I would so love to have them come back to Hyde Park in Chicago, but I can’t see how that could ever work. It’s a regular Chicago neighborhood. And even I would have some choice words for my beloved Obama family if they screwed up the already screwed up traffic in Chicago!

Thanks Neena, didn’t even notice. Allison came in 1stest. This was a great event for our President. Watched it all and wanted to shout out for the young man that introduced him. There are really more of the Repugs out there that have realized the same as Mr. Brown but too ingrained to accept it came from the Black Man in the White House.

Nena, this is the very serious consequence of thoughtless people thinking a bully will solve all of our problems. A bully will cause the loss of thousands of lives, trillions of dollars and will soil the reputation of the United States for a generation or more. The loss will be incalculable and there’s probably a fair chance we’ll never recover from it.
Trump knows absolutely NOTHING about what the military should be asked to do, what the universal restrictions are, what the penalties would be if they followed his whims, and doesn’t care to learn … you built that, GOP!
Today on my morning walk, I ran into two separate Democrats, each of whom had drifted away from politics for the last several years. They both asked me what ‘I’ was going to do about Donald Trump. I told them WE need to register a lot of Democrats and GET OUT THE VOTE. One of them told me that her son’s life had been saved because of ObamaCare and we could not allow anyone to take it away. I said, once again, it’s on us to get people out to vote. If we do that, we win. If we sit on our rears, we lose.

I believe Wisconsin is in the next batch of primary states coming up this month. This visit by President Obama can’t help but bolster Hillary Clinton in that race. In this way, our President can support her without once mentioning her name or appearing to endorse. This is one of the zillions of reasons why PBO is a political genius.

Me too. There was one incident in which I felt so bad, cramping and shivering, that I wound up sitting on the floor of my classroom, huddled against a wall and wrapped up in one of my male student’s jackets. One time I left during my planning and lunch period to go home and get in the bed for an hour or so to return back to school to teach my last class of the day. The school’s secretary told me in a condescending manner that the next time she would have to dock my pay. After that I stopped coming to work ill, whether it was the result of painful periods, allergy problems, or for any other reason when I felt out-of-sorts.
Just give all workers a good vacation and sick leave policy, and nobody has to be singled out as to “why” they are not going to be in the office. We know the drill - this can come back to haunt women who may perhaps be competing for promotions but are found to take “more time off” than male applicants, so …
Not that I’m not in favor of this, in the interim!
First job I ever had - Women could take time off because they were “sick” (paid time). Men had to give a definition of their illness (e.g. flu, broken leg, whatever)
