IN MY LIFETIME I HAVE WRITTEN SEVERAL NEWS STORIES REGARDING POOR AND CONTAMINATED WATER SOURCES…THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR IT…AND MANY MUNICIPALITES TRY TO GET AWAY WITH IT BY REFUSING TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY…THIS HAS HAPPENED ONCE TOO OFTEN.

      • January 10, 2016 at 8:04 pm

Not just municipalities and states. My health issues stem from contaminated water at Camp Lejeune. The known contamination went on for about 40 years; just in the last two years that the feds are admitting to it…

I remember the President’s first SOTU as though it were yesterday! One of my favorite things is when the Sergeant-at-Arms introduces each President … couldn’t wait to hear him say it that year, and have Barack Obama walk in!!!!

I remember that as well, JO’B. Why is it that time feels so compressed as you get older? These years have flown by and I can;t bear the thought that this great man’s presidency will one day be a memory.

PRESIDENT OBAMA HAS SACRIFICED HIS PERSONAL LIFE FOR NEARLY 8 YEARS TO LIFT THIS NATION OUT OF FRANKLY…A SELF IMPOSED DARKNESS…IT IS OUR GREED,SELFISHNESS.MATERIALISM,RACISM…YOU NAME IT…WE SUFFER FROM SO MANY OF THOSE DISEASES. ONLY GOD CAN LIFT A NATION OR THIS WORLD FOR THAT MATTER…IT IS THE PEOPLE OF THIS WORLD WHO HAVE IGNORED ALL THAT OUR VALUES SHOULD BE….AND GOD WILL MAKE THE FINAL DECISION REGARDING THIS PLANET.

some of the things that have puzzled me in the gop primary is media & gop trying hard to convince us that

    – dumb-as-doorknob rubio has ANY foreign policy depth & understanding of complex geopolitics. that this ill-informed scumbag can even say something of substance in response to what PBO has done & is planning;

    – jeb has foreign policy and national security experience – why? because he was a son of a prez & bro to another?

    – an election “miracle” is going to happen in NH and suddenly convince base voters that kaisch is their best chance at winning WH since he is governor of Ohio

It wasn’t getting enough traction from the DEM candidates to pickup his cause so IL Dunce-o had to do his own dirty work. Maybe
Dunce will send his investigators to Canada to research Ted Cruz’s canadian birth certificate.

Cruz obviously scared DT and he’s peddling like crazy to undercut him. I don’t think Bruce Springsteen is going to be pleased about this blowhard using his music.

    • January 10, 2016 at 10:55 pm

Guess what? Who the hell is going to cry over this Ted Cruz birther? Ted Cruz sat back and kept his mouth shut when that racists liar Trump were questioning if President Obama was born in this country, well now Trump is hitting him.

    GE TODville.

My twitter timeline tells me that tonight’s Golden Globes is a disaster — not surprising, considering the warmed-over, unimaginative dreck Hollywood produces IMHO.

Don’t really like Chris Moody, but this 4 minute video is well done — especially the GOP rebuttals (from Jindal’s hilarious [creepy?] entrance, to Jodi Ernst, Marco (thirsty) Rubio, Cathy McMorris Rodgers, and ending with the felon Bob McDonnell).

What on earth is the hold that Trump has on the media – they bow down to him, refuse to call out his lies and dismiss anyone who would support his opponents – this is truly scarrey for a democracy
    http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/abc-cuts-ties-union-leader

ABC News severed the partnership it had with the New Hampshire Union Leader, the state’s largest newspaper, for its next Republican debate, a network spokesperson told Politico on Sunday.

The report did not specify exactly why the network severed its partnership, but an unnamed source told Politico that the relationship between the network and newspaper has been strained after the Union Leader participated in the Democratic debate last month and published editorials on its front page railing against Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

I like Leo a lot. It was tough being nominated for an Oscar at 18 years – showing a beautiful heart for a while – then trying to play the bad guy after that. He has been openly big on Climate Change action since Gore’s ‘Inconvenient Truth’ in 2006. And is a big advocate for clean renewables. Tonight — the protections of indigenous peoples.
      Bravo Leo!! Onward and congrats.

    • January 11, 2016 at 7:22 am

I love this moment. It’s tough to be the conscience of a nation and he has given his voice to many great causes.

First time I ever saw/heard David Bowie, I was 14. He was on Soul Train on the Armed Forces TV network when we were stationed in Germany. He was weird and wonderful. Couldn’t get enough of him from day one. Forever love. ❤️❤️❤

Dudette, I’m shocked and saddened to hear of David Bowie’s death. Thanks for these memories. He paved the way for so many today. What talent, what a heart, what an icon. Condolences to Iman and his family. RIP, David.
