorsements in the Palmetto State has plummeted in comparison to four years ago:
The most telling sign of the uphill battle Romney faces in South Carolina is the skepticism he faces among many leading Republicans who backed his bid four years ago. At this point in the 2008 campaign, Romney had announced more than 100 endorsements among key public officials, political operatives and fundraisers in the state. By comparison, he has announced fewer than 10 endorsements in the state, including [Gov. Nikki] Haley’s, this year. And many of his key staffers from 2008 remain neutral.
Meanwhile, Newt Gingrich, who truly has no money to speak of, has nearly four times as many paid staffers in South Carolina.
First!
you cute kitty kat you!

This video almost makes the top of the DNC list, but for whatever is next - since they keep getting better and better!
I agree, the DNC has been on the ball getting the ads out to debunk the pubbie lies. Mitt is going to find out what Hell’s Kitchen is all about.
Now if they could only get rid of the D is for drive = Democrats. They should have a new campaign “D” is for decisive Democrats.
24Sass, Willard ”the flip flopper liar’ Romney is going to find out what the Hell’s Kitchen is all about. That is if he’s curse enough to be the GOP candidate. Newt won’t go after Mitt’s lies, but the Obama campaign will. And we will see how tough the little rich boy is.
Beautiful! And it’s wonderful to see all the Democrats acting together.
Yes it is.
Good Night, Chips…thanks for all the work you do
Great video Chipsticks and nintendowii10!
Romney knows he will never be president. It’s not his religion or evangelicals, the economy or his flip flops. He is a candidate in the party of HATE. All the optics are against him.
And so it will go viral! Amen!
Amen, Amen, Pamela.

I loved the video. I shared it on Twitter & Facebook. I will also share it on Google+.
This video is absolutely, positively THE BEST. AD. EVER.
prezinent willard would have ordered the raid and then called back the team just when they entered the pakistan. flip-flop.
Love this ad Chips, although my blood pressure went up a couple of notches when I saw Romney. I absolutely detest this liar and flipflopper
COS I am right with you. Romney is a bold face liar. And I can’t stand him.
He never would have ordered that raid. All his advisers are Bush/Cheney retreads that have botched everything they’ve touched.

Yes! First, I’m giddy about it. And then I want to cry, because I’m so proud of President Obama I could burst!
It sure will be E.P.I.C!
Finally, the DNC has realized that this is a boxing match with so many critical things at stake, they are putting some gloves. YES!!!!
I can’t wait.
hold it i have to say something - we were just watching our local news on wcco and the newscaster was presenting the tax cut story and was totally telling it from the republican side - my husband called them and left a message telling them of his displeasure at their one-sidedness. w00t ! my husband rocks!
OK

Hi a4alice, please tell your husband thank you so very much. Those are the actions that set us apart from others out there. Every ‘call out’ for corrections and presenting the facts will make a huge difference in this election. Thank you for sharing with us.HZ
Tell “Mr. alice” THANK YOU!!!! That’s how to do it
a4alice, to keep up the good work.
a4alice, I meant to say, tell your husband to keep up the good work.
rock on friends!
The video is spot on!!
HZ, I have to ask for forgiveness also. I agree 100% with you.
I agree 100%. He’s a shapeshifter from Stepford. It’s creepy.
Tally, the shapeshifter term is the best ever. Wish that would go viral as THE word for Willard.
He just sets off vibes that he is a soulless man, as harsh as that sounds.
he is a human cipher with absolutely NO CORE.
Plouffe nailed that one with precision.
Personally I got no hate for Romney. I don’t want him anywhere near the White House but there’s something comical about a guy who’s been running for President for 5 years and is so craven that he’ll flip flop on all of his previously stated positions. The really funny part is he thinks nobody is noticing it.
Meh!!! I’m trying to LIKE this post, and it says I’m not signed in - when I clearly AM!
KHHAAAAAAN!!!!
AWESOME video, DNC. BRAVO. Yes we can, people!!

The Obamas are so considerate of others and they think of everything. thanks for sharing Meta.
Thanks Meta, enjoyed the video.
This. You said it just beautifully, Pamela.

Memories…

Most excellent video! Thanks for dding that.

Re: Messaging

Re: Polling

Lol! It’s Ron pauls turn, and morning Joe says he has a lot of wacky ideas.

Does anyone know how the “promoted” who to follow on Twitter are chosen? Every damn day Twitter is suggesting I follow Mitt Romney. If I did I would end up in two different places.
Just curious…
“Promoted” tweets are like paid advertising. The sponsor is paying for their placement. It’s the only way Mittens can be noticed.
ok good. I was hoping it wasn’t Twitter pushing him on us.
THIS and more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks, Donna. Blessed day to you.
Right on Donna!
PRESS ON.
YES!!!
w00t Donna!
Well said, Donna Dem, you speak for many of us…. Hope having said this, your day goes beautifully! Follow the Light!
Reminder: PBO will make a statement on the payroll tax issue today at 12:15 Eastern.
Looks like PBO tweeted this himself yesterday!

You know that populist, insurrectionist rumblings are rarely if ever ignited over what half of one-third of a government is doing at the tyrannical behest of its bourgeoisie-despising majority leader; assuming, even, that you, Eric, could make such a preposterous rap stick.
http://pmcarpenter.blogs.com/p_m_carpenters_commentary/2011/12/good-demagoguery-gone-bad.html

This is the kind of petty politics that most americans despise. Romney isn’t getting any points from independant voters with this.
