Sometimes I think it’s time for him and his family to move on, then I watch POTUS and FLOTUS, like today (POTUS speaking in Milwaukee and FLOTUS visiting the kids at schools and the couple in their garden) and I wish they could stay another four or eight years. Love this President, First Lady and their family. There is no doubt I will miss them so much.

So Bernie is all set to try to get votes from right wing Obama haters, who hate him too. But why fight for the Obama coalition, they don’t need them. Boy that makes sense doesn’t it? Maybe he think those grumpy old haters will see another grumpy old man and vote for him.

Hope I don’t get into trouble for the length. I’m going to cut and paste just part of one exchange I’ve had with a guy today on Facebook. Note I said ‘part’ and ‘one’ (of many). He is your typical holier than thou conservative……young, not eve 40 yet!!
With Clinton however, we’re not talking about antics, but rather, breaking the law. That is unacceptable and I will criticize her actions all day long. On your part you instead invoke the GWOT as your example of a GOP member doing wrong. Sorry but first, the President did not break the law, and in fact had all the prominent dems on his side voted to authorize it (including Clinton). I was/am in the intel community, and I can assure you there was no lying on the President’s part. To make that claim you’ll also have to challenge Russian, British, German, and then some intelligence too. Regardless, the dems who voted for it and then chose to criticize the war out of political convenience, all saw the same intel. Iraq did in fact have the weapons, the components, research, and the facilities to build them (ALL of which was banned in the UN resolution… not just the weapons). Sure we did not find the mass quantities of serviceable weapons we expected to find, but that is irrelevant. They were in fact inventoried by the UN back in 91 and Iraq never proved they were destroyed. Furthermore, the fact that Iraq had all the components, research, and facilities still at their disposal, made it easy for them to reconstitute any lost capabilities within months. Saddam even admitted to the FBI he was going to do just that as soon as he got the sanctions to end. Please, do not try to debate me on this one. I live in circles closer to what happened than you can imagine. I’ve also deployed and put my life on the line for that same war. Hillary on the other hand, since we’re getting into intel, was made aware of a situation after she supported attacking Libya (Why by the way?) and leaving a power vacuum. The security was getting worse and Ambassador Stevens himself sent multiple requests for additional security (even wrote about it in his diary!). Recent emails even showed the recommendation was made to Clinton to pull out all together. Clinton did not act, nor did she care. That is a failure on her part and a great reason why she should not be trusted to be President.
And here’s the part about healthcare. As I said, typical talking points Repub. Spiteful, no compassion, no kindness. (I shared the letter from Brent. That’s what he was responding to.)
On healthcare you can show me all kinds of anecdotes on how someone was helped through the ACA but I can do the same where it has made things worse, including issues of my own family members. The bottom line is, the ACA promised to bring healthcare to the ~46 million people they identified do not have healthcare. The ACA has managed to provide ~11 million people with it’s limited healthcare and that does not include the numbers for how many lost their current healthcare or the fact that prices are going up. Yeah, way to go Mr President… Never mind the fact they could have taken the money set aside for the ACA and handed it to those same 11 million people and given them better insurance for the rest of their lives (with most of that money still left over). The fact is, he did not fix the problem. I will concede that it is good we have allowances for pre-existing conditions, but that coupled with the rest of ACA is what some would call overkill. To make an analogy, it’s like taking a nuke and dropping it on Syria and saying at least we killed ISIS.
I too am all for helping people as a faithful Christian, but I’m also one who believes in teaching one to fish rather than giving it to him or her. I don’t like the idea of the government taking my money to mishandle it in their broad stroke strategies to fix problems experienced by the lower class and those in need. The government’s job is to provide equal opportunity and a level playing field, not to give more and more things away on the back of those who earned their living.
A faithful Christian who wants to support people while taking away their healthcare - best to ignore such folks tnmtngirl - they are full of conspiracies about the democrats - the media supports them over and over. Their No 1 thoughts are for self.

In one response I told hm that it wouldn’t matter what provable facts I put in front of him about Hillary, knew he wouldn’t believe me so I wasn’t wasting my time talking about her. Did say before that that she wasn’t my first choice and that I do have some issues with her ( and Bill), but compared to a single one on the other side, I would gladly support and trust her!
As a believer in Jesus Christ, I am all for helping the needy, instead of the greedy known as the rich folks. I am all for helping the needy rather then spend billions on wars.
The only time people like that faithful christian complain is when the poor is being help. Give Donald Trump a tax break, use taxpayers dollars to pay to build or repair some billionaire ball park, that’s just fine with these people. Waste billions in some un-neccessary war, they have no problem.

And it is still only March 3, 2016. We have over 10 more wonderful months to witness.
After that, we will have The Obama Foundation to witness.
He is not going anywhere. We are not going anywhere. THIS is the revolution: not a violent one, not an angry one, but an effective one, an uplifting one, a cleansing one, a strengthening one, a transformative one.
Other people may occupy the Presidency, hopefully they will be competent, and do good.

So what to do now? The Republicans’ creation will soon be let loose on the land, leaving to others the job the party failed to carry out. For this former Republican, and perhaps for others, the only choice will be to vote for Hillary Clinton. The party cannot be saved, but the country still can be.
A few year’s ago, when she was still an Ohio State Senator (and back before her Bernie days, when I still liked her), Nina Turner was making one of her frequent MSNBC guest appearances and she told the host:
“You know, my grandmother used to say, ‘You can put truth in the river five days after a lie; truth gonna catch up'”.
How ironic that, now that she’s a Bernie Spox, her grandmother’s wisdom seems to apply perfectly to Sanders the candidate.

I think Ted Cruz believes that Russia and China are our enemies. Confused by his answer. These guys are so full of hate and violence. Trying to watch the debate… but they make it very hard. Five minutes in and I’m already feeling terrorized by them and their crowd.

This is just wrong. And frightening and dangerous. Chris Wallace asks Ted Cruz how he’d respond to threats out of North Korea today, on nuclear weapons. This is where they all should fucking defer to our current President. It’s current events, and the President should be the one voice speaking on behalf of our country. Eff these effing people.
