This Poet Has Some Pretty Dope Parting Words For President Obama

Dear President Obama,
“N***a you ain’t s**t!”
That’s how some people feel, but for us, it’s the opposite.
Those are the opening lines of a poem dedicated to the impending exit of the 44th President of the United States. Brooklyn poet, hip-hop artist and activist Moise Morancy took to Facebook last week to share parting words for President Obama, filled with admiration for the legacy our current POTUS will undoubtedly leave behind. Morancy’s dedication serves a dope send-off, noting that Obama’s time in office has inspired him and a legion of other young black people to strive for their dreams:

Glad I clicked on even though the opening title (the poet quoting others who have said this and immediately begins to refute it) almost caused me to ignore it. Young Black men being imbued with pride and possibilities through PBO’s example, is what the racists have feared. This fear is being demonstrated by the bounty on young black men that is an open all-out attempt at genocide.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has announced that China’s currency, the yuan, will join the fund’s basket of reserve currencies.
Currently just the US dollar, the euro, the yen and the pound are in the group.
The IMF said the yuan “met all existing criteria” and should become part of the basket in October 2016.
IMF chief Christine Lagarde said it was “an important milestone in the integration of the Chinese economy into the global financial system”.
She added it was also a recognition of the progress that the Chinese authorities have made in the past years in reforming China’s monetary and financial systems.
The yuan will now make up part of the IMF’s Special Drawing Rights (SDR) - an asset created by the IMF which serves almost as a currency.
