Congrats, Axel! Feeling somber in Oregon after yesterday’s primary. However, Bernie will not get many more delegates than Hillary and is still feeding the delusions (and angry behavior) of his supporters. A contested convention would be a shitshow and only help TRUMP. Ugh!
I’m very disappointed in Oregon Sen. Jeff Merkley condoning this behavior with his silence. His own colleague, Sen. Barbara Boxer was the target of some terrible abuse. Nothing from Jeff.
Perhaps the rules need to be changed so that anyone who is not a Democrat, cannot run on the Democratic ticket for President. Also, get rid of the caucuses and limit voting in primaries to those who are registered as Democrats. Sanders has never been a Democrat and doesn’t appear to care about how his behavior (and that of his supporters and spokespersons) may end up damaging the Democratic party and lead to a Trump presidency.
Totally agree pkd! They should say you have to have been a member for a minimum of 2 years and worked as an elected Dem or party organizer for immediate 2 years preceding candidacy for Presidential nominee.
Technically, the “founding fathers” - I think - wanted any “citizen” to be able to run, with or without political experience or party affiliation. Obviously, sometimes that doesn’t work out to the good!
Isn’t this the Republican response to just about anything PBO proposes? I mean, they said the same thing about Obamacare, that it would be an absolute disaster for the economy. And they were totally wrong about that program’s effect on the economy. I think if they ever actually analyzed something instead of just spouting off at the mouth that I would be totally amazed.
