what a racist and sexist asshole and I will NOT apologize
GOP Rep. Louis Gohmert: Pelosi’s face on golf balls will put `oomph’ into your game
This is pathetic. Rep. Pelosi has more class than he will ever have. This guy is racist slime.
It is just pitiful the folks that are in the Republican Party. They are racists and they don’t care who know it.
anniebella, I have sent Chipsticks a number of emails and I have never hear back. Pamela is wanting to get in touch about trouble she is having on the site. Is the address still firstname.lastname@example.org?
Yes. Chipsticks may be swamped with work since blackwaterdog has left a hole in the pro-Obama diaries.

VIDEO: Sarah Palin Tells ThinkProgress ‘Mitt Romney Was Right’ That Corporations Are People
Alabama Congressman Defends Big Oil Tax Breaks To Angry Constituents
If Mittens is right that “Corporations are people” then he and his Bain Capital buddies should be charged for the murder of all those companies they killed.
Last night he said it was too fast.
Good grief, dorothy. Those clowns are such idiots! Even Joe Scarborough called Bachmann a joke and she’s second below Mitt Romney as
“top contender”. Romney has always appeared to me to be a cardboard cutout of a man, butt he never stops running — the republicans’ Great White Hope.
Put Gohmert’s face on toilet paper and I’m buying stock in exlax. I’d eat that stuff like candy just to be able to wipe my ass with his face – over and over again.
That is hilarious StR!
😆 😆 😆
Oh StR! 😀
Good one StR….someone needs to tweet that to Gomer Pile-a-S…t!
Awwwww, poor dumb Louie… I guess a man who has no balls will always envy those who do. 😉
Every time I hear or read Gohmert’s name I think immediately of Gomer Pyle. Unfortunately for us all, Louis Gohmert both looks and sounds like Gomer Pyle. I mean he’s Gomer Pyle on steroids. How did an absolute jackass like Gohmert ever get elected?
PBO loves the welcome events for the sports teams. Congrats Packers.
Donna just posted this on FB re Scott Brown.
I hope that dirt bag loses in 2012. I really do not think Elizabeth wants to be a politician. She is a doer and I think she would be frustrated with how difficult it is to do anything. She says teaching is what she loves.
So, do any of you know of someone besides Vicky Kennedy who might be interested in running? There has got to be someone. I cannot stand Brown. Smarmy little toad.
Great, now are we marching in September or not, guys? I mentioned it a couple of times…..all it takes is FB, akin to those so-called flash mobs. Just show up with signs, as congress critters return to work. It can’t be too hard to get together on a vacation day.
And so do I COS! It’s always great to see the teams interact with POTUS. Plus it gives the teams a chance to give back while in DC. A win/win situation.
GOP Scrambles To Blame S&P Downgrade On Democrats
When Standard & Poor’s downgraded America’s credit rating from AAA to AA+, they cited the tenuous reliability of our nation’s political system. They even took the unusual step of calling out congressional Republicans for their absolute refusal to consider revenue increases as part of a debt-reduction solution. Yet the same Republicans who spent the months leading up to August 2nd playing a dangerous game of chicken with our nation’s fiscal solvency are now trying to wash their hands of the outcome, deciding instead to blame President Obama and the Democrats for the downgrade. They’re also arguing that the passage of a balanced budget amendment would have prevented the downgrade, even though a day after the announcement S&P Managing Director John Chambers stated without equivocation that a balanced budget amendment would hurt, not help, the government’s ability to respond to the fiscal crisis.
Media Matters should have ample footage of Fox hosts and guests claiming that a default wouldn’t be a big deal, that the Dems were fear mongering and and a default is really a good thing.

After Cheering For Economically Harmful Default, Bolling Laments Potential Effects Of “Downgrade”

After Triggering Downgrade, Debt Default Skeptics Try To Run From Their Records — But They Can’t
Standard & Poors has a specific justification for downgrading the U.S. bond rating, and it’s deadly for Republicans. It wasn’t just that Congress showed itself to be reckless and dysfunctional, or that the GOP shows no sign of ever ending their anti-tax jihad. It’s that for a period of weeks, some lawmakers (read: Republicans) were quite literally shrugging off the risks of blowing past the August 2 deadline, running out of borrowing authority, and missing payment obligations.
“[P]eople in the political arena were even talking about a potential default,” said Joydeep Mukherji, senior directior at S&P. “That a country even has such voices, albeit a minority, is something notable,” he added. “This kind of rhetoric is not common amongst AAA sovereigns.”
If John Boehner (R- Wonka Factory) got 98% of what the GOP wanted, then what they wanted was not effective. That’s because they DID get what they wanted and it only proved that they don’t know what they’re talking about by yielding bad results.
O/T: My daughter just shared this on FB. Some of you may have already read it since it was written in March.
http://usa.goooh.com/2011/03/16/taxes/charley-reeses-final-column-why-we-have-taxes-and-deficits/. I would interested in some responses after some of you read it. Good idea for me to share on my FB or not????? Please let me know. Thanks.
Also want to say that my heart hurts and I get SO angry when I read LTE’s in our newspaper. So many are the typical ones you would expect to see in this very red area……so filled with hate and either outright lies and half-truths. One can tell where the people are getting their info–either Faux News or right-wing radio. There’s two hatchet jobs in today’s paper. I couldn’t even finish either one…….skimmed over the last third to half of them. 😦
I notice on the c-span 1 ticker that Debbie-WS will be live in Iowa at approximately 3:00 ET today.
thanks for the heads up, watching now. Love Debbie.
With all the yelling, I couldn’t understand if the crowd was supportive or combative. ??????
Here’s the DSCC press release which recaps all the polls that show Dems leading Rs. Good to keep handy for background.
As a fellow Bears fan, this must have killed PBO to have to do this.
I know right? I’m not from Chicago but I do loooove the bears. I was rooting 100% hardcore for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Oh well, what’s done is done. 🙂
I was watching FoxSnooze at the auto repair shop getting my car fixed and I saw the news about some court declaring the mandate in HCR unconstitutional, as well as Meghan Kelly showing some poll showing that 70% of Americans believe PBO made our troubles worse. This is how low the right wing will stoop to make PBO a one termer, they’re shoving this crap down people’s throats and it really pisses me off to see people buy it as gospel.
On topic, I was pissed that the FudgePackers won (I’m a Steelers fan), but hey, I’m over it, Hopefully the Steelers are ready to kick ass and dominate this season.
Ditto, Steelers fan all the way. 😀
Me too Love some Steelers….
They are FEEDING their base. PPP and Gallup polling share the opposite. 59% believe the President is not at fault for the current economic crisis. I hear Teathug talking points at work all the time. A conservative women I work with is in HEAVENLY BLISS that Rick Perry is entering the race. She says not only will she vote for him but she will work for his campaign.
Rick Perry will be a formidible force folks. He will have the Evangelical Base Rightwing Base fired up! Not to mention Racist hate mongers, anti immagrationist, homophobes, and anti government crowd. 😕
That is Fox is feeding their base with LIES. Rethugs at work believe the Second Coming of Jesus is here with Perry’s entrance.
In case you guys missed it, here’s some delicious Presidential eye candy from his visit to Michigan yesterday, courtesy of my lovely wife and her amazing photography.
Thank you, Eclectablog.
you and your blog rock.
So do you rikyrah.
Thanks Electablog. I just printed some of these for my scrapbook. 🙂
Excellent photos and love the quotes from the speech below each photo. Please than your wife for us.
I loved your wife’s photography. Tell her I think it was a very nice touch to include a photo of Pete Souza.
Here’s an interesting take on what we could do if the individual mandate is struck down: http://theincidentaleconomist.com/wordpress/all-is-not-lost-if-the-individual-mandate-is-struck-down/
Well, that gives me hope. The only sad thing is that so many who live in red country will not be helped. I know my, our, state would go for that as long as teabagger Rob McKeena does not win the governorship. Tien, sometimes I get so angry that we do not have a state tax and taxes are not going up anytime soon. Maybe we should hire a hit man to take out John Enima.
It is no wonder we are so broke.
Dorothy, I usually like your comments, but I really have a problem with your comment about hiring a hit man. I know you are not serious,
but we shouldn’t use violent rhetoric like that.
OT – but good news
I am always pestering my family (in person and online families) about buying local. I am sure you folks will eventually get so tired of it you will roll your eyes like my children do. With that theme in mind I was delighted to find this story about Farmers Markets.
More than 1,000 New Farmers Markets Recorded Across Country as USDA Directory Reveals 17 Percent Growth
This gives jobs to local and smaller farmers, while saving fuel costs and allowing folks to get healthy fresh produce.
Go Farmers Markets……
Thanks. WIW. This is one of my favorite topics. I have a small garden, so I depend on farmers markets quite often. Going there tomorrow in fact. If I had the means, I’d have a small farm. I knew awhile ago I was not a city girl….born and raised, but country at heart 😀
Last story for the day

DOE Offers Loan Guarantee for Cellulosic Bio-Refinery in Iowa
This refinery uses corns husks, leaves, and other waste products so it does not cause the price of corn to go up.
Love the Commander in Chief jersey! And Aaron Rodger is quite easy on the eyes….mmmhmmmm. I hated that the Steelers lost, and the Giants are my team, but the Packers ain’t that bad, lol.
The Packers visit looks as if it was great fun. Although I think POTUS forgot to let McCarthy speak. I love the interaction with Woodson and Rodgers with POTUS. They look as if they were having a great time.
Yes, a great time. Remember how awkward GWB always looked at these events…..truly pathetic. I love the President’s enjoyment of what he does.
Whether it’s inspecting a battery factory in Michigan, or addressing a DNC event, or holding a town hall, or rejoicing with athletic teams, he is in it every minute.
I love how PBO was like:” if I’m part owner, then maybe we can do a trade, by sending _________ down to chi-town”
Woodson: “minority owner”— I love PBO’s reaction to what Woodson says. He looked like he was dying of laughter!
I loved how PBO was like: “enjoy it while it lasts……. keep in mind, I’m the only guy here who can ground flights going into ( I think he said Wisc.)”
hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!! PBO is hilarious. I love how he enjoys doing even this, even if it was very painful for him 😦 (Poor Bears).
Go Packers! Love the President and the Pack!
The President loves sports, he seem to be having a good time. It’s good to see him smile. With all the things he has to do, it’s so nice to see him relaxing and having a good laugh.
OMG! I love that video and those pictures are hilarious. The good humor is infectious. Coming from Viking territory the Green Bay win is a painful thing for many people here too. But they are pretty cool guys and the President looks to have enjoyed this event very much. This post just made my day. 🙂
Okay everyone is mentioning there team, let me mention mines, Go Cowboys!!!!!!!!
BOO-HISS (I bleed EAGLES green) 🙂
I’m there with you Alycee, only due to my rabid Eagles fan son 😀
Alycee, then we are bitter enemies. Except for our support of President Obama.
See you on the football field, and see you on the battlefield to fight to re-elect our President. OBAMA/BIDEN 2012
It is good to see him smile and have a lighter moment. His ability to live in the moment is rare; this is even more incredible when I you consider all that he has going on.
